i have no idea what game this is but while browsing r/gachagaming i remember reading something about an 18+ gacha game and how one of the main mechanics was quite literally full out NTR. as in, during pvp matches if you lost then the other player would do the dirty with the units that were on your team and "conquer" them. and hilariously this led to a meta in which players would use teams of male units instead and witness "say gex" because they preferred that over the idea of getting cucked.
Both are bad in its own way,but the fiction one is easier to resolve just make them remember that those characters don’t exist and that virtual things shouldn’t affect you perception of reality
@arthurforni8957 the thing is, these guys know these characters don't exist, it's not a bug, it is a feature for them, it is an escapism that gives them the self fulfilling emotions of a relationship without the commitment of an actual relationship. You can't fix them without addressing the underlying issues that make them go into escapism mode, which can range from abusive families, to mental health issues or them just being terrible people.

I remember a couple of months ago hearing about an NTR game on the gacha reddit. Even after being in different gacha communities over the years (Arknights, HSR, R:1999) i am still so utterly confused as to how people are so wrapped up in their own obsession that they decide that 1s and 0s are more valuable than flesh and blood Then again, most of those people genuinely need help a lot of the time, so perhaps the obsession is a red flag in the first place
If 177013 can inflict trauma-level damage to some people, I don't see how some other can not get emotional damage when their pixels get NTRed. In a sense, it's more or less a case of developing attachments to some characters. When things like this happen, the head may see it's pointless but the heart won't. And that's the mild case. Severe cases include some radical Japanese idols's fans. And arriving here means you must have an inkling of what I'm saying. But yes. You are right about obsessing over pixels being a red flag. It's usually not that severe tho.
That is not a gacha community problem, while I agree that it has the largest base for that,it’s a lack of social contact problem,vtuber,Twitch,UA-cam all of these create parasocial relationships

for a bit context on the guardian tales part, It wasn't the mc(player) that got cucked but another playable character(monk cyborg). So basically, the players got mad not because they got cucked (cause they weren't) but the fact that they needed to add an ntr plotline in the anniversary character's story no less. While guardian tales does have a lot of darker themes(genocide, murder, war crimes, etc), having scenes like ntr and possibly non consensual relationships does leave a bad taste in the mouth.
This is me with ANY ntr. Why is it needed? Why not just create stories where it’s just the two characters in love? Why does one NEED the existence of a “cuck” to enjoy something? I just find that sad and pathetic.

