I have had the S23 Ultra since release. I have taken care of that puppy! No scratches and no damages to the frame. I have also not had any issues with heating or performance issues. I did with my S22+ tho.
Great content. I've had my s23 ultra since April. I use a case and a Whitestone dome film screen protector and have never had a micro scratch. And the body is in mint condition. And my phone has never heated up. And I'm a strong user. Ave, at least 9 to 11 on screen time. And as for the bezels. I left the plastic on them to help protect against scratches from use or from a case.
Good idea for the sides...I removed the plastic....maybe should have kept them on. I have a nicking folio case, amo gst others and a gel = plastic screen protector, not glass as easier to put on...pen works well on it. I love my ultra....and never find it heats up except at charging. I ain't no gamer....oh did get a little hot with taking many pic on holiday in florida, from uk.....
Came from a 14PM using my S23 Ultra for 5 months took me some time to fully costumize it and find out how to post in full resolution on social media but after all of that its the best phone I ever had honestly speaking battery life is crazy!
I have a Spigen case on mine and also a Spigen ring on the back, makes carrying super easy! I've used Spigen cases and their rings for a number of years. Good protection and carrying by the ring has become second nature and no chane of dropping it.
Yes, Gorilla Glass Victus sucks at being scratch resistant, and I wish they would make it more resistant. It may be good for drops, but the stupid curved display negates any advantage that has, as the edges are weak points. If you trade in, this can affect what you get and make a dramatic difference. It is my bugbear as I cannot get a decent glass screen protector that does not make me mad. I currently use a plastic one, but that makes the display look average. It was a relief when I saw Samsung has finally come to its senses, no more form over function, and S24U will have a flat display. Apart from this, the S23U has little to be negative about. I wish they had a non-S-pen version with a larger battery instead, but not likely so dreaming there. The cameras are solid but as DXO shows there are many issues and they trail behind the best. Thankfully the S24U is ditching the gimmicky 10X zoom and following the Pixel with a 5X, meaning better lowlight video and photos, more stable, and a much more usable range for the majority. A very good phone but most of the improvements are from ditching Samsung-made chips, ergo Exynos 2200 and SD8G1, so the better battery life, efficiency, and heat have nothing much to do with Samsung, on the contrary, everything to do with no longer using Samsung chips. So I am not joining the fans that praise Samsung for that. Like most 2023 phones the S23U is very good but for non-S-pen users, it is no better than the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, OPPO Find X6 Pro, Magic 5 Pro, iPhone 15PM, VIVO X90 Pro Plus...
Never felt it get uncomfortably hot, besides Nintendo Switch emulation, which I forced max GPU clocks in. Other than that, no complains at all but yes I too have 2 smaller scratches
I have a Samsung bug since day one on a S23 Ultra, Whenever I open my Facebook Messenger app the screen freezes and have to restart the app after the restart no problem
I have seen many videos that show it getting hot when gaming and having to throttle to cool the device. Maybe you have a case on so don't notice, or use GOS that power throttles; but no phone stays cool when playing AAA mobile games. Even charging tests show it gets very hot.
@@ChilledFossilofficial if I can afford to upgrade I will but if not I'll just keep my S23 Ultra it's still going to be a very powerful phone for years to come
Good job. I've been enjoying my s23 ultra. Hands-down the best of 2023. No cap.
Absolutely
Finally someone who took the time to review the build and durability properly, appreciate it!

Are you going to get the S24 Ultra when it's released
Probably by trading in the s23U- im expecting $700 credit but im hoping for $900 as it was valued during trade ins for the zf5
@@ChilledFossilofficial I'm not too sure yet if I'm trading mine in or not because it's not supposed to be that much of an upgrade 🤷🏾♂️
True so far there isn't even much I would change, aside from go to a flat display, but that's just me
