Ye I was pushing mine in from the front 😲 and could feel the pull. So I will do it from the side yes 😅. The thought also crossed my mind of how it would be operating with a drink in - NOOOOOO
Hey Gavin, thanks for the vid. We recently got a slicer and I'm a bit disappointed. Maybe my disappointment will fade as I get more proficient :). One thing that irks me is that the blade does not always cut cleanly. I get some very raggedy slices, like you would with a dull knife and this blade is not dull. Have you encountered something similar and do you have any advice in this regard?
@@tomistallard it slices better when the biltong is on the dryer side. I've also thought of unscrewing the blade to insert washers to close the gap between the input gate and the blade. Haven't tried it though.
@@bluebean7001 thanks for your reply! The batch I had problems with was really dry... Perhaps too hard? I was having trouble cutting through and making a slice.. I haven't used my cutter much and was hoping it was just that batch, rather than a dodgy cutter. Sharp and spins... So must be my batch.. I like the idea of bringing the blade forward.. That makes sense. Might try that too. Cheers. Regards Tom
Many thanks for this Gavin! I bought one of these and have found it rather intimidating to use! Not any more 😊 this is a great help. Kind regards
Excellent video. Greetings from New Zealand.
Very useful video, thank you.
Thanks Gavin 😊
Hope you are enjoying your cutter Angela
Do you have a video on how to sharpen that blade?
Hey Gavin - Are you running this on 110v or 220? I am in canada and have only 110v available.
Yup took a small bit of my thumb on one of these......
Making me jealous with the speed!!

I've had the same issue. Did you ever find a fix for this?
