I dead ass searched totally tabled witchcraft yesterday hoping you had done a play through since I have heard good things and saw it at my local game store. Had another video added to my watch later. But then on my lunch break today you came in clutch. What are the odds
That is weird, since it is a game most other creators covered months ago. I was pretty late to the party. I'm glad the timing worked! Thanks for watching!
I backed this on KS and then sold it because it didn't click with me at the time. Having watched your playthrough, though, makes me interested in it again. Thanks for posting. Exciting finish!
Funnily enough, I found out (through Rob's Gaming Table) that the campaign mode in this game is the one you should play first, because the standalone mode with the trials is much harder and you need some experience in the game to beat it.
I really enjoyed your Resist! playthrough but I never got round to buying it. The theming of this one appeals way more to me though. Production quality of your video is top notch as always. Thanks!
They are both very similar -- Witchcraft is a bit more forgiving and the end game is both more random but more interesting. Thanks so much for watching!
What a lineup of challenges you had in mission 3. I always seem to draw angry mobs or something. But it seems you ran out of luck after that. Nearly got 3/3 though, well played!
Yeah, it was a weird game. I had really good luck throughout the game with challenge cards, but really bad luck at the end. I think that was the third most difficult collection of conviction cards possible. But I didn't really have witches that could manipulate or reveal the conviction cards easily, so that was always going to be up in the air. It was a fun playthrough. Thanks for checking it out!
I'm waiting before watching. I played this a dozen times. I played this over a hundred if you count all the restarts partial way throughs. I have NEVER won, it's brutal!! I'm anxiously watching to see maybe.. maybe you have..? Is there hope?
I really like the trial at the end (calculated push your luck), but really hate villagers deck. My very first play...first 2 villagers cards were 3 and 2. Wish this was not part of the mechanics.
I totally see where you are coming from there. That is harsh. It forces you to place a premium on avoiding villager deaths, but that can be hard to do sometimes. Randomness is definitely part of this game. Thanks for watching!
That is tough. Resist I found to be unforgiving -- more like a survival game where you expect to lose. Witchcraft is still difficult to fully win, but I feel like I have a better chance. The powers of the witches and how they interact with each other makes building the coven and finding combos a bit more straightforward. You feel more powerful. I also like the end game of Witchcraft. I think Witchcraft is the more mainstream and enjoyable version overall. I personally like brutal games, so I have a lot of affection for Resist, but if I had to pick one it would probably be Witchcraft. But it is really a personal choice. Thanks!
@@TotallyTabled That info helps a lot. I might give Witchcraft! a try as a result. Resist! does not mess around; I have to play that game *just right* to stand a chance of meeting even a minor victory condition.
ok... you can just stop... I finally got resist to the table last week for the first time (awaiting on the reprint so I didn't need to pay $80 dollars) and now you have gone and done it again...sigh... just another game to add to my list... thanks... but seriously just stop already...
Both are great. Resist is definitely the more hardcore of the two. This one feels less like a brutal survival game and more like a mainstream strategy card game. I enjoy the end game on Witchcraft a bit more. A really great system all around. Thanks for watching!
@@TotallyTabled yeah.. still on nobleknight for the 2022 edition you have pay 80-100 bucks... and they also have the new edition for $36.. but yeah until the re-release of the game it was super expensive to get...
what seriously good timing! just got this in the mail yesterday! (thanks as always for being such a solo-focused channel)
Nice playthrough, I prefer this over resist. I like the theme better and the card synergy between the witches as well as the trial for final scoring.

Nice tension there at the end. I've only played my copy twice so far and have gotten completely destroyed. 😂 I'll have to give it another go soon.
Great video! Was looking forward to this play through. Thanks!
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching!

Game is delightful!

Thanks for the great videos on Witchcraft! & Resist! I prefer Resist! for the realistic, historic theming over the occult them theming.

Hope you enjoy the video. I'm not spoiling it. :)
I had a severe case of butter fingers, apologies. Yay, you did it! And I think I see the flaw in my strategy, thank you!

Which one you choose? resist or witchcraft
I'm curious to hear TT's reply on this too, as I own Resist!, and while I love it and this system, it is an absolutely brutal game.
@@dksocal The mechanism of these two games is exactly the same. What made you prefer resist?

@@TotallyTabled miniature market is already sold out of them.. hope this won't be like resist and sell out and not be able to find a copy... bummer...
Hmmm. That is surprising. I got mine at retail and I thought they were readily available. Hopefully they will keep it in stock.

First!
Thanks for checking out the video!
Looks like you have successfully dispelled your recent “health hex” 😉👍🏻💪🏻🎉great to see another superb video from you
I never understood why the hidden side is the lit side and the revealed side is the darkened side. Counterintuitive IMO.
