I’ve said before but the switch from Zeo to Turbo powers baffles me. I know, Sentai footage and all that, but Sentai didn’t carry over seasons. But going from Zeo powered by a crystal that only gets stronger over time to cars is just dumb. And what’s the first thing they do with these cars in the movie? Drive them over water! If only they had some flying Zords... like Zeo Zord 5 or the Super Zeo Zords or even Pyramidas!
While this was one of the weaker classic zord designs, it shows how far the designs have fallen nowadays when the Turbo megazord still looks way more like an actual cohesive robot than the modern megazords that all look like various bits slapped all over the place for the sake of having tons of zord combinations.
Ninja Steel is the only main Megazord that I think particularly feels like that. Samurai through Dino Charge have perfectly fine main Megazords with the Legendary Megazord being one of my favorites in Power Rangers in general. As for unadapted seasons of Sentai, I think the auxiliary mecha in ToQger are pretty neato and the main mecha in Kyuranger and Ryusoulger are cool. Zyuohger's toys kind of suck, but I think the mecha as portrayed in the show is good looking.
@@OniLink96 Personally I can't stand the Dino Charge zords. They look so lumpy and malformed compared to previous dinosaur themed zords, and the megazord has such lazy engineering. I do have to admit that the upcoming dinosaur themed sentai has really cool mecha, though. Hopefully it will be adapted into a Power Rangers series.
@@BingBong67489 personally I disagree. The overly cartoonish and overexagerated nature of the dinocharge mecha are fun to me and coincide with the theme of the Japanese show (can't speak for the American show cuz I havent seen it) and the engineering while simple has a lot of creativity behind it. however I do agree with the overall point that super sentai / power rangers toy design and engineering have been falling short and gradually have become less and less inspiring and cohesive
I get what he's saying about the replacement rangers mid season but for me I actually felt the exact opposite. I liked the change since I was also growing out of PR mainly because of the old cast. I had seen enough of, Tommy, and the change helped bring me back.
“Cr” means carbon ratio. The tires require air which has tiny molecules of carbon inside. The bigger the number the higher the carbon ratio required to make that tire perform as needed.
I Love carranger but before there was carranger . There was Super Sentai Turboranger which helped to appreciate what we got in Carranger. I have both and would not sell them for nothing. All the mechas have there flaws but that what makes them unique!
Adding black to the neck of red, and the vents on blue's bonnet, helps the aesthetics quite a lot. Also, the shield background should be black with chrome rim, dots and 'C' logo only. The shield does actually attach properly to the arm - there's a screw hole on the underside which is about the right size.
Oh I had this one! I freaking loved it as a kid. Lost the whole thing, sword and shield too at some point. I hate that I lost them. Anyways, I unironicly love the design. Nostalgia has a factor in it I'm sure, but I actually didn't watch the season like I watched Mighty Morphin and Zeo. Even as a six year old I considered it silly. The megazord transformation was hype. All the drifting and slamming against each other is so cool to me. I did pick up In Space, Lost Galaxy, and Light Speed Rescue after and I love those seasons and zords to death. Love these videos. Keep it up!
I also lost interest in Turbo and might not have watched most of it....that is until the new cast came. I really liked them and that's what got me to watch In Space initially. In retrospect though, the Turbo Megazord does look pretty cool. I'd like to have a Lightning Collection version, but not before Shogun, Mega Voyager, and Galaxy Megazord.
I really enjoy this design. However I find it ironic that turboranger was a show years before power rangers and that carranger was the show renamed turbo in america
I think I may be guilty of being one of those people who chewed their Power Sword from their zords. 🤭 I also started feeling I was growing out of PR with this series (I was 12). Space drew me back in for one final season though.
I sort of had it. My cousin, somehow would always end up with the latest megazords but he couldn’t have the thing last more then a week before losing ALL the pieces or parts somehow. He would usually just give me the left overs, i know some where remains of the other Zord of this line, I think it was just the pink and yellow. Also the mini turbo ram was great
I think if the turbo megazord had the head of the rescue turbo megazord, it would have been a lot better. That being said, the rescue zords are better in about every single way.
This is the only one I had as a kid. I remember that the most interesting part of it to me was transforming it so I would often transform it, mess around with the magazord mode for a bit and then take it apart so I could transform it again lol
Great zords! I was born in '95 and i loved Turbo but I was fortunate enough to get the Zords. Certain cars i see on the road remind me of the Turbo Zords.
Speaking of that cars movie, I actually somehow ended up with the second movie first, then the first one, and then the last one in the trilogy, and now they’re coming out with a fourth one.