The last thing I expected from this video was actual NTR in a gacha game’s plot. It also just feels off that they decided that’s what they should do during their 2nd anniversary, especially since I’m pretty sure that an anniversary might attract newer players who’d see whatever that was as one of their early impressions of their game.
I feel like its worth noting that the Guardian Tales one was for the anniversary in China specifically. They were even the only people allowed to play him for a while. I repeat: This NTR backstory was given to a character meant to be an anniversary gift to the players on the CHINESE servers. Who thought this was a good idea?
I can't help but feel the developers are playing with fire when they make a product engineered to appeal to lonely possessive males then hit them with the NTR storyline, It's like attracting a crowd of starving polar bears then ringing a bell covered in steak sauce, what did you think would happen? besides the same thing that always happens when people deliberately upset their target audience? You can't build a apiary then panic because you're allergic to bees
I know that it sounds dumb for people looking from outside, but I completely understand players feeling like they were "cucked" when devs canonically make the waifus they are literally selling to you interact/connect with male characters that are not your self insert protagonist. Personally I play these gacha games but I have never ever spent any money or got THAT invested in them, but I know that most players do waste their money in these games and from their POV I feel I would be angry at it too. Like, if I am spending my money on your waifu character that you created for us players, dont do anything that would ruin them for me. Thats about it. Though granted, when a game ever pisses me off like that I just drop it. Just sucks that you can never get your money back, but thats why you shouldnt have spent any to begin with anyway.
Honestly, I'm not sure "NTR controversy" is a fitting description for these situations. NTR would imply that these people were in a relationship with these characters to begin with. And frankly, the logistics dating jpegs aside, I highly doubt that even if these characters are sentient, they would even agree to date these people.
Doesn't matter. These Companies sell these characters on Parasocial Relationships with the players. Nothing is worst than breaking this illusion for them. You may laugh but because people were sold on this illusion. There are consequences.
@@arnowisp6244if theres a community for that i hope games don't cater for it! They aren't losing shit, the community that are for that kind of thing can fuck off and go whack off to rule 34 art instead, games should nurture a community that isn't mentally fucking insane
@@arnowisp6244 It depends on why someone comes into the game, To me, they are not sold on this idea of a parasocial relationship, so much as flowery slot machines with a lot of cute girls. besides, how is 'wants to destroy someone' breaking the illusion? I think the problem is, for the most part, these games are being sold as a sort of collectors paradise, with a lot of women that they let you play pretend with, and then folks get a strange idea of what is allowed in such a scenario. because I swear, 99% of the time 'breaking the illusion' is just 'the women have a personality that isnt submissive and obsessed only with one man the player' Like, use the first one on this very list. Faust. What part of that is ntr. what part of that breaks the illusion of her being able to form a bond with the player? I swear, people in gatcha communities freak out over the stangest things.
To be fair, GF2 had it coming. Raymond was the breaking point but there were plenty of signs that things would go wrong from the beginning. 1. Terrible dev-player communication. There was a test build that had the fatal bug of wiping the entire disc it's installed on upon uninstall. Practically no compensation was given. 2. Terrible continuation. In case people forgot, that game was a sequel, so they should at least have the decency to not discard the first game's estsblished plot and relationships. 90% of the world treats the girls as expendables and MC's organization is the few, if not only group that treats them as an actual person. A lot of things happened, they fought difficult battles, literally went through hell and back, formed a lot of bonds, grew really close to each other. You don't need to do the romance stuff to grow attached to them. So imagine going through all that and starting the sequel with "4 years later, they all left you." 3. Speaking of romance, it's pretty costly to romance the characters. Rings, dress, proposing etc. all cost actual money, and quite a lot. The delusional incels are their target audience and a major source of the game's income. They spent real money to purchase the characters' love, and expected the game to at least let them keep it. Not that it's healthy or anything, but they did brand it as a major selling point, so you can't really blame the players. And, again, the sequel starts with them all leaving you. So... yeah, that seems self explainatory. These all had a lot of people upset already. And then, at last, Raymond placed the last straw. It was not just a problem of being "ntr-ed by a bunch of pixels", but a result of a ton of underlying problems reaching its breaking point. I'd say the players are justified for getting mad.
@@stellarischloride7522 that's what they should do but no, they had to appeal to incel. I hope there's more ntr so these people will leave every good game.
@@master.baiter2050 So you agree that the fault lies with the devs then. After all, it's them that decided to do incel appeal for quick cash in game one, them who decided to make a sequel, and them who failed to keep up with the expectations of the first game and received backlash. If this game was anything but a sequel to GF1, none of this would have happened, and that's really... kind of sad, in my opinion. I have to say that I'm not defending the incels. I just personally think that the devs brought this upon themselves.
@@NareshSinghOctagon Again, you don't need to know a lot of the plot to know it's a terrible idea to make a sequel for a game with a literal marriage system and wedding skins and have it start with "everyone left you". Besides, the devs hyped it up a lot with the whole "sequel to GF1" thing, it's clear they're trying to aim towards fans of the first game, and given the age of the game, most of them should have at least cleared the main story by now and should understand most of the worldbuilding there is. In the second game, the events of the first game is essentially backstory, and that's a lot of things that do involve the main character. You cannot deny the importance of him during the events of the first game, and by extension, the girls' lives. I stand by my point. GF2 is a ticking time bomb waiting to be set off sooner or later. Something is going to go wrong eventually.
