The first minute is the end of 'Grantchester Meadows', a hypnotic acoustic guitar song about a memory of a summer meadow... The song you're reacting to is exactly what it says in the title ;-)

Back in the day they used to play this at all the clubs for everyone to get their dance on
They did some soundtrack work earlier in their career, as a band.
Legend has it that at a certain point in this track, if you have the right equipment and turn the volume up loud enough, you can hear David Gilmour mutter "this a bit avant garde isn't it Roger?" Can't blame him really...
I do remember going through efforts back in the pre internet days to try and find out what the hell a Pict was. I sure thought it was going to be some kind of musical instrument and not an ancient Scotsman.

The whole album is great
Pink Floyd was very experimental at this stage of their career. The Ummagumma album does have some great songs on it though. "Set the Controls For The Heart of the Sun" is a dandy; and "Grantchester Meadows" is a beautiful song that foreshadows what Pink Floyd was going to become.

Edit- Floyd did soundtracks. Their albums "Obscured by Clouds, "More" and some songs for the movie "Zabriskie Point.
Pink Floyd's "Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast" is a little easier to handle than this one.

This was before Floyd became the band we know today. So many better songs off of Meddle and Obscured by Clouds.
