- Day 22 Progress :
This was last nights run after I got home from work midnight!
Just practicing some throttles and brakes into the drift again rather than relying on clutch or handbrake, I need to get used to this feeling again of braking and maintaining speeds!
Not a full clean run, my graphics blinded me at some point of the run!
Will try new tuning setup tomorrow!
Thank you so much for the amount of comments and subscribes I get, to follow on my journey to learn this, one day we will try it on mount Akina for real~ I read every comments and taking all advices to thoughts and it motivates me to keep trying my best! I didnt expect I'd get this much support and subs ~
====================================================
Hey everyone
in this series, I'll be driving on Mt Akina everyday until I learn to do it smoothly, and eventually drift. I'll be posting my timelaps until I improve myself, and go to the real Mt Akina and properly drift there, and become a professional racer!
Of course I'm not the real Takumi or roleplaying as him, but because I'm trying to learn the same way he did, so you can call me Takumi, for nickname!
I'm new to sim racing, as its slippery for me compared to IRL
all these videos are for my self improvement, so advices are welcomed!
hoping one day I can race fellow racers too, make friends and race on these mountain pass :)
Even if I don't upload everyday, I try to do a lap of Akina before I sleep!
I work double shifts on 3 -4 days so I get tired when I get home but Im dedicated to learn how to drift!
Apologies if my English isn't the best~
Setup :
Logitech G293 + H shifter manual, Ebay handbrake ;-;
let me know where I can improve, downshifting, upshifting etc!~

Nice one, i see you're more confident about your speed, and you're pushing the speed more overall. Your steering itself has gotten very good too, i think its way above your shifting skills. What i can see here is that you're only understeering because you're cornering on 3rd gear most of the time, like here 2:43 your braking and steering where pretty synchronized but you didn't shift down, and its a really tight corner! always make sure to drop it to 2nd around 100/90kph before you start to turn! Shifting down can actually be done way earlier than you might expect, specially considering the milliseconds where the car is braking with the clutch engaged. Try focusing a little bit more on that so that your shifting skills pairs with your steering work :^]. Gambatte!
Line intentions are also Great
Also braking and throttle control. 😭 Is this how Bunta feel when he sees takumi improve everyday
yeah
I will try thanks! I thought i could do downshift in the middle of braking so the rev is back to high! If i rev before turning, the rev would be already at max rpm and car would lock the drift i thought.. but i will try this~
@@realTakumifujiwara it's more stable to turn while releasing the clutch, easier to get understeer, because the rear are as useful as the fronts until clutch is released. You might be able to do it at some point very soon but I find practicing things separately makes for a faster easier learning curve
improvement aside, what graphic settings are u using? i like how your game looks.
Thank u! I just use csp pure settings~
@@realTakumifujiwara which settings exactly? i've been using Pure along with C13 Aegis and it doesn't look as crisp.
@@ren2089 it may be my premiere pro editing which i just put a creative LUT on top 🥲
@@realTakumifujiwara Oh, that'd make sense. Thank you for the replies, though.
