    I am a DIY Engineer who love to work in my own cars, I do have a Launch X129 scanner and I am looking to buy a professional scanner capable to monitor, activate, calibrate and have a learning/teaching capabilities.
    My mom has a 2015 Ford Fiesta with the powershift transmission and I found the hard way that most of the times just by recalibrating the clutch and forks will fix the problem, this is why I am looking for a scanner capable of doing this without getting bankcorrupted.
    Thank you for the help!!

      Great. If its having problems shifting gears and you use this test and the solenoids activate strong and fine, in my experience it's usually internal wear in the transmission that's the issue. Let me know how it goes.

    I get the p0752 code(sometimes the code goes off) and then my car disengages from drive on motion, i have to rev high before it engages again or possibly park,turn off the engine and wait for a while before it engages again.
    Sometimes when i start up in the morning and switch to drive it delays like a minute before it jerks into drive. Took it to a gear technician he says my gear needs a rebuild (which I'm not down with)
    My question is will changing that shift solenoid you showed in the video solve it? Because i had replaced it before worked for a while and the trouble continued but it only got worse now because I can't drive the car without it disengaging and it won't switch to gear 2, just remains on gear 1.
    Also i loosed out that solenoid and when i tested it manually,it clicks kind of fine to me(not that sharp but still considerably active) but the check engine light keeps popping p0756 and p0752 at intervals

      The codes and signs you've written of refer to shift solenoids A and B. However, verify your transmission fluid is clean and not low. Hope you are using DW1?

      @@DIYAutoworksNG yes i just performed a gear oil flush and put in DW-1 and also replaced the filter.
      When i went to get the filter they showed me one that looks square-like, does it mean the 2003 accord comes with an internal transmission filter? Because i have been looking around on UA-cam i haven't seen a video on it. All points to the external one on the transmission

    How to test Transmission speed sensors with this scan tool? And how to test Shift solenoids on live data while driving to see their values with this scan tool?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG

      You can do active tests on shift solenoids, but not while driving; car has to be off for that. But, you can of course monitor livedata from the shift solenoids while driving. I'm yet to see how to test speed sensors with a scanner.

      I've had mine now going to 3 - 4 years. After my first subscription expired, I had the tool for over a year or so without a subscription. I had zero limitations (cars: Honda and Toyota). That said, any function that requires connection to Autel servers won't work. Some cars do online coding, does features shouldn't work. The most important thing is having a backup before your subscription expires. If anything goes wrong, you can restore your car apps. Many people don't do this and are then forced to buy a subscription if files get corrupt.
      I did a video on what to expect when your subscription expires. ua-cam.com/video/LbjuKp1rYXA/v-deo.html

      I would advise you scan it. Some models of the Golf 6 came with the DSG transmission (combination of automatic and manual). They were some recalls. So I would say you scan to see what the module says.

    engineers a question the Autel MaxiCOM MK808 can be the same as the autel maxipro MP808TS in the solenoids of the trasmission I just start with scanners but I don't know which one to buy thanks for your time

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  3 роки тому

      Hello,
      The MaxiCOM MK808 is not an active scan tool and cannot be used for this kind of transmission solenoid activation. When it comes to choice, it really boils down to budget and what you want to use scanners for. If you say you are new to scanners and do not have plans for working on cars routinely, it may be better to go with the MK808. It's more than enough to start with. However, if on the opposite you want to go really deep into diagnostics and work on cars, then the MP808TS (or the MP808) will be a good investment (especially if budget is not a problem). The "TS" just means it's a TPMS tool. Either way, these are 2 good scanners depending on your priorities and plans are. Hope helpful. Very happy to answer anymore questions you may have. By the way, if you are settled on the MP808TS, I included a link in the description through which you can purchase the device on Amazon. All the best!

    Thanks for the video. I would have a question to you about shift solenoids. You can see mA of shift solenoids when you diagnose them on "live data". What do they mean and at what mA should they be?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  2 роки тому +2

      Thanks mate. Apologies for the late response. This slipped through the cracks. The mA is the current the shift solenoid is drawing to operate. Determining the values they should be at would be vehicle specific and should be available in service manuals (not owner manuals).

    • @orkhansafarli5992
      @orkhansafarli5992 2 роки тому

      @@DIYAutoworksNG Thanks for replying, But I would have another question to you about TCC solenoid engaged. TCC solenoid is in engaged only in 4th gear to let fluid flow through the TCC. Does it mean that TCC doesn't help the transmission while driving in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears? I mean don't those gears need help of TCC to move the car except 4th gear?

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  2 роки тому

      In general, TCC only lockup (to boost efficiency so that the engine spins at the same ratio as the transmission) when the car is at cruising speed. So it's feasible to not have lockup (which makes use of the TCC solenoid) at lower gears. Some TCC only lockup from 40mph. Depends on some other stuff but this is kind of the basic answer. Some manufacturers also design things differently.

    • @orkhansafarli5992
      @orkhansafarli5992 2 роки тому

      @@DIYAutoworksNG So does that mean TC doesn't have any role at lower gears, in terms of the lower gears occur with the help of oil pump? I saw a video on UA-cam and the process was happening like I wrote. But the thing is that, we need TC help to increase the torque of engine for Transmission in lower gears especially in the 1st gear cuz it is suitable gear for heavy loads to pull.

    • @DIYAutoworksNG
      @DIYAutoworksNG  2 роки тому +2

      It definitely plays a role at lower gears, when you are stopped at a red light with transmission in Drive, during acceleration (multiplication of torque) and also coupling. I was essentially referring to the lockup phase in my last response. As per lockup only occurs in higher gears during cruising speeds.