The funniest one are the ones where the protagonist is literally you. Just look at BA x Mahjong crossover, both progonists in these games are literally the player's self insert People are mad because they are being "cuckked" by... Themselves Also, I don't remember the bunnysuit incident having nothing to do with ntr, I thought it was some extremely patriotic people mad at the fact Hoyo was using lewd fanservice to promote what basically is national event of great historical value for chinese citzens
The bunny girl incident was because CN was jealous of Global lmao. Usually they were the ones who got exclusive events. So they made up being mad that one Chinese female character was in the bunny and said crap like it being disrespectful. I guarantee you if it was an event for CN no one would complain. They just wanted to take away someone's fun thing.
The set up for whole GFL 2 controversy has me head scratching... So they give players waifus, make money of players purchasing oath rings and wedding dresses, probably the most earning comes from this, "they went their seperate ways" ???? Honestly, I'm surprised that fans (whales especially) of the first game even wanted to pick up the second one, I mean, put your mockery aside for a minute and imagine that you grow attached to character and you indulge in fantasy of being with said character... then narrator tells you went your seperate ways, not even remaining in contact. Sure, IRL the relationship isn't real, just like the characters, but the fantasy was big part of the game. It's like the person who wrote story for GFL 2 wasn't informed who was probably the biggest source of money for the first game. Or they did and went out of their way to spite their cashcows.
At this point, GFL player's base is there because of the story; for GFL community that's the main thing, during the main story on the first game it's almost sure that things won't end well. By that time it's confirmed that G&K, the PMC, is not the same after Griffin (the person, not the group) sieze the power for his party. In the community it's a concensous that this "drama" was something from bad faith.
From what I have read, it appears that the devs kept making slight references to insult the CN player base during this whole ordeal as well, and chinese players tend to be more extreme when things like this happens.
You have to be delusional to think oathing dolls is in any way canon or that you deserve to have the dolls still oathed when switching games (GFL2 didn't even have oath system at launch).
Cheon Ryeo is not a drama tho, its actually a problem. We have anniversary going on, and they gave the players who sticks through that game that only have its campaign story as its only redeeming quality, a full blown NTR doujin plot as their anniversary event. Imagine the amount of meltdown that would've happened if GT is not a niche game. I do kinda get the vibe that they are trying to subvert the cultivation game ads, or just wuxia/xianxia story in general, where the guy in the story got done dirty and take revenge after grinding and got to the great heavenly something realm, and they plan to channel that subversion through the mountain fist ancestor guy story. Its just done so rough and tastelessly tho, on top of it happening during their game celebration event.
Surprised the Taimanin game that had a NTR login event with the tagline "Make sure to log in and check on your girls... or else." with a blushy smiley face and the most FOUL promotional art wasn't mentioned.
you forgot to mention about the book deletion in GFL2, after players found out that some of the books found in the character dorm room were very specific real books that were deliberately chosen to depict how the player treats the dolls, allegedly. The developer deleted not only those books but also other books that were also in the dorm. Players found out that those books that were deleted are also chosen to mock them, allegedly. Then comes the Valentine's day gift, where every doll gives the player chocolate except for daiyan (type 95). although the developer has made clarification several times, i find that the developer, especially the writing team, are equally wrong for making subtle choices that might be interpreted as anti consumer by the player base. i mean look at the western game right now.
I want to bring something called Fictosexuality that is sexual attraction towards fictional characters. Romantic attraction towards fictional characters, I think that is the reason for all the cases
The guardian tales one is especially nuts because it really came out of nowhere. The stories in GT are all about a dumb faced knight and princess saving the world while everything/everyone is stuck in this prophecies stuff, mixed with random references to anything you can think of and surprisingly really heartfelt moments. Why Chun released with that story is still a mystery, cos it's never happened before/after. The most recent main story chapter is basically a Rocky movie mixed with My Hero Acadamia for gods sake. Hopefully this doesn't give GT too bad of an impression because 99.99% of the stories in that game are top notch. The season 1 ending is well known for making everyone start crying
The collab outrage is stupid but how is it surprising that people dislike not being the main guy in a waifu collection gacha game, especially when these games are made for that exact purpose. Atleast quite a lot of them, I'd say that few like Limbus Company or Arknights are more around the world building but you have to be lying if you say you play Azure Lane for the story.
Exactly! These games are built on the parasocial nature of collecting cute/sexy anime girls who fall in love with you. That’s the ENTIRE point of the genre and what the developers bank on!
Tbh people forget that gacha games are aimed at coomers, parasocial addicts and lonely men's. Is not rocket science to know why people get mad at ntr situations.
But tbh man, blue archive have a pretty good story. Well for me and some other people of course. I won't force other to like it since to make someone like the story need to be genuine!
Still didnt expect Project Moon fans to be mad at Kromer Faust. Like i didnt know project moon fans were coomers in the first place since the gameplay is kinda challenging and most coomers dont do challenging gameplay. I guess you could debate that limbus is kinda easier
Honestly the game should either go full on parasocial gf/bf self insert like ba or azurlane that makes the character really into mc, or makes the character vary in relationships like fgo. Making it a parasocial gf/bf experience yet making the relationship between character and the mc vary is a root for drama And i noticed this cuck drama happen a lot in Chinese not sure what that means but there must be a reason
I'm not really sure for the last one because I've read that gender war in CN are no joke. I've only read one side so this is all I can get. Basically in CN there's extremist feminist behind the writing team that make female character abandoning mc (the player) for the npc because the mc is basically players to self insert. Now they're into CN gacha market, the male players become extremist and abandoned any games if the female character were into npc. Then this happened. That's all I got. Maybe anyone who knows about CN can tell everything below?
@@Rainin.7dang that is a good theory I thought that is because the Chinese are actually into ntr since a lot of china artist that I follow are into ntr and blacked,

