Another thing I've noticed about Blair's outfits is that a lot of them really shorten her visual line. She'll have a bunch of detailing and structural width and generally a lot going on around the shoulders, and a skirt with some volume to it that hits around the knee, and a lot of pieces layered in a very composed way using a lot of very intricately textured fabrics that don't really sit close to her body, and it's all so *precise* and so borderline fussy that she'll end up looking very small and very doll-like. It's really incredible work.
Blair was definitely my favorite. She exuded a old world class that you rarely see today. I love how feminine and detailed all her outfits were. Serena looked messy alot. But I know that was the point of her character. Just left me uninspired most episodes. I did love some of her gold outfits tho!

Blair doesn't fail to massacre every single piece of fabric she put on. Forever obsessed. I think it's worth noting that GG came out in 2007I'd still wear any of her outfits today. Such class.
@@starryxblue no, to massacre is always used in a negative way. It’s not the same as ‘they killed it’. To say they ‘massacred it’ would imply they did an atrocious job.
it’s so crazy how much their wardrobe’s reflected their characteristics and lives. I always thought that Blair’s outfits at times were too intricate and whenever it was toned down a bit she looked stunning. I loved Serena’s effortless looks if only she hadn’t had such messy hair 80% of the show😟
I watched GG when it came out and everyone was obsessed with Serena’ s hair. Nobody considered it messy, but slightly undone in a cool way. I am still obsessed
Same! Blair is beautiful but I hated the way they dressed her with the over the top colors and prints-too much all at once. She can pull off vivid colors and cute prints but putting them on her all at once makes it look like the clothes are wearing HER instead of her wearing the clothes
I think the cinematic aspect of Blair seeming constricted or stuffy (or, as we know, dressing for the wrong body type) was part of her character story. Love this analysis❤
Both characters had a great style. Serena is to take inspiration to dress for every day and cocktails gatherings. Blair is the one to be inspired on to dress when you have day time event like a bridal shower, or an elegant brunch
as a flamboyant gamine (i think) this was so interesting because I realized that I have often done the opposite of Blair in the past and tried to wear classic styles that just do not work and make me look boring and dry. The last few years I've realized how playfulness and contrast was needed in my outfits (gamine qualities) and now that I have found the Kibbe system (through you) I am excited to incorporate it even more in my wardrobe! love all your videos so much!
This was so weirdly accurate lol I’m always mentioning to people how Serena it’s the coolest girl around in the easiest way possible, it’s truly the effortless it girl vibe. I love Blair, but while Serena translates cool, relaxed and laid back, Blair always brings the anxiety, the overdoing/thinking and seems withdrawn. I’ve been like Blair my whole entire life, wanting to seem cool but always failing so badly and automatically turning into this overly organized, methodic and controlling person that Blair also is. So I guess this is where my obsession over Serena comes from, forever dreaming of being like her. That’s pretty noticeable at the end of the show, where Blair kinda steals the spotlight, and that only happens because she’s so mature and confident, she can be her own person instead of living the shadow of Serena. She’s not trying to give Serena’s vibe, she’s just being who she is, and that’s where she stole people’s hearts. For me, I’m still obsessed over Serena, but I can truly see what people love about Blair. And I love her too!!

gossip girl is such an iconic show. what made it rise above all the other teen soaps is the use of FASHION in this show. love every bit of it! honed me in my tweties 💛
I agree, Blair really shined when her looks suited her body type or complimented it, the soft pink look, the red gown she wore for the ball, but ALSO when she starts working at W magazine- her style completely changed- it really worked for her and said goodbye to the multicoloured tights thank god
This is so good! I'm both a gossip girl fan and a kibbe nerd but i never made that connection! It's amazing how perfectly kibbe theory echoes with the storyline
I loved Gossip Girl and how the costuming really supported the characters and their development. I gotta say you nailed this analysis. So spot on. Loved your commentary.
Could you compare Salma Hayek and Penélope Cruz? As a TR and a FG, they are very different, but almost the same style seems to work for both of them. 🤗
I think when Salma and Penelope have their “femme fatale” looks, there is still something in their underlying essence that stays true to their kibble types. Salma still looks curvy and feminine while Penelope is slightly “edgier”. In fact, there are rumours that director Pedro Almodovar requested Cruz to wear a butt pad for some of her roles which makes sense because Almodovar has casted Cruz for a wide range characters from innocent characters to sultry characters
@@EbonyPenmarks, I agree, I can tell the difference in their appereance and vybe. Still, I would love to see a comparison video. I think it would be interesting. :D
One thing about you is your explanation is very simple and clear and I can understand it so well. From a gossip girl fan (especially blair) and fashion lover I really enjoyed this video 😍👏🏾 Pls make more of this type of videos.
