All the gamestops around me have all shut down and the nearest one is like a 40 minutes drive and the only other gamestore here only deals in retro games, have to get my current gen games at target which is a 30 minutes drive if I want physical now which is a pain in itself
They've been in a transitory stage for years now, the managers are correctly spooling it down to something that it's organization will fit inside with the new landscape. The days of the game trade are over, it was not really fun while it lasted, I played a few games at a terrible cost that I enjoyed but eh whatever. No modern consoles to show for but the retro stuff I bought long ago that's still working.
I am just confused, you say you have seen it all and you have not seen a corporate entity close down a location like this............ clearly in your old age you have not seen anything
gamestop usually is more expensive compared to other retailers and online sites like amazon. i also hate how gamestop sells open products as "new". i wouldnt miss gamestop
well they can't exactly pull a 90's era toys R Us and put the box in a plastic sleeve with all the games behind the counter and we just take a paper ticket to them
Yeah, there's only like 4 left in my entire county and all of them are minimum 40 minute drive seems like they're liquidating the company without admitting they're going broke to the shareholders?
They offered me 8 dollars a hour for a seasonal employee. Store manager only get 16. So gamestop should close if that is all they pay staff.
Same here

Of all the ways to find out you're losing your job, this is about the most soulless way I've ever heard of. Wow.
Wouldn't be surprised if some of the product gets "Lost" when packing the store up after the entire store gets laid off

Good DuckDragon 😂 I'm old enough to remember UBU 😉
Game are cheaper brand new at walmart and on marketplace they will not be missed
Still a pain to have to find an employee to unlock the glass than to just take a game off the shelf and bring it to the register
