Too bad he was the last superstar to face Eddie Guerrero before Latino Heat died. Lots of emotions ran in Mr. Kennedy’s veins and eyes and I’ve never seen him shed tears before until now. :(

After all these years, I'll never forget how much he and the SD6 meant to me as a fan.
So proud to say that I was there and in attendance for his last match. As a mega fan of his at the time, this is one of my most treasured memories of all time. I bought his "im your papi" shirt while I was there and wore it until it fell apart basically. That chair shot echoed so loudly and I can still hear it when I think about it. Eddie and Chris's deaths really killed any innocence or joy that I correlated with wrestling. Insane to think that it has been 17 years since Eddie last laced up his boots or made an appearance.

Ken seems like such a genuine humble all around great guy. Really an amazing interview Chris.
I actually recorded this match on my first computer I purchased. It was a Sony Vaio desktop with a tv tuner (yeah old school) and this was when Eddie Guerrero was turning face after his feud with Batista. The match with Mr. Kennedy ended with a steel chair switch after Eddie won via DQ. I remember wishing to see Eddie feud more with Mr. Kennedy and Randy Orton. This was when Smackdown was the better show

I remember that day perfectly when it was announced the passing of Eddie. Back in high school (in my 30's) my class was in the library doing research for a project. Literally the next day after the show, I was sitting next to my friend in the library and my friend told me that Eddie passed away. In my head I was like "this is just fake news", so I went to look it up and it was confirmed. I literally died inside and was in shock, disbelief, sad and considering Eddie passed away in my state of MN which I almost went to but chose not to just because of school. I regretted so much for not going. Also for the rest of the day at school and at home I talked to no one.

A month later an right before Christmas my pap died, an we buried my gram just passed 2 years ago. Late 2005 was a crazy time for me. I got eddies autobiography for Christmas that year. I remember watching this match, and seeing the chair shot at the end. For some reason the "disqualify that!" stuck with me. Never would've guessed that he'd pass a few days later. R.I.P. Eddie.
Everytime I think of Eddie Guerrero, I always think back to my first house show in Winnipeg back in September of 2003, Brock and Angle were headlining for the WWE Championship, but when Los Guerrero’s were facing the Bashams. No one that night, got the pop Eddie Guerrero got when he entered, not even Angle or Brock. When he got up the turnbuckle, and did his Frog Splash to finish the match, the place was blinding with flashes. Just one giant flash of light for a good three seconds, Eddie Guerrero forever became my favourite wrestler that night. Seeing him LIVE was such an amazing moment, I didn’t even know of what an honour it would become to actually get to see him perform LIVE, until a few years later, he would pass away so young. I will never forget it, Eddie Guerrero at the time was only a mid card tag team wrestler, only a few months later we’d see him crowned the Champion of the company because his star was so undeniable, you couldn’t keep him in the midcard. I was so emotional the whole week when I found out Eddie Guerrero died, my Mom even let me stay home from school that week because she knew what Eddie Guerrero meant to me.
It's a sick joke that fate plays on humanity. As far as what Ken says about being around death too often makes you numb inside, it's one of the most unpleasant and inconvenient truths in life. Rest in peace Eddie and Shad.
I remember when Eddie passed I was 18 or 19 at the time learning to rebuild transmissions and then the guys saw me tear up... everyone was laughing and didnt understand what was going on... man.. some ppl have major impacts on people's lives
I remember that last match of Eddie vs Mr Kennedy! Totally unforgettable! I was in high school when that match happen. What sad last match when it was Eddie's final days. R.I.P. EDDIE!!
I don’t watch wrestling these days, but I remember watching Eddie’s last match in 2005 with Kennedy and I never would’ve guessed that was gonna be the last time he’d make the walk to the ring. He won the match in classic Eddie fashion too, tossed the chair to Kennedy while the ref wasn’t looking and made it seem like he got clocked. I remember a few days after that watching the news and seeing the report that Eddie had passed away and I remember being upset cause he was one of my favorite wrestlers to watch
I miss Eddie guerrero so much I November Eddie guerreo win the wrestling championship from Brock lesnar at no way out that is amazing wrestling moments in the wwe we all wrestling fans miss Eddie guerreo love you❤
I'll never forget watching that match and seeing its ending and thinking "Uh oh, Kennedy's going to be mad now, Eddie better watch his back next week. I sense a feud coming." ....A few days later he was gone. :(
Mr.kennedy was the first wrestler I saw in person at the comic con in Chicago he took a picture with rockso the rock n roll clown very cool down to earth guy in person.
I thought Mr. Kennedy kill Eddie Guerrero with a chair shot when I was a kid. I am sorry to Mr. Kennedy. U still one of my favorite wrestler during Pg Era
I met Eddie at a hotel in Orlando after WWE had done a show the night before. I was honored to have had an opportunity to meet such an awesome ambassador of sports entertainment. Later, when he was on his way out of the restaurant with his family, Eddie came over to our table to say hello to my friends and wish us well. Super nice guy. It is no wonder that the WWE still honors his contribution to the industry.
World Champion or not a lot of people know and remember Mr. Kennedy and everyone thought he was good that’s all that matters. Should still be in the business today if WWE would’ve stayed with guys like him they wouldn’t be dry on stars
To be completely honest, when I was younger I thought Kennedy was responsible for killing Eddie. Thought that way for years until discovering more. I do remember crying at the news of his death. Still miss Latino Heat till this day. I also miss Benoit as a performer
I watched this match on TV at my grand parents house. I had a very weird and eery feeling. Didn’t know what the feeling was. Felt that feeling again years later when I watched Ultimate Warrior on his return.
I think when you reach certain point of the real definition of life everything makes you cry from the good news to the bad 😅 Miss watching Kennedy perform
Man if you put prime Eddie Guerrero in AEW dude would be *THE TOP GUY* dude was a generational star, *THIS GUY* had *IT* that everyone talks about had charisma just oozing out of him miss this guy dearly.
I just got into wrestling when Eddie died I’m glad to have seen him once before he died on television. I immediately liked him as did my firend who Showed me wrestling. Rip to one of the best ever

