- For this edition of the 19s we take a look at the 2019 Kawasaki KX250. No this is not a 2 stroke. Kawasaki has finally dropped the F as there will no longer be a need to distinguish between the two. Kawasaki came to 2019 relatively unchanged in comparison to the 2018 model. Now they're playing the name games for sure... That's not a *KX250,* people are going to Google KX250 and see nothing but a bunch of 2T bikes... Their own fault when Husqvarna KTM sells another 2T bike.

Man I was thinking exactly the same...
For the few who wouldn't know it already, pmease let me play to "Captain Obvious". That is a KX-F 250 and that's fitted with a 4 strokes engine. The KX 250 was the 2 strokes model and is long done. Sadly it's been discontinued for many years now... I say sadly 'cause nothing ever beats a 2 strokes engine when it comes to excitement, simplicity and fun !
I guess Kawasaki thinks now people have forgotten they used to make both 2 strokes and 4 strokes. Hence they'd have changed the name to KX and no longer KXF for... "simplicity" maybe ? Anyway marketing can say whatever they want and name it any way they feel like, that is a 4 strokes and stays a 4 strokes.
I actually just bought a new old stock 2019 kx250 on Friday. I'm keeping my 07 Crf450R witch has bin bullet proof but it's just tomuch for my after it litterly almost killed me in a back crash 2.5 years ago it's just never bin the same I rebuild the bike but I'm kinda scared of it and my buddy just started selling Kawasaki so figured I'd give him the buisness got a good deal can't wait to ride it but there is still snow on the ground here in Saskatchewan Canada. This goes without saying I'm still a Honda man myself but price was right and I just so happen to live over top of the dealership my new dirtbike is litterly on showroom display right underneath my bedroom. I did a drunk video on my channel about the bike I'm so excited 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😛😛😛😛

Gunnar Pierce it prolly will next year with a TON of other changes cause normally the 250 will be a year behind on the changes compared to the 450
I wish it did I have more metal In my leg then most new pickups are built with and my CRF 450R was responsible for the metal plates I would love to have electric start I never ride far from my truck so I'm all for electric start I love my 19 KX 250 I'm used to a 07 dirtbike wow the handling is night a day difference.

THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER DROPPED THE ‘F’ ....the KX is legendary 2 Stroke!!! the ‘F’ designation has enough merit to stand on its own without piggy backing on the Laurels of the ‘KX’ identity. This is WRONG! Dirt bike fans let’s show our discontent by not buying this bike!!! KX is ONLY 2 stoke!!!!!

Those raw brushed aluminum frames and swingarms are so awful looking. When will they start powdercoating them like KTM. THey look like shit from day one.