Go full paradocial is very dangerous. Both for reputation of company online or well, people can try to harm employees Fgo is kinda weird because girls are usually parasocial but not guys. Very biased
Its usually the CN gacha community making mountains out of mole hills, I'd understand why they were upset if it was actual NTR, nobody likes getting attached to a character only to be given the middle finger. The CN gacha community has way too much sway over some of these games, I want to see male and female characters interacting with each other but apparently just talking to each other is somehow NTR, it's annoying and limits the creative freedom these games could have.
sadly your not wrong, most of it is because the studios for these games are in china (therefore there in stabbing distance.) or the CN playerbase are the biggest spenders.
@@fruitjuice225 The GFL 2 drama could be avoided if CN lost their server and Mica spent money on a global test server. No more bullshit from CN, they aren't even the biggest spenders anymore, KR and Global overtook them 3 years ago
The big reasom why talking to other men is such a huge problem. Is because thats how most Shippers come to light. This escapism CN players don't want to see their twitter feed filled with fan shipping of characters. They would honestly be fine with any talking but its because they can't stay safe with no Dumb shipper deciding to make a Normal conversation between a girl and a dude as a normal conversation. And instead turn it into a ship. Turns in Self insert CN fans be so defensive about it. Which yeah, this will never happen unless its done correctly. Or have enough fans getting used to it. Hoyoverse have a pretty good community co existing but at the same time having tiny civil wars.
my main issue with ntr in games is if you're going to make a character love another character, don't make them so overtly flirty to the point where it feels like they could be in a relationship with the mc and then suddenly change that personality and go for another person and completely forget about the mc and all that they've been through. simply just make them characters who happen to be friends or co workers and nothing more. easy problem solved i despise ntr.
Just don't approach NTR, problem solved, devs need to stop self-inserting their fantasy to a gacha players who are maidenless, like duh that's the reason people played gacha in the first place. The whole thing is dumb af because the devs start the fire. This is why BA is so popular successful and on top of the hill to a point of overthworing the Korean government (yeah no joke), since they don't have other male characters.
@PutraRhm I don't mind the self insert if it is well placed in the story. For example, I wouldn't mind if canonically firefly from honkai star rail actually became the mc's girlfriend or something because, unlike other characters, Firefly shows the most interest and intimate moments with the Mc. The rest of the roster only act like good friends or companions.

