I always hoped Ken would get at least one last run in WWE. He's such a good character and promo, then had believability in the ring. The problem with modern wrestling is they rarely bring back veterans like Mr. Kennedy who could not only be a great world champion but help teach the new generation.

I mean he was never in the world title picture but he definitely coulda been a long standing IC champion and had a long career in wwe. and perhaps MAYBE had a Kofi Kingston pity championship run for a career achievement gift later on if he stayed in shape and made it to the lowest point in wwr history which was around that jinder/Kofi era. and if I were Mr Kennedy I would be just as unfulfilled with that as a tna title. so all he squandered in reality was a hall of fame ring but every bum gets one now. we remember him more fondly than a guy like great Khali who's in the hall of fame so it's not really a big deal. he shouldn't have any regrets. his peak was very good. solid character.
