It was a fun topic to dive into. Lately, I've spent some time with my collection getting to know it's value and I've been surprised. I had no idea those Star Wars movies went for so much.
I treated myself with Real Genius for 🎄 2 years ago I got for under $20 I was surprised with the slip cover I still have it sealed .

I think the original 4K release for Pineapple Express didn’t come with a slipcover, so that could be why the PS5 slipcover goes for a lot. Some of the expensive slipcovers I have are the 4K slipcovers for The Shallows and the first Deadpool movie. Deadpool was originally released without a slipcover but was later released with a Walmart exclusive slipcover.
I think you might be right about Pineapple Express. The Shallows and Deadpool are grail slipcovers for sure.
I typically don't mind buying 4Ks without slipcovers. Because I have been super lucky to find the OOP slips at my used media stores. And I got the hookup so I get them for free.

kind of a morbid comment but i try to educate my gf about my collection so she knows what to sell stuff for when im dead and gone lol i just reminded her to check prices to slipcovers as well lol. most people would have no clue the value of some of this stuff

If yo car about slipcovers at all it’s best to just pre order or get the movies day 1. I have the 4K slips for Star Wars episodes 1-6, bought them all from the DMC.
I agree! Very nice getting all the Star Wars with slips I had no idea they were worth so much. I'm continuing to look into the value of my collection it's been a lot of fun.