Revenge is bad plots often forgets the subject of the revenge often has done something that warrants that revenge and is evil outside that something and should be stopped. Honestly, the saddest part of that whole story (or funny, depending on your point of view) is that it was a preemptive breakdown released in the lead up to the event. Dude wasn't lying about having abandonment issues, if just the possibility of a fictional character fictionally giving attention to another piece of fiction sets them off like that.
Maybe it's because Arknights was the game that actually introduced me to gacha games as a whole, but it's difficult for me to form a romantic connection with any gacha characters because I legit see myself as their superior, like I absolutely adore some of them (especially Lappland) but I can't say it was ever a "please marry me" kinda situation
Limbus Company is the one gacha I don't feel like I need to spend money on with how easy IDs are to get thanks to the glorious yellow boxes. Not once did I look at any two characters and go, "man, they are totally flirting" or some other dumb shit that clearly isn't there
just before even watching the video I can say alone from the title that you gotta understand these people don't really have anybody so they turn to fictional characters for love and see themselves as their husband/wife/bf/gf whatever essentially being in a relationship with them as their sort of escapism from reality so you end up with crazy insane stories like these. I can't laugh I may chuckle at times but its truly sad.
I hardly comment on videos, but I want to express that I'm really glad how you acknowledge the power of fiction in real life and not just went with the "pixel waifutards dumb" argument as a lot of people do. Probably the only video that I've seen about this topic that tries to teach how we should live and let live, yet we must always draw a limit in our fun, if it becomes a toxic behavior. I personally don't enjoy self-inserting, but if someone can enjoy their favorite character without making a fuss out of it, that's completely great. Loved your opinions and introspective, thanks for your hardwork in the video!
21:45 I would like to express my condolences, not only would it be common courtesy to do so, to you for undertaking this endeavour. Take care of yourself, Tsunul.
I'm pretty new to gacha games (began playing hsr 3 months back and zzz 1 month back) This only proves that wherever you go on the internet, degeneracy always has its vines growing, crawling and slithering, like creepers.
Nah but the worst part is that they just HAD to chose the CN anniversary unit for it (for anyone unaware, they release specific units for the CN server anniversary as a celebration gift, so it's kind of a special thing for them... and they made him a fucking NTR victim lmao)
Not to mention that Chun Ryeo ( Da Monk Cyborg ) lost his credibility, status and even a functioning body. Only with that was enough to make a good story, the NTR part was like shooting someone in a wheelchair and then beat him
You know, I'm starting to think that Lowlight and co. moved away from GFL to make Arknights because they fear of what they had created. Meanwhile in Arknights, people don't mind getting their Mudrock NTR'd in exchange for Logos' mom. Or Nearl the NTR for her aunt. Or Exusiai by her squadmates for the memes. Treats the grand elder Kalt'sit as DaughterWife depending on the day. While making two Skadi's for the sake of raising her as a new age god while employing several lore-related Theocrats.
Reverse Collapse is not the spin-off. Reverse Collapse : Codename Bakery is the remake of the 2013 tactical grid based game "Codename : Bakery Girl",which is itself a massive overhaul of MICA Teams' first game, the 2009 kinetic visual novel "Girl Of The Bakehouse". Girls' Frontline is the prequel to the 2013 game,it's entire lore is built up off what Bakery Girl established,so if anything,Girls' Frontline is the spin-off and GF2:E is even more so a spin-off. And with how well made Reverse Collapse is,those crappy attempts on Steam were quickly demolished, and served to be the biggest indicator of just how non-genuine the CN tourists were when it came to the GF2:E drama. The final nail in the coffin is the global release for GF2:E,we will finally avenge our innocent chad Raymond once and for all.
@@defaulted9485The thing with AK is if u read Operator files or events u’d know who have some semblance of feelings to the Doc and the numbers are only in the single digits from a roster of over 200.Most just think of doc as just a colleague and that’s why most of the community doesn’t mind other ships.Unlike many other games where every single waifu is hellbent on the mc.
The best way to describe this situation to me is "Shameful but not unexpected". What can you expect from a type of game derivative of Visual Novels? Genre that in itself was in part created to take advantage of the loneliness of men.
The problem is that some of these games prey on the loneliness of their players, they release content that insinuates the waifus and player character have intense relationships with each other. They cultivate and profit off the desperate portion of the player base and then act surprised that this extreme group react so harshly to content that might have ntr.
I heard about the one game where the players basically gaslight themselves into seeing an NTR scenario. So seeing the title makes me curious to see if anything can top that and perplexed that this may or may not be a pattern.
15:00 Even I did not know this PGR drama. 😂 Gotta say though, the CN side of literally every CN-made gacha is insane. Great video btw! You're content is underrated.
The GT and GFL2 situations were understandable tbh, everything else is just weirds being weirdos. The Bandori and LoveLive one are funny because the fanbase is mostly made up of yuri fan so no one can actually blame self-insert players with "muh incels" whinning, its just obsessed yuri fans mad over the mere existence of men
ntr, and cheating in general is a kink that's generally frown upon by most if not all cultures especially china who are extremely traditional in their beliefs(same goes to pretty much any nation except for the US and western Europe as cheating there is basically so normalized every second couple does that). as far as i'm concerned if a fictional character is canonically in a relationship, their relationship is well known within the story or plot and has been since their introduction or developed feelings to another character throughout the story thats fine. For me personally, cheating in storytelling is something i generally distance myself from just as much as i distance myself from it in real life but you won't see me going absolutely batshit crazy over it. At the end of the day it's just fiction and it's not like these waifus were truly yours or you know... alive, on that matter in the first place so are you even being cheated on? By what? ink on a sheet of paper? Ultimately, it's a problem of loneliness and if people had their significant others in real life people wouldn't develop feelings towards fictional characters nearly as much but alas, the way we progress and interact as species leaves a lot to be desired and regrettably, the problem will only get worse as nobody really wants to sit down and truly talk about this problem so we as humanity could come up with a way to address loneliness issue and find a solution.
The only good thing to come out of the rewrite they've started this year. Not saying the game is bad (how could I do that after spending way too much money on skins for my future wives), but the entire story just turned into a mess after they went harem route. Especially since the old story is still present in the game
@thebigsam well what do you expect from a gacha game that went full on degen after it was dying? Not to mention other Gachas are following what snowbreak is doing like Azur Lane where can interact with the waifus and touch them because it sells. Which everyone is calling it the "Snowbreak Effect".
@@Jojo_Schmo Azur Lane already teasing about the 3D dorm way before Snowpeak changed their trajectory into an Ecchi game, but since the amount of number of characters in Azur lane they take alot of times to do so (also some game engine tweaks they need to do to implement 3D on a 2D game)
Fiction can really grab people. One of the most actually high scale public ones as of late is with that furiosa movie. The main villain of that does such a good job that the film directors had to come out and say that he is just playing a character. He is not this guy. Do not harass him. Because random people the street would just come up to him to do that stuff.

