Thank you for this video Tatiana. Do beginners need to have both the digitals and a portfolio? Also are digitals included in the portfolio or just for applying to agencies? 💖
Hello Maria and thank you for watching 💜 At first you only need digitals for modeling agency application, you don’t necessarily need to have a portfolio at that moment ( but if you’ll have some professional photos / portfolio, you can send them along with the digitals, so the agency could see that you have some experience. But again, it’s not a must ). And after that you will need the digitals for applying for jobs. Modeling agency shows them to the client per request or if you work freelance you can show them to potential clients by yourself too ( if they’ll ask ). Digitals usually aren’t being included to portfolio. It’s 2 different things :) But you will need them even after you’ve got signed with an agency and models need to constantly update their digitals.
@@TatianaKurnosova Thank you for your in depth response Tatiana 💖 This helps so much. I just have one more question for you, is it okay to enter modelling in your mid to later twenties? I'm currently 21 but would like to finish studying first?
You’re welcome. It’s better to start earlier, because modeling industry is highly competitive. But it’s been contstantly changing for the past few years, so there are more opportunities for models even in their 20s ( several years ago the models “retirement” age was around 21-23 years old ) and older since now is the time of diversity. Just do what feels right for you at the moment. If you’ll still be into modeling after graduating university, then why not? :)
Hi ,lm sithabile 💕 l really need your help 😢 so my camera is very bad can you what l can do too improve and take good pictures for my creative director
Hello, you can take digitals with your mobile phone. Honestly the lighting is the most important thing! You don't have to have the latest coolest camera or phone to take good pictures :) If you're still worries, you can also ask a friend to take pictures of you with their phone / camera. It's not that hard. Or hire a professional photographer. You've got this! Wishing you best of luck ❤️
Hello Susan, you definitely need to work on healing your acne scars ( use some creams etc ) but I would suggest you applying to the modeling agency anyways. Even if you will get rejected, you know what you can improve. And if the agency will see the potential in you, they may “keep you in mind” or even accept you on the condition that your skin will be improved etc. or maybe they will even give you some advices on it. So my answer is - definitely apply. If you’ll get rejected - don’t be sad and try again later. Meanwhile you can work on your portfolio and learn more about the industry. Wishing you best of luck! 💙
Hello Kiki, I wouldn't recommend you doing it for digitals / polaroids shoots - everything should be natural. You can have some photos with colored contact lenses later in your portfolio (so the clients would see how you look both with / without the lenses).
@@TatianaKurnosova thank u Tatiana! having brown eyes in a sea of models with icy blue and gray eyes is kinda ruining my confidence but ill try. by the way i was wondering if ill have to learn how to walk all by myself lol, will i get some training from the agency?

Most of the women have cellulite, even the ones who are really skinny. So, everything depends on how notisable it is. If it's like "the average" type of thing, then it's OK. But if it's possible to make it a bit smoother (for example with exercising etc), it would be nice too.
do you have to have a smiling photo, I never ever smile in real life or in photos because I’m very insecure about that. I feel like my moody face is unique
Hello Amelia, yes, agencies usually request a smiling photo too. And for many models it's the most awkward shot, they often feel uncomfortable. But it's necessary, so the agency could see your teeth, whether you have braces or not, how you look with the smile and etc.
Hello, modeling agencies don't have to be near you. You can sign up with an agency in another city or even another country. In this case you will just need to send your digitals to them via e-mail and if they're interested they'll ask for a video call to get to know you and then make a decision about the contract.

@@TatianaKurnosova thank you so much for letting me know!
👍
Thanks so much for support friend!
Are a few pimple marks okay??
Yes. But if it's possible to heal it, I'd suggest you to try it. It's better to take digital when you skin looks it's best :)
i have no modeling agencies near me💔
Hello, modeling agencies don't have to be near you. You can sign up with an agency in another city or even another country. In this case you will just need to send your digitals to them via e-mail and if they're interested they'll ask for a video call to get to know you and then make a decision about the contract.
Can u do how to lose weight ??
Hi, I have a video "How models lose weight fast. Weight loss mistakes to avoid", here it is ua-cam.com/video/I8MQbWLDOuk/v-deo.html
I recommend you to watch it first :)
There's also a very fun video about Russian food for weight loss (healthy foods that are often in models diet) ua-cam.com/video/iEB6q6W002E/v-deo.html and some more food - related videos. Please check them out.
I'm planning to film more about weight loss + food videos to help young models avoid eating disorders. So, please stay tuned.
Can i be a model even i have a flat nose?
It doesn't matter if you have a flat nose, or big nose, or too small nose and etc. The only thing that matters is how your face looks in general (the harmony of facial features) and your proportions. I've talked about the most popular facial features in modeling / types of model looks here ua-cam.com/video/4yDjfBjOP94/v-deo.html It's a very detailed video, so I recommend you to watch it.
And also there's a video How to become a model ua-cam.com/video/B_sPK2Ewy-U/v-deo.html it's a step by step guide for signing up with modeling agency and / or work freelance.
Hope it'll help and good luck! :)
