@@cooldude4886 Well, you have two types of collectors, people that only do it to make money and people that do it because they truly enjoy collecting. I would love to have my full set of trick or trade 2023 and 2024 at a graded 10. I even plan on getting my full set of twenty fifth anniversary, graded. I would also love to have that as a full set at a grade 10.
Just had to say this video was absolutely amazing to watch, and it made me extremely happy to see another collector get their childhood cards graded and to receive some extremely great grades on them!!! Good job, man. Keep up the good work!!!
For sure ! I have quite a few favorites that are just "low value cards" but my favorite cards which I know dont really hold a value at high grades regardless xD like random Muk cards
Also yes, for centering they use a 60-40 criteria. So if it falls within that range then you’re good! (As long as the rest of the card is in good shape ofc)
That makes total sense, its just confusing I guess LOL as someone who never submitted before , you just look at it and youre like what would it take for a front and back to be centered to get the 10
I love the personal stories you shared about trading cards for snacks because you didn't have a lot of money growing up. The value of these cards is inconsequental, you wanted these cards preserved for your own personal enjoyment for many more years to come! This is what it is all about!!! I thought my childhood collection was gone until a few months ago when my mom found the charizard I pulled back in 1999. I also sent it to PSA for grading, but I have no interest in selling at all! You took better care of your cards because my Zard only got a PSA 6 after being thrown around for two decades 😂! This find got me back into collecting, and I am now rebuilding my complete vintage sets.
Thanks ! And thank you for sharing your story. I think my favorite part about the hobby is everyone has their own story as to why they collect even as "adults". We get so caught up in living our lives, going to our jobs etc but I dont think we can ever be too old to just ENJOY the things that we love
I love PSA 9s as a collector. I stand by, buying the CARD itself and not only the grade. I love getting 9s when all I want is a mint card without having the jump through the dice roll of individual sellers hiding damage lol ( not to say that all psa 9 cards are guaranteed to not be messed up )
What option did you do for card submission? It's kinda pricey to send cards to PSA! I have some old cards I really want to grade but in order to get high insurance the cost per card is kinda crazy. Wish it wasn't such a barrier!
I did regular bulk / the pokemon june special for a smaller submission. When I send the cards in I didnt even put insurance on the cards since I read pretty much insurance a lot might not cover the "full value" of the cards if we are guessing about the "graded value". PSA automatically has insurance on the return though
Really enjoyed watching I'm thinking of starting a collection too, thanks for uploading! I couldn't agree more with your take on PSA 9s vs PSA 10s. What was your first Pokémon game btw?
I wonder if PSA has a record of all the cards of that type scanned and they compare the centering and stuff to it. And then subtract points as damage are counted.
So why shouldn't I buy the BGS 9 Rocket's Mewtwo that I want for my collection? What do you think is a better idea for me given that I am someone who wants certain cards enshrined in a slab with a high grade on it? And if you don't see the sense in grading except for when someone wants to sell them for a premium, then I should assume that you mainly got your collection graded for this video?
For sure ! In this hobby you find what makes you happy and if getting that BGS 9 Rockets Mewtwo is your thing go for it ! I never tell anyone what to do, its only my opinion and my feelings lol. I mostly gear my video towards just most casual collectors that are new to the hobby so they dont get sucked into getting burned out or feel like all they do is spend tons of money because every youtuber is hyping up how everything is an "investment". And I pointed out mainly I graded my collection for in case something happens to me like if I die, my family would know some things are worth a bit more to sell! Hope that helps =) Enjoy your rockets mewtwo its a cool card
@@peanutbutterpandapuffs Thanks for the response. I understand, but I am genuinely curious. Love the vid man, keep doing what your doing! The poliwrath may have a small indention or a crease on the card which always brings the card down to at least a PSA 6. Also, how long did your PSA order take since I have one on the way also!!
