If you want to do some Lamb of God i highly recomend going over Memento Mori, those who know it know why ;) Other than that another great band that you might want to take a look at is Paradise Lost :) Love what you're doing!
Lamb of God is masterclass level metal. It was this album that they really started paying attention to their sound engineering. Their first album still sounded good in a raw sense, but their 2nd album here and on, they worked on engineering and expanding their sound which makes them one of the best metal bands out there. Each new album felt like a level up from the previous one. And Chris Adler is one of my hero drummers. He self taught himself drums on a right handed kit even though he's left handed. He's a very fast, technical, and precise drummer. His brother is also lead guitarist which may explain their level of tightness in playing. The singer Randy Blythe, used to be a bad alcoholic, but once he sobered up, he really started honing his craft, and it shows. He was also dealing with PTSD after serving in Iraq at that time, so I don't judge him harshly for his drinking. I'm just glad he's in a better place for himself. I think he's a hugely underrated songwriter. His lyrics are really good. I highly recommend you give the song the album was named after, Ashes of the Wake, a listen. It's more of an instrumental with some spoken words, which actually says a lot in a few words, and shows how tight the guitars and drums are. Keep up the good work my good man. Mahalo!
It's such a shame that Chris is not there anymore... He was really driving the band to surpass itself album after album. Ashes of the wake, sacrament, wrath, resolution, Sturm und Drang, they all surpass themself and go in places they never touched before. With the last one I really sensed that Chris was not there and that they stagned. I really hope it's just cause they had to release an album quick and didn't wanted to go too deep cause of the new drummer so they stayed in known water. I feel like they just pick in their bank of riff, it's all sound the same except momento Mori. Like you can't say it's bad cause it's classic sound lamb of god that we love but you can't say it's great either...

YES! Another amazing band I grew up listening to. This band is so talented and even to this day their sound is being replicated by tons of other bands.
This is one of my favorite metal songs of all time. I LOVE that he took a look at this.
Ohhhhhhh hellll yea- never clicked so quick
One of my favorite bands. one of their best albums and one of their best songs
The Faded Line is their best song. Hope you can cover it Geebz!
I loved this album when it first came out. It's my soundtrack to 2004. I had to drive 20 hours for work, and only had this CD with me! :)
If you want to do some Lamb of God i highly recomend going over Memento Mori, those who know it know why ;)
Other than that another great band that you might want to take a look at is Paradise Lost :)
Love what you're doing!
I've been listening to this band since for about 19 years now. They are revolutionary titans brimming with masterpieces. Absolutely outstanding.
You’ll love “Grace” by Lamb of God
Best song
absolutely LOVE Grace. that entire 2nd verse is amazing.
Like you can't say it's bad cause it's classic sound lamb of god that we love but you can't say it's great either...
this man needs to listen to converge. Anything on Jane Doe album
I found the one!! Saw these guys 15+ years ago, get to see them again (hopefully...) this summer! They ended that show with the rack Vigil, simply amazing.
Finding the One in this track feels like trying to throat punch a ghost...
RIGHT?
Love your channel, nice insights and good vibes
Please do Elder! You'll love em.
@@Clearingthepathtoascend I think Reflections of a Floating World is probably the best starting album. The Falling Veil is probably the most immediately rewarding track. Staving Off Truth is a good demonstration of their dynamics and song structure.
@@Clearingthepathtoascend it's hard to go wrong with Elder!
I think my deep cut pick (all time favorite Elder song) would be Release off their 2012 EP.
I vote A Thousand Hands! But yeah, something off The Reflections, for sure
Thankfully seen them
Live at ontario place . The speakers they pulled out for them was intense and so glad I sat to watch the performance and really enjoy the show . Ashes of the wake could be listened to the whole way through easily .
Just another request for The Smoke Of Many Fires, by Be'lakor. Aloha, duder
Oh yes. Be'lakor is tremendous.
Countless skies is totally killer too
BE'LAKOR IS ONE OF MY FAVS. THE DREAM AND WAKING
Oh man Be'lakor 😍
Last time i saw them live, they kicked this song up a couple notches
Contractor by Lamb Of God !
Not a huge fan of the band but Contractor is an undeniable beast of a song that fuses elements few metal bands could pull off let alone crush...
That song is just stellar. Not sure how he will like it, but around the 2 min mark is just perfection. Saw a circle pit for that the first time I saw them live and uuugghhhhh do I miss shows
THEY ALLLL DIIIIIIEEE!!!!!!
Thanks Geebz for being willing to take on some heavier stuff. Great break down on a great song. Keep up the good work my man. 👍
I'd be interested to see your reaction to Relentless Mutation by Archspire. That entire band is amazing.
That album had such a great metal tone! I remember when this came out and i was a teenager, then my older drummer friend pointing out the drums too. I was green( i only listened to guitars) man... i still listen to this, it had such a cool mix
