Hello everyone, My name is Tapasya and I am currently living in Canada with my family. I have recently quit my government job in India. In this video, I am sharing my 10 years journey with all of you.

I'm just in a similar condition like you.. thinking to quit SBI bcz husband staying in UK.. Hv taken 1yr sabbatical and 6 months maternity.. but still my mind says to return back to the ofc seat.. but what about your next job? Have you thought about it??
Yes, I have. Right now I am taking care of my kid and looking an opportunity as well.
I can so relate with you… was in the similar situation and decided to put down my papers. I quit SBI in 2016

Mam I have heard sbi being the fortune 500 bank, it's experience is much valued by other banks . Is it helping you to find a banking job in Canada? I know you want to spend family time, but generally asking if you want a job in Canada banks, is this experience helpful? Thank you in advance 😇
Every person has their own experience in this. But as per me, I think I have to upgrade my skills ( some courses in Canada) then only I can get a Job in Canada' s Bank. Frankly speaking, I haven't applied seriously yet.

As per Bank's policies during sabbatical leave, no request of resignation shall be considered until the employee joins her duties. Since I was not able to join back I have been voluntarily retired after 2 notices.

Following your footsteps ma'am..i have been in SBI since 2014 and took sabbatical last year in 2022..now have to decide in next few months about my decision..its tough and emotional but watching your video gave me immense confidence and support :)
Hi Ma'am, I am also working in SBI as FO in agri branch. The work-life and pressure in SBI is just unbearable. Finally I have made my decision and left SBI and joining my old private bank back office work of product manager in the metro location. Hope it will provide you some clarity to take your decision.

Mam... How's the professional exposure in Canada after working 10 yrs in SBI... Do the banking sector in Canada prefers such experienced employees?
Everyone has their own story...sometimes yes Canadians consider but I think most of the time they look for some kind of certificate/diploma course from Canada. Like in my case I think I have to do certificate course in my field so that they can hire me easily. So far I didn't get any call but once I will do the course chances will be high.
