Concept environment based in the desert of Egypt. Realized with Unreal Engine 5.1.
Still amazed on seeing how nanite works. In this scene there are several millions polygons and still no drop of frame rate in real time.
The work is intented to study the concept of an egyptian ruins environment mixing elements of various actual real places as reference and photogrammetry.
The two head statues are photoscans made by me at the department of Anthropology and Historical studies in Lausanne (CH).
These colossal heads are replicas, respectively representing the founder of the V dynasty Userkaf - original comes from Saqqara - and the goddess Mut, companion of the god Amon - original comes from the sanctuary of Amon in Karnak -.
Both are today kept in the Egyptian National Museum in Cairo.
RealityCapture was used to process the photos.

The narrow passage gate is instead the photoscan of Mereuka's Tomb gate in Saqqara made by the archeologist David Anderson.
Main asset is by the talented Vasiliy Poryagin.

Impressive - respect from Egypt
Thanks I really appreciate it!
Impressive !
Pazzesco!
Like your St. Michael cave this looks like somewhere I’d love to explore!
Thanks! Well that is a real place you can actually go to visit and...perhaps compare the differences with my version. For this I mixed some reference from the real world but it is not really "real". Afaik at least 😄
@@virtual_dope Aha, well now I have a new holiday destination!
Hello, your UE environment is absolutely AMAZING!! I would like if is it possible to collaborate, to buy it. I work in independent movie production and with a team, I use UE in films. I would like to show you an example of integration between UE and live action footage (we integrate an animated dinosaur in UE in a live action footage in a night wood, but integrated with some tree and grass and fern in UE). I would like to realize some shots of an adventure guy in an ancient ruins. Thanks
Hi, thanks and yes we can talk about it via mail, or dm me on twitter/discord/artstation
@@virtual_dopeit would be great... could you give me your e mail?
We need the tutorial bro
Well still I am not that expert with Unreal. Actually I'm quite green in many areas of the engine. Glad you liked it tho. Maybe when I'll get more confident with it I will upload some tips videos
@virtual dope alright bro. Buh, u don't necessarily have to be really perfect because we really loved it however much u "weren't much of a pro" as u said