13:12 i got the bianca situation lol cuz nearly half of male playerbase hate watanabi cuz what he said to nanami and himself in general so no surprise, there similar case with Luna and roland ship but it smaller scale cuz most player like him and consider luna as lil sister
What saddens me the most with these types of behaviors is that the gacha gaming "ecosystem" suffers immensely as a result. Authors are now incredibly wary of anything that may spark outrage choosing not to tackle certain topics. This is why I've really come to like Hoyo for HSR and ZZZ as their games feature male and female characters interacting as well as multiple storylines that intersect making their characters and world feel more alive than something like Blue Archive where we're still waiting to know how the world and many basic things work even after nearing 4 years. I know this is a long shot but I'd like to see more mature stories in my gacha games, as I become older, always reading the same kind of feelgood stories or hyper tragic tales is getting really boring.
Complaining about characters that aren't real is ridiculous. However, been forced to play an story like the one in 9:40 is just a poor decision from the writing team, no one in their right mind would green light such a terrible story. No revenge, no real reward, no karma, just been forced to see a shitty story like an NTR game.
That Guardian Tales "controversy" is kinda well-deserved, I remembered everyone is clowning on it. Not to mention, I think it's supposed to be for CN anniversary as well? What did the devs mean by that? LMAO
So glad I'm an FGO player were we learn pretty quickly each time a servant is summoned its a different version of the servant (except for when its not) but still NTR is just cringe
i have no idea what game this is but while browsing r/gachagaming i remember reading something about an 18+ gacha game and how one of the main mechanics was quite literally full out NTR. as in, during pvp matches if you lost then the other player would do the dirty with the units that were on your team and "conquer" them. and hilariously this led to a meta in which players would use teams of male units instead and witness "say gex" because they preferred that over the idea of getting cucked.