I submitted it end of May like 5/30 was when they received it. So coming back in July it was roughly a month or the 45 days that they estimated for the base submission !Yea I might have to try to look at the poliwrath again, I was most shokced by the one haha I really thought it was pretty clean
I actually never knew that. I always just assumed 9 10 being near mint and then 4-7 being a random toss up on how they feel and 1-3 a toss on if they feel like giving the 1
@@peanutbutterpandapuffs 9-10 mint, 8 one corner issue, 7 two corners. Below 7 you start getting into stuff like surface blemishes and stuff especially of the corners look sharp and you can’t figure out why it graded lower

That's a gamble you take with grading cards and especially cross grading. PSA is the biggest name in the graded slab market though...so even it they graded lower I bet they'll hold similar value it not a little more than they did in the SGC slabs.
I agree with this, luckily with the big companies the grades will always hold somewhat similiar values or if not more than the smallers/lesser used companies
Thanks for watching and saying it's awesome ! yea I'm shocked people like you watched it haha . I just really enjoy sharing my joy in the hobby without all the clickbaits lol

Nice video but when you’re talking about people buying graded cards you’re only thinking about the value of now… Let me put it into perspective. Let’s say you know what you know now but it’s the year 2001.. Would you pay $150-$200 for a PSA 10 1st edition Charizard? Same thing.. It’s an investment for the future. That’s all
Yea I read both your comments ! I love reading feedback and definitely for all grading companies we need to be cautious of gatekeeping grades, even things like Black Labels. For sure I think values definitely we have to think about the future as well, my main concern have always been my opinions lean towards casual collectors ( sorta like me ) who enjoy the hobby but could EASILY get burnt out by focusing too much on the values/chases. Thanks for watching by the way and listening ! I love when people have open discussions rather than just "oh this sucks" without fully listening lol
Also I’m kind of cautious about PSA and prefer BGS.. I’ve seen a guy get two Pikachu cards graded and they came back PSA5. He resubmitted them and they came back PSA10, PSA9…. So you gotta wonder why that’s happening… Also PSA tries to control population instead of just giving honest grades a lot of the time. So a less valuable card will have a far greater chance at getting a 10 then a very expensive card does. PSA is also aware of people collecting PSA1 cards and they have began controlling that Population as well.
🤣 at least you have a good story now . And if it makes you feel better , a lot of collectors let go of pieces at one point or another that they regret . It’s just part of the hobby so don’t be too hard on yourself
@sugarsweetfilms494 oops that’s weird for some reason that reply was for someone else . The price is 14.99 a card . With the special it was 2 dollar less which I think they extended . This is not including any upchwrges if your card ends up being valued more at a higher grade . Also does not include return shipping and your shipping to them which you have to decide to get insured or not ( insurance to send is like 70-80 or more ) . I personally did not insure my shipment out but they insured the return shipment . Hope that helps ! Which is why I don’t recommend people send just any card to grade and there’s such a thing as “junk slabs” where the card is worth the same as the grading price or less which makes it a waste of
I would never buy a raw tcg card . I don't want anything damaged. And if I do decide to sell something I know the exact price and I don't have to worry about someone not being happy with the raw condition. With my sports cards I don't mind leaving thicker cards or autographs raw.
Its good to PSA them if you just collecting and don't care about resell value, since PSA graded low can actually go below raw price. So yeah its not really profitable in a way if you are a trader. But if you are a collector, its fine, Hell, i PSA all my Eevee promo card that are just worth 10-15 bucks on market, and i paid like 10x the amount that to PSA them, lmao
haha nooooo I dont even recommend people use "middlemans" to send their cards. Whos to say if you have a "mint" card and they send the same cards in and just swap yours if you get the higher grade xD. I could definitely do a guide on conditioning and maybe itll help
Well not all of it I guess haha on the re-review of my cards there really wasnt a lot worth grading vintage-wise since most of them probably cost as much as the grading costs lol
"kind of pointless" LOL. Having grading as an option is great for the hobby and market. Puts money into the economy and back into the hobby, sorry wont be watching clearly need some education lol
Thanks ! I dont feel like you really heard the whole thing in like the first minute lol I pretty much did say I do recommend people buying graded cards sometimes lol just not the premiums that 10s or black labels ask for or grading junk slabs . But anyway its just my opinions ! Its okay to disagree and feeling diffrently =) have a great day
This just show you know nothing about pokemon cards and their value 😂😂😂, you mostly sent useless and unwanted cards and expecting higher grading. Better save your money on a separate account for that family you spoke of man! This ain't it, literally 25 dollars per card to grade it up plus shipping and the waiting to get them back. No hate but like dayum, seems you don't care bout money like that to even speak about leaving inheritance to your family.
