We Do Lighting Better Because We Test! - Авто та транспорт
I’d say from personal experience the yellow helps in heavy rain and fog. But we just need brighter yellow lights. Now more power
⚡⚡⚡
Blue is traditionally used for rain, amber for snow and fog.
The beauty about yellow led bulbs is it doesn't blind up coming traffic as much as 6000/6500k bulbs. Guy in my erea runs LED bulbs in his headlamps, what a difference it does. Fallowed him during a snowstorm, his yellow beams were a lot better than my 6500k.
They can definitely be much easier on the eyes.
If the road is wet from a heavy rain white light is basically useless. You can't see a pot hole until is too late. I hope that yellow led headlight (Real bright ones) offers start increasing in the market.
Thanks for the video
We do too Ricardo! No problem!
Thank you for following my suggestion! I have auxbeam in my 2020 ram right now.
Glad I could help!
Great content guys! Keep going on that!
Thanks Robson!
I like the SV 4’S. Love all the info you put into the videos!!
Glad you like them!
@@HeadlightRevolution does it cause a glare for the other motorists?
Great videos! So much good info!
So if I have a dedicated bulb that handles both DRL and high beams (ie: I want them to prioritize visibility in inclement weather), are yellow halogens the way to go?
Thank you!
Note: I think you got a type-o in your title!
With this weather Atlanta has been having this video is perfectly timed!
Perfect for all that rain!
I do a lot of driving in snow at night, snow removal work. Yellow fogs are a huge improvement over the white bulbs I had. Now I need to try some bright yellow LEDS and see how they are. I drive most of the time in snow with just the yellows on.
Check out the 4Bangers!
I do both, Central Canada. We know snow! I have both Yellow Headlights and Fogs and second set of fogs in yellow too. love the yellow! Been running yellow for 18 years now.
Been waiting for this
More to come!
I have s4s in my 03 sierra. 3 or 4 years now. Love them. So when I upgraded my 2010 malibu headlights and fogs s4 was my first look. I went yellow for the fogs and white for the headlights. It was a toss up between the 2 strokes. Glad I went the way I did. After seeing this I think i would have been disappointed with the 2 strokes color. It could just be my mind playing tricks but i think the yellows do help over the stock white halogens just because of the contrast difference between the white s4 headlights. I can easily see the difference between the two when i turn my fogs on. If the headlight would have stayed stock halogens then they probably wouldn't show a big difference. Once again. HR is on their game and I love the information they bring. This is where I buy
🙏🙏🙏
Yes! I’ve been asking this question for quite some time.
At my place many would put 6000K - 6500K LEDs and they’re often brighter than their headlights. Not only that, once it was on a thunderstorm and this idiot turned on his headlights, fog lights and high-beams and what’s worst is that all of ‘em are at 6000K - 6500K temperature and blinds everyone coming their way. God, sometimes people’s “preferences” can make a difference on the road safety.
Glad it was helpful!
07-13 Sierra fog light with lasfit switchback fog bulb is what I have. It’s been an amazing white light and a really good yellow. That would be a good competitor I feel.
It could be! We haven't tested those before!
Glad saw this, I was about to get some DD SLF's but I want more output not just a color change.
For sure!
Are DD SLF white fog lights any better?
Which bulbs would you recommend me to swap with yellow for night performance. Dipped beam (H1) or foglights (H11)? Note that the fog light is built into the same headlights.- Peugeot 307 ph1
Ran my fogs with the SLF’s for about a month until one went out, then upgraded them to the SL1 and I am much happier. The brightness on the SLF just wasn’t there as shown in this video.
Thanks for letting us know your experience Robbie!
On the fence with yellow fogs. But at least these have yellow bulbs and don't need yellow lenses. Aftermarket fog light analysis is critical now because OEM's don't think new cars need them anymore when obviously we do. You're all we've got to help us choose.
Glad we could help!
Anything is better than the 2019 F150 factory fog lights. Ford really dropped the ball with every light on the truck
Sadly most of the time OEM is terrible! 🙁
Is it OK to use LED fog lights that have a fan? Assuming most fog light housings do not have dust covers like low beam housings have.