0:41 I'm sorry I do NOT mean to correct u, but I felt like u said Bandai Japan 1997 Gekisou Sentai Karenja, The Turbo Megazord aka RV Robo was official released in Bandai 1996 Toy line in Japan (NOT 1997) because Turbo Megazord's second year was Bandai 1997-1998 in USA while Turbo Megazord (RV Robo) was officially released in 1996-1997 in Japan. Just giving u heads up. That's all, and also 8:11 Turbo was 1997 in USA (NOT 1998) 1998 was Power Rangers In Space's Year in USA and so as Seiju Sentai Gingaman's Year 1998 as well.

@@powerrangertube it's all good, mistakes happens so I guess I was the 1st and the only one who spotted this mistake. thanks for not getting pissed off at me.
I had this megazord when I was a kid, and the bits from windchaser that would attach to mountain blaster ended up breaking. I remember we went to toys r us, and they were thankfully able to replace windchaser for me, but then that broke too. Guess I was too rough with the toy when I was so young.
Love your reviews. I go through them as I build my collection I am building as I watch the old Sentai footage. CR would most likely stand for Carranger by the way. Cant wait for the rest of the turbo zord reviews and many more after that.
I have to agree with you about the chrome paint used on RV Robo. Just the other day I was converting mine from Robo to Vehicle mode and I noticed silver flakes coming from the underside Blue Vehicle's/Mountain Blaster's fender/bumper. I wonder if there's a clear solution I can spray or paint it with to keep it from chipping. Apart from the sword and sheild I actually would have preferred owning the Turbo Megazord but the seller on eBay was practically giving this one away.
I absolutely loved Turbo Power Rangers mighty morphin Power Rangers was really good and Turbo was just icing on the cake as a child. Just rewatched Turbo last night
The Turbo Megazord was the first Megazord I ever got and whilst I've lost the shield, my one is still in fairly good nick and I whilst my favourite Megazord is the Supertrain Megazord, I'd never give up my Turbo Megazord(as a kid I really wanted a Megazord but my parents thought the show wasn't right for me to watch, then one christmas my aunt brought the Turbo Megazord and the VHS of the Turbo Movie and I watched that religiously till my dad bought a VHS with three episodes from the orginal series home, two of those being the battle against Cyclopsis. In Space however was the series I became really familiar with. Weirdly around the same time, my friends in school were into something new as well, Pokemon, which they encouraged me to watch and abandon Power Rangers....so I did and I hated it, I remember the episode was about the Squirtle Squad(I grew to like Pokemon later due to the games) but when I came back to school I became really unpopular for calling Pokemon awful). Oh well story time over.
I appreciate how bad turbo was because of how good in space was and I enelded up retroactively liking the new cast of rangers way more than the originals
This always reminded me of vehicle Voltron. I liked the look of it and the transformation. But it’s not top 10 for me. I was looking at 3D printing files and found one that combines Dragon, Tiger, and Falcon Zords. It looks so cool. Have you read the Boom Studios comics? They actually did a Dragon and White Tiger mega Zord formation. It’s sick.
Liked the cords, but I hated the turbo season. After Tommy and the rest of the OG cast left, I had to muscle myself to watch the season. InSpace brought me back.
The chewy stuff is most likely a puppy getting a toy that had been left on the floor. A bunch of my old pr toys had that and it was never from actual people chewing
I can answer the chewed up swords. I got the super zero megazord and my brother was teething so he would get ahold of the sword and chew it up, I’m assuming I’m not the only victim of this
“Objectively terrible” *says opinion but when you add “objectively” to it it all of a sudden becomes fact* Obviously the original movie Megazord was bad, but the turbo Megazord suit and the high camera quality makes it look better, and the 2017 one is actually pretty cool in my opinion.
Still probably my favorite zord honestly. Just something about the look always gets me pumped. If they ever remake the mold or somehow we get a live action version in the hasbro reboot series of films id lose my mind. Was never able to get this as a kid, so if I find one its getting scooped and loved...and probably a repaint lol.
The manual and the airbags are all in car ranger. In car ranger the team are new to this whole ranger thing so the red ranger needs the manual and pink must’ve hit too hard
Very young kids (babies/toddlers) also like to chew things! I'm guessing a lot of the bite marks are due to a kid leaving their toys on the floor where their (teething) younger sibling can get to it. Dog bite damage would be much more severe than just some bite marks on the tip of a sword.

I enjoyed turbo megazord! I loved the car aspect to it. I ended up getting the turbo ram as well, and the red turbo ranger along with blue senturion.
There is a circular opening on the back of the pinks left arm to attached the shield.
They changed the cast so they don't demand more money, Tommy was a cash cow so they kept him in.
If they changed the head design i might appreciate the turbo megazord a little more, because the combination sequence looks fantastic.
Car Rangers = CR.
Zordon: "Rangers you need to travel to a distant island. Here are some cars."
Me: "....Wut?"
Power rangers turbo was an fresh restart from the previous 4 seasons