Which cards were useless and unwanted? Togepi tag team is 140 in a 10, tyranitar is 260 in a 10, charizard v 250 in a 10, blaziken is 430 in 10, gengar is 620 in a 10.
For the 31 cards how much did it cost??@@peanutbutterpandapuffs
A 6 is usually a surface issue like a scratch or a fingerprint
I actually never knew that. I always just assumed 9 10 being near mint and then 4-7 being a random toss up on how they feel and 1-3 a toss on if they feel like giving the 1
@@peanutbutterpandapuffs 9-10 mint, 8 one corner issue, 7 two corners. Below 7 you start getting into stuff like surface blemishes and stuff especially of the corners look sharp and you can’t figure out why it graded lower
that playmat is amazing where'd you get it?
The mat is called "Pokemon Center Limited Yurutto Play Mat " ! its sweet I love it its done by an artist called Kanahei that does a lot of japanese mascots and some pokemon cards
That PSA 6 Poliwhart, try sending it to AGS grading. The robo grading
Why? 🤷
Ah hmm yea for me I think at most id send cards to BGS or PSA. I already feel iffy sending to these xD
How much was it to send all them cards in?
where is your playmat from?
Sorry for the late reply the playmat is called "Pokemon Center Limited Rubber Playmat Pokémon Yurutto" I hope you saw it pinned in the comments ! I love the playmat too its my favorite!
very cool return man
Thank you for watching ! I really appreciate it !
Psa graded my sgc 10s crossovers and downgraded 17 of my 28 cards! Im pissed....
Awesome video dude! 9k views 😱
Thanks for watching and saying it's awesome ! yea I'm shocked people like you watched it haha . I just really enjoy sharing my joy in the hobby without all the clickbaits lol
Very good points!
Thanks for your feedback!
Danke für deine tolle Arbeit 👍 wünschen dir eine schöne Woche, vielen Dank für gegenseitige Unterstützung, ❤ Siggi & Anne ❤️
thanks!
i really like the mat, where did you get it?
The mat is called "Pokemon Center Limited Yurutto Play Mat " ! Hope this helps!
Where the F did you get that mat!!!

Why did they up charge?
I love the video ❤❤❤❤❤
thank you!
Don't lie, you licked those cards to clean them before your PSA submission. 😄
Why you gotta call me out like that for haha
You remained me about vin and that is a really really really complicated ❤
Nice haul!
Thank you for watching!!
You couldn’t afford booster packs as a kid, so you want your family to have money to buy booster packs if they bury you, very sweet 😊
Vaporeon jungle holo is tough to 10 and worth a lot. A 9 is great.
Yea I definitely also felt that way with my venusaur could have gotten a 1 lol, I should have maybe stepped on it a few times before packing it haha
Nice bro !
Thank you!