for a bit context on the guardian tales part, It wasn't the mc(player) that got cucked but another playable character(monk cyborg).

Like, use the first one on this very list.

So imagine going through all that and starting the sequel with "4 years later, they all left you."
Imagine defending incel 😂 gfl fan had it coming
@@master.baiter2050 Maybe don't make a game targeted towards these people then?
Just look at BA x Mahjong crossover, both progonists in these games are literally the player's self insert
People are mad because they are being "cuckked" by... Themselves
Also, I don't remember the bunnysuit incident having nothing to do with ntr, I thought it was some extremely patriotic people mad at the fact Hoyo was using lewd fanservice to promote what basically is national event of great historical value for chinese citzens
That BA part was only a really small of lpud minority
Most of it just the chinesse and some japanese
Not even the koreans care about that
The set up for whole GFL 2 controversy has me head scratching...
So they give players waifus,
make money of players purchasing oath rings and wedding dresses, probably the most earning comes from this,
"they went their seperate ways"
????
Honestly, I'm surprised that fans (whales especially) of the first game even wanted to pick up the second one,
I mean, put your mockery aside for a minute and imagine that you grow attached to character and you indulge in fantasy of being with said character... then narrator tells you went your seperate ways, not even remaining in contact.
Wow that sucks, can you imagine having the canon saying your waifu divorced you, that suvks
From what I have read, it appears that the devs kept making slight references to insult the CN player base during this whole ordeal as well, and chinese players tend to be more extreme when things like this happens.
@@FRGBlackBurni mean, they're just searching for problems then
You have to be delusional to think oathing dolls is in any way canon or that you deserve to have the dolls still oathed when switching games (GFL2 didn't even have oath system at launch).
I love being able to differentiate fiction and reality while also being able to have crushes on characters.
Yeah that would have been a really good one to add, it was way too funny. I just forgot it existed at the time.
@@Tsunul Totally fair, lol.
To be fair, Taimanin was already full of fetishist stuff so ntr isnt really off the table
you forgot to mention about the book deletion in GFL2, after players found out that some of the books found in the character dorm room were very specific real books that were deliberately chosen to depict how the player treats the dolls, allegedly.
It actually a common trope in Wuxia novels, I am honestly more surprised that Chinese players are mad at it.
I'm just sadden by the fact that I'll probably never read a piece of fiction that would be as good as the Raymond Saga. Fiction peaked too soon
Limbus is the only gacha game that i can actually say that im proud to play
The collab outrage is stupid but how is it surprising that people dislike not being the main guy in a waifu collection gacha game, especially when these games are made for that exact purpose. Atleast quite a lot of them, I'd say that few like Limbus Company or Arknights are more around the world building but you have to be lying if you say you play Azure Lane for the story.
THIS, these basement dwellers are just coping.

14:00 2 months late, but if you don't know, CP in chinese means "couple," not... the other thing. Basically author is admitting to being a shipper.
Honestly the game should either go full on parasocial gf/bf self insert like ba or azurlane that makes the character really into mc, or makes the character vary in relationships like fgo. Making it a parasocial gf/bf experience yet making the relationship between character and the mc vary is a root for drama
And i noticed this cuck drama happen a lot in Chinese not sure what that means but there must be a reason
Is because prostitution and cheating is rampant in China. (In Japan too)
I'm not really sure for the last one because I've read that gender war in CN are no joke.

Both for reputation of company online or well, people can try to harm employees
Fgo is kinda weird because girls are usually parasocial but not guys.

The big reasom why talking to other men is such a huge problem.
Is because thats how most Shippers come to light. This escapism CN players don't want to see their twitter feed filled with fan shipping of characters.
They would honestly be fine with any talking but its because they can't stay safe with no Dumb shipper deciding to make a Normal conversation between a girl and a dude as a normal conversation.

my main issue with ntr in games is if you're going to make a character love another character, don't make them so overtly flirty to the point where it feels like they could be in a relationship with the mc and then suddenly change that personality and go for another person and completely forget about the mc and all that they've been through. simply just make them characters who happen to be friends or co workers and nothing more. easy problem solved i despise ntr.
This is honestly my take on the girlfrontline 2 situation.