It is okay to use LEDs in fog lights, however if you do not have a dust cap for your fog - the GTR Ultra 2 LED or Morimoto 2stroke 3.0 might be one of the better options since the fans are protected
Can we get DDM 55w ProX review?
We have some DDM bulbs on our list for review!
de mist ify.
haha
So what's more optimal? A bright white, LED with a yellow tinted foglight housing? Or just buying a bright yellow LED foglight in a colorless, clear housing?
Yellow LED, clear housing!
@@HeadlightRevolution What about a yellow LED in a yellow housing?
IPF has led bulbs that can switch from white to yellow
Can you test the DDM Tuning Saber ProX 55W Accu/ V2 3000k.
We could at some point!
Can this be used as a headlight? Maybe for a motorcycle?
Absolutely!
@@HeadlightRevolution Thanks! If it was used as headlight, and then I turned on high beams, what would happen? An even brighter yellow? A combination of yellow and halogen color?
A combination of the two for sure!
You should do a demonstration on the hi/low dual led foglight. I added a pair to my car and the 6000k led hi goes well over 1/4 mile the low is bright enough to drive in white out conditions when the headlights are off.
The low beam is in 3000k
Not sure we've seen those before!
These are great too! About to buy a set from Enthuze. I wish the channel would compare Enthuze brand, Phllips and Sylvainia with the rest
I wish u guys had a store I could pull up to
We are located in Atlanta if you're out this way!

No xenon depot Xtreme?
Those are very comparable to some of the others tested!
So in summary, best to leave my yellow halogen fogs as they are
A brighter bulb may help some, only way to know is to test it!
Followed your link for the sv-4 it shows 9006: SV-4 and followed the make and model link for 2010 tundra shows H:10: Sv-4 but only in white.
If I wanted the yellow would the 9006: SV-4 fit a 2010 tundra ?
Here is the link to the yellow S-V.4 that would work for your truck!

Would like to see if yellow headlight film makes a difference with a white bulb.
This is covered in the video, this is the same concept as an LED bulb with a yellow phosphor over it.
Lasfit switchbacks rock big time....
These lights don’t compare to them.
We disagree. 😉
Can you do the SV.4’s in the rams vertical fog light housings ?
This video will probably be the only yellow foglight shootout we do, the results would be similar in any housing.
Can u test those in fog conditions pls, create fog and show us the results.
We can try!
I live in ND so i drive in snow storms quite often. I heard this myth that amber lights helped in these conditions so bought 2 sets of Rigid Industries amber 3" pods. One set are spot and the other are driving and let me tell ya, they suck.
Sorry to hear you didnt have any luck with them!
Actual amber has a better qualities than yellow. Also I have found with most rigid products has way to much of a hot spot to do any good.
Why don't youll just use steam machine in front of the lights and then measure the output.... Or a rainy/foggy day... That would be a more comparable comparison
It's very possible that something like this could be done!
@@HeadlightRevolution too bad these great bulbs you have shown or any other are not available in my country (India). At least not at a reasonable price... 🥲🥲
I don't know rick, the halogen bulbs produces better light pattern and brigthness.... at 2022 the yellow led lights are still not as good as the halogen.
That's because yellow bulbs are not made to be headlights! These yellow bulbs are built specifically for a Fog light use. Yellow bulbs will not cast light as well as a halogen bulb will.
bet
Bet. 😎
“White bulbs are always going to be brighter than yellow”
Only if all the bulbs are LED (as is the main focus in this vid)
GTR : BEST BRIGHT
SV4 : BEST BEAMS BATTREN
Right!
Personally I think yellow fog lights look awful and I much prefer 4600-5000k white lights.
I personally run SV4 low beams and GTR bulbs in the fogs, and they’re an awesome pairing for me and I have great light output for more rural driving as I often do during hunting season.
We love all fog lights!
Waste in my opinion. Get DD SS3 fogs...much better.
Morimoto 4Bangers are even better 😉
Sure. "plug and play" unless you need a anti flicker kit.
The anti-flicker module is still plug and play... 👀