YOOO that Gengar is gorgeous... willing to sell it? 😉
Thanks ! For now no xD maybe in the futuuuuure. Its one of my favorite cards haha
Fuck !! Traded my childhood cards for a bag of weed, I had quite a good shiny collection, guess there called shadowless
🤣 at least you have a good story now . And if it makes you feel better , a lot of collectors let go of pieces at one point or another that they regret . It’s just part of the hobby so don’t be too hard on yourself
how much was the value of the total price to gt graded
oh noooo, were they from like 10s to 9s ? But yea like the other commenter said maybe it was the same amount of value regardless
@@peanutbutterpandapuffs I’m asking how much was it to get them graded roughly. I’d like to send some in myself
12:58, 14:16, 15:33, 16:48, 17:56, ???, 20:43, 21:37, 23:05, 24:42, 26:30, 28:00, 29:35, 30:21, 31:14, 32:30, 33:59, 34:45, 35:49, 36:20, 37:10, 38:26, 39:42, 41:03 - how you gonna reveal holding them like that? 41:45, 42:36
ohh hmm is there a proper way to hold it ? I had no idea I was doing it wrong sorry
Brother let me send 5 of my cards to psa thru you , since u seem to have a very good understanding of condition etc..., Ill pay you ofc.
haha nooooo I dont even recommend people use "middlemans" to send their cards. Whos to say if you have a "mint" card and they send the same cards in and just swap yours if you get the higher grade xD. I could definitely do a guide on conditioning and maybe itll help
@@peanutbutterpandapuffs understandable and thanks for your honesty.
I like bgs 9.5s
For some reason I keep thinking at some point PSA had some half grades as well. But I do like BGS as well too !
You gave a speech in the beginning and then like the first or second card contradicted yourself. Got a 4.
Overall great return tho bro, mad surprised you kept such good care of your things!
Charizard
hahaha why you talk like youre going to passaway anytime
haha maybe just my state of mind at the moment xD but you never know
Your chilhood collection? jajajajajaja.
Id say just on those ones he made out pretty good and doesn’t even sound like he’s rushing to sell them. You’re a clown 🤡 hating on this guy who is just trying to enjoy his collection
your reveal was slow af and im watching at 2x speed i could only make it half through. just my opinion but it turned me off of even checking out any other content. take care and gl
Appreciate the feedback ! Sorry it was so bad that it made you turn off youtube lol
@@peanutbutterpandapuffs lol I meant your content. But UA-cam altogether it is
you talk way to much man show the cards
fair enough ! i know i talk too much haha, my "short" videos always end up just being ramblings
@@peanutbutterpandapuffs I really like the commentary, it made the video more entertaining and it was fun to hear your point of view on graded cards.
@@professorbyleth8489 thank you ! I try to keep it genuine and honest while doing my own thing xD rather than the typical shocked face emoji videos pretending to be excited lol
No one's forcing you to watch...also not hard to just skip around to each card
Bro is yapping way too much
You talk too much. Just get to the point
why would you send in that trash those cards were not worth grading the ONLY ONE WAS THE 8 AND 9 CHARIZARD YOU GOTTA KNO UR GAME BRO THROWING MONEY AWAY IN THIS GAME PUTS YOU SO FAR BACK GL BRO BUT YOU NEED SOME COACHING
I appreciate you looking out for me!! Mainly I think the big hits like the charizard and the alt arts were worth it. The other ones I personally selected on what I thought was "higher value" or more precious to me sentimentally. I think , I did state that in the video I dont recommend others to send in "junk slabs" type cards also lol where under 50 cards end up costing more to send out than to actually be worth haha. Thank you so much though for the feedback ! Totally a lot of people do send out cards they shouldnt ( like my raichu haha )
The gangar is over 500$ 😂😂😂 know you’re cards before you comment.
Bro, he just wants to see his childhood plastered and his childhood cards in the most pristine case you can get
Wtf are you even talking about
Bro… he grading cards cuz he wants them in the cases. And stuff that’s not worth anything today might be later. But still the point is that he likes them and wants them incapacitated. He’s a COLLECTOR
TIME to grow up man, go out and enjoy yourself instead of wasting your $ on this fantasy make belief crap!
12:16 lol licked those cards clean ahah liking the video this far, cheers man!
surprisingly works very well, haha. Thank you so much for watching !
