Fun fact: The alternate hands aren't random! They're actually what you'd need in order to do each ranger's roll call pose. It's strange because as far as i know those poses were only in the japanese version, but it was a neat detail.
It’s better the males are pinned at the moment because the painless male molds are very fragile and wobbly. The female painless is much better than the pinned as well so I’m happy with the choices.
I love that this team was given in one go, I think it's the most fitting seeing how this was a team from a mini series continuation of Mighty Morphin, but also it's just so much fun to have all the team at once instead of having to wait years for Hasbro to complete it
It's great to hear that the LC Alien Rangers came with little to no QC problems. I hope Hasbro keeps improving. And it's cool that they are bringing back the windowed packages. I honestly never cared for the windowless packages. It honestly caused frustration, confusion, and problems in the community.
@@BaulFoodmanedits they hardly showed their reruns, they were ignored in Legacy of Power and they didn’t make a figure for the red alien ranger in the anniversary lineup for Overdrive.
A few things you should know: 1. The Blue Alien Ranger did use his dagger in one episode. The one where the Mighty Morphin team started the Zeo Quest. 2. Super Minipla recently came out with a Ninjor, and I think you would be interested in getting it as I think it's in scale with the Lightning Collection figures.
A nice, fun and detailed review in terms of positive similarities and negative differences. Such a short-lived team such as this with a lasting effect makes for an interesting choice for a full set release, kinda like the Psycho's. Also a nice touch they come with SOME Sentai-only weapons, which (as mentioned) makes them a nice collection piece for Sentai fan as well. Overall these are a nice addition to the LC and i'm curious if they'll do any more with them in the future.
Reason why the Alien Rangers never piloted the Shogunzords? The original Kakuranger footage actually meant that the Rangers themselves *become* the Zords. As they can't easily explain the loophole, the Alien Rangers do the ground combat more than the Zord combat and just not use the cockpits already set up.
Yeah the alternate “Blade Blaster” that is on the box artwork is the kakurelaser in its holster mode since their gun is also their dagger just holstered up like the Magna Defender’s Magna blaster
In the shattered grid arc in the comics when all of the rangers answers Zordon's call and then Doctor k fix their morphers. Aurico is seen without his helmet in one of the pages.
You know, I like how you added some shots that actually bring up the *very first* Sentai VS crossover ever done. Ohranger: Olé VS Kakuranger was the first crossover ever done because of lots of string-pulling from the OG Kakuranger cast that what would be short cameos end up being the spark of a full team-up. Props to you, sir.
Always neat to see a boxset to complete a team immediately. My wild guess on why the males are all pinned joints while the White Rangers has the updated body construction is that: the males were designed first before the new figure style was introduced, and when the the figure was made by the time the last one would be designed the designer was not in the mood to redesign all the males. Hoping for a Lightning Collection Ninjor to come someday. The auto-morph figure is nice and all, but a fully articulated one would be nice too. Maybe as a deluxe figure to include interchangeble parts for his other mode.
That was a fun review. The Alien ranger costumes were always some of my favorite. I just didn't like the gross alien heads. It was very cool to see that in the sentai they were all ninja. That made everything make sense. I may get this set just to display them as the sentai team.
Alien rangers I think we was of the teams that some people thought wouldn't make the cut in this line and here they all are. It really is nice to just get them all (we do need a Ninjor). Just get it done in one consistent release. Going to disagree on the Alien White being a pinned figured for consistency. The single jointed elbows should never have been used in the the line to begin with. Should have been retired from all the Hasbro brands ages ago. At least for the female figures. But man would I have liked pinless being used on the old male bodies with the newer upper torso.
Technically S.P.D. won't be complete until Kat and Nova are released. Also, Dino Charge is still missing the Aqua, Graphite, Silver, Dark and Purple (both male and female) Rangers.
@@BigJoker how cool would it be to get a Zenowing and Doomwing 2-pack? They could call it: "Duel For The Silver Energem". Repaint the Dino Charge Morph Blaster accessory in blue and red for Zenowing and include swords and blast effects for both characters.
Finally just scooped this. Really hope we get all of the zero and Shogun zords. Serpenterra better be the first Mega fig. That or pyramidus if zeo line happens.
Great review. Personally I imagine them as the KakuRangers. I'm not one of those people that automatically likes the Sentai better than the Power Rangers counterpart, but just my personal opinion, I don't like the alien rangers at all. I love the KakuRanger characters and this is the closest and best I'll have to getting them. Funny thing is, I never got into that sentai, but I love the characters themselves. Of course if I had to choose between the KakuRanger show and alien rangers, definitely KakuRangers.
I thought what if the Alien Rangers would debute a little earlier and team up with the ninja rangers and Ninjor before master vile turns them back into kids. In other words, the ninja rangers with ninja megazord while alien rangers with shogun megazord.
Thank you for your objective look at this set. I was wondering if I should cancel my preorder but it seems like this set is worth keeping preordered again, thank you for this video.
Um actually there’s still a couple of rangers from S.P.D. we still need, and 4 more Dino Charge rangers Aqua, Graphite, Purple, and Silver/7-10 respectively! Perhaps maybe we’ll get them once Lightning Collection’s break concludes.

This is true minus for black for some reason
did a double take when I saw Sasuke's lil monkey hands, ty for confirming my hand suspicions lol

Plus it would eliminate the inconsistencies of separate releases

It’s awesome to see the Alien Ranger get some recognition since the Disney era shunned them.
how did the disney era shun them?

We're still missing Eric for the Forever Red lineup too. 👍

SHODO SUPER and SMP at the same time. But you know what is the better choice anyway.

Those Alien Ranger figures are pretty sweet.
I was really annoyed with this release initially because I thought they were smaller than the other lightning collection figures for some reason haha
Awesome video 😎👍
Great collection

Yes more powerrangertube one of the goat youtubers also Hasbro the flip head Ninjor is no excuse to not have a Lightning collection Ninjor
Great figures indeed, I just ordered their individual weapons from Etsy

Saturday my Ninjor/Ninjaman minpla showed up and this morning I woke up to my Alien Rangers getting ready to ship so I can display them all together
For $120 I would really have appreciated civilian headsculpts and more accessories but I'm still gonna purchase this bc its too cool to skip.
I tried to fit other heads on these bodies but I can’t get them to fit. Are the ball joints a larger size?

kind of want them for kakuranger now
Interesting, the Heroes of the Grid board game has sorta canonized the signature weapons with their action cards.

Now Dino Thunder and Lost Galaxy are also complete and not forgetting that Street Fighter X-over and Cobra Kai X-over teams are also complete.