Yeah, I remember that still & always going to blame him for Eddie death for hitting him in the head with the chair. (If I'm not mistaken.)
And sadly wasn't Ken , Umagas last opponent after wrestling him on the Australian Hulkamania Tour???

Wow emotive memories
I remember when Eddie passed I was 18 or 19 at the time learning to rebuild transmissions and then the guys saw me tear up... everyone was laughing and didnt understand what was going on... man.. some ppl have major impacts on people's lives
I remember that last match of Eddie vs Mr Kennedy! Totally unforgettable! I was in high school when that match happen. What sad last match when it was Eddie's final days. R.I.P. EDDIE!!
I never swa that last match but mister Kennedy realy puts clarity on Eddie live so thanks and RIP Eddie
1:07 "I was riding with him and Benoit at the time". Oh boy.
I miss Eddie guerrero so much I November Eddie guerreo win the wrestling championship from Brock lesnar at no way out that is amazing wrestling moments in the wwe we all wrestling fans miss Eddie guerreo love you❤
I remember this like it was all from yesterday.
I can tell you, you were one of the best mike masters! That intro, man! 💯
I can understand that when people die you loss all your tears and such you don’t care but your so used to it I feel that
I thought Mr.
Eddie and Mr. Kennedy Two of my favourites wrestler ever
You can tell he had great respect for Eddie and they were friends hearing the sniffles he was holding back tears
Mr Kennedy has always been underrated
World Champion or not a lot of people know and remember Mr. Kennedy and everyone thought he was good that’s all that matters. Should still be in the business today if WWE would’ve stayed with guys like him they wouldn’t be dry on stars
All time Mr. Kennedy fan ,,,,,, New subscriber
The fact he mentioned Shad❤️❤️
To be completely honest, when I was younger I thought Kennedy was responsible for killing Eddie. Thought that way for years until discovering more. I do remember crying at the news of his death. Still miss Latino Heat till this day. I also miss Benoit as a performer
Ngl mr kennedy smacked the shit outta eddie with that chair, it still plays in my head😔
I watched this match on TV at my grand parents house. I had a very weird and eery feeling. Didn’t know what the feeling was. Felt that feeling again years later when I watched Ultimate Warrior on his return.
Eddie Guerrero ❤️❤️🙏 Latino Heat
1967-2005
I think when you reach certain point of the real definition of life everything makes you cry from the good news to the bad 😅
Miss watching Kennedy perform
Man if you put prime Eddie Guerrero in AEW dude would be *THE TOP GUY* dude was a generational star, *THIS GUY* had *IT* that everyone talks about had charisma just oozing out of him miss this guy dearly.
He could've been the top guy literally anywhere let's be real
@@the1thatis4real Oh I know he could of been
Why wasn't he champion in ecw and wcw?
@@biggbertz1 he probably was treated as vanilla midget by top guys in WCW so that could be a reason
@@biggbertz1 I couldn't tell you but if I were in charge in those places I would of made him *The TOP GUY*
Long live Mr.Kennedy
Appreciation to Mr Kennedy though.. amazing wrestler, very under Appreciated and clearly very caring.
Imagine the stories he must have riding with Eddie AND Chris.... basically a year within both would be tragically dead.
I just got into wrestling when Eddie died I’m glad to have seen him once before he died on television. I immediately liked him as did my firend who Showed me wrestling. Rip to one of the best ever
Mr. Kennedy did his role to perfection. I hated him but who didn't love that entrance. He Could've lasted longer in upper card.
Watched Eddie Guerrero on a Friday.
Lost him on a Sunday.
Didn't find out until Monday morning at school, looking up the results of TNA'S Resolution 2005.