Girls' Frontline is the prequel to the 2013 game,it's entire lore is built up off what Bakery Girl established,so if anything,Girls' Frontline is the spin-off and GF2:E is even more so a spin-off.

ntr, and cheating in general is a kink that's generally frown upon by most if not all cultures especially china who are extremely traditional in their beliefs(same goes to pretty much any nation except for the US and western Europe as cheating there is basically so normalized every second couple does that). as far as i'm concerned if a fictional character is canonically in a relationship, their relationship is well known within the story or plot and has been since their introduction or developed feelings to another character throughout the story thats fine.

@@Sky_Eden Yup, or the person who voiced Abbey from TLoU 2.
I want to be surprised but at this point i am not surprised this is a thing
Like that moment when people starting to ship Mudrock and Logos and people start raging only to find out Logos is a nice dude with hot mom then they want to be his stepfather. Absolutely bruh moment
Ayo this is amazing! Hope Asmon reacts to this if he hasn't already bruh
F/GO players when the husband/wife of a waifu is becoming summonable:
A. "Pack it up everyone, be respectable here."
B. "Player three has joined the game.
Release Sita from arcade hell Lasangel!
Saw some guys on Discord debating if it's wrong to love engaged fictional characters (specifically Kriemhild in this case as she just released)
Agree, my boi Rama deserves to be with his wife
AND RUGGIERO TOO! AND YOSHINAKA!
C'mon, Rama and Bradamante and Tomoe deserve their other half! 😭
FGO had a close one in LostBelt6 with an amnesiac Mash getting married to Bogart. Was averted due to part of the plot though.
Catherine: "First time?"
Raymond: "At least you had a lore reason, they just did it to me cuz fanboys raged!"
Erlking Heath :
" CATHERINE ‼️"
@@bimoprasetyo6862 Catherine: Silence, you still exist but you forgot about me.
Ling Yi of Snowbreak: I was a bit of a dick to Beta Adjutant and a maybe flirty with the girls but Fenny definitely hates that.... even most of the girls
Raymond: We're not the same, you kinda had it coming but it's your writers fault.
Ling Yi: Well, they pretty much erased me and took all my traits to the new Adjutant...
@@iskoconquers At this point there should be a Fan Convention only for erased/banned/super-not-canon characters only.
Speaking of Hoyo and HSR, i don't want waifus OR their version of a more mature story. I just want to know how celestial jade is played.
@@yaelz6043 its mahjong
Then there's HI3 which is a whole other can of worms lmao
Try FGO?
@@spiralspural8806 played that game for a year and a half on global release. never again.
THAT SHIT HILARIOUS ASF😭😭🙏🙏
Ending song is a remix of Heaven from Persona 4 (saw someone asking so might as well comment)
On the japanese truck's last part, it actually says "We must not allow this sin", or something like that.
Complaining about characters that aren't real is ridiculous. However, been forced to play an story like the one in 9:40 is just a poor decision from the writing team, no one in their right mind would green light such a terrible story. No revenge, no real reward, no karma, just been forced to see a shitty story like an NTR game.
Raymond Thundercock deserves to be a protag of his own game. This NTR adventure video was hilarious 😂
The story in guardian tales doesn't actually end there.
There's a side story.Where the senior and group basically fell apart
The side focuses on another character and they met Chun ryeo
And at the end of the story Chun ryeo takes them as their disciple
Okay that side story where the senior and group fell apart is nice one. Makes the story less awful since the senior brother gets his karma
18:35
crazy ass psychology refrence 😭 would not expect that in a video like this.
bruh, you gave me whiplash when you showed the "Im dropping this game" person.
That Guardian Tales "controversy" is kinda well-deserved, I remembered everyone is clowning on it.
Not to mention, I think it's supposed to be for CN anniversary as well? What did the devs mean by that? LMAO
MC getting NTR is a common trope in Wuxia novels. I'm actually more surprised by Chinese players hating it.
So glad I'm an FGO player were we learn pretty quickly each time a servant is summoned its a different version of the servant (except for when its not) but still NTR is just cringe