I am stumped how a natural blonde like Leighton could possibly end up as a dark autumn! I really appreciated all the body type analysis and cannot unsee this now!!! I saw myself in Blair I'm also a soft classic who tries way hard.
I always tried to dress like Blair in high school and adored Audrey as well. I'm a dramatic classic so sometimes it worked but when it was too colourful it was a bit much.
You mentioned that Leighton is a dark autumn, and I find that really interesting seeing as she is naturally blonde. I therefore wouldn’t have necessarily considered her to be a dark autumn. I’d have thought she would have been more of a soft autumn personally… In any event, she looked beautiful.
Good point. I dont know how she normally looks. Would have to google. But I as a dark autumn myself I started also to think that Im not sure if she is one. 🤔 But we still love Ellie!
She is not naturally blonde, people mistake her previous role to original hair. If you have seen her child picture/ school picture she has been always brunette
Serena’s character was messy that’s why her style was also messy while Blair’s character was more like she wanted to be perfect and tries harder to achieve her goals which we can see in her styles.
I only recently discovered your videos but am LOVING your thorough analysis and understanding of Kibbe. I think you're a wonderful and much-needed addition to Kibbe UA-cam and look forward to more videos! As for this specific video, I grew up on Gossip Girl and remember immediately thinking of Serena when I first heard of Kibbe Naturals.
You once said that regardless of whether you increase or decrease your weight your body type doesn’t change, can you explain this in more detail? Just because for example a drastic increase in weight logically changes the way you carry yourself, it changes the way you sit, stand, dress yourself etc. angles in your structure change and vice versa if you lost weight.
It will not change you from an apple to an hourglass. Or a rectangle to an hourglass or an apple to a pear. Of course if you lose weight to a certain extent you will look better and carry yourself better and clothes will hang better, but you cannot manufacture curves where curves do not naturally exist. You can fake it and camouflage it with clothing and accessories (I.e. Belts) to balance out your proportions and give the illusion... However if you are straight up and down without hips or a defined waist, that will fundamentally not change regardless of weight loss. If you face narrow shoulders and very wide hips, no amount of weight change will alter your shoulder width
What she means is about proportions. For example, I have larger hips and a smaller waist proportionally, so at whatever weight I am enhancing the waist will usually look better for me. I fluctuated more or less 10 kg, I gained weight but my proportions are more or less the same, even though I am now 2+ sizes up.Women who, for example, have larger shoulders keep the larger shoulder at any weight, so of course while the fat percentage changes, your overall bone structure doesn't.
seconding the commentor above me when i was reading up on Kibbe, a lot of type explanations actually included information about the way different types tend to carry fat and muscle, which i've found to be accurate e.g. personally as an SD, my type is a lot more obvious in photos where i was fat, and photos where i had a lot more of both fat and muscle, and more difficult to identify in photos where i was thin with less of both - but ultimately? i'm still tall/big either way, my 'thin' body still carries fat on my limbs in a way that shows before my bones do, my shoulders/width are larger than a shorter person but aren't significant enough relative to my height to give me an FN frame, my curves break pure Dramatic lines it was difficult to wrap my head around because dressing SD when my body is carrying a lot more fat is SO much easier, but waist emphasis is important at every weight for me even when my natural waist isn't as obvious; open necklines or higher dramatic necklines are flattering at every weight for me; small frilly details are out of proportion; 'comfy' and 'undone' doesn't look effortless on me, 'tidy' and 'polished' ironically looks more effortless; i'm able to wear statement jewellery without being overpowered, delicate jewellery is out of synch for me; statement styles in general are easy for me to carry off; shiny or luxurious looking fabrics are more harmonious for me and 'natural'/scruffy/relaxed fabrics are incongruent, etc. my outfits *are* different at different weights because matching my body's exact vibe at that point in time looks different, but specific items of clothing aren't specific Types, *it's a lot more abstract than that* there are periods of my life where i was fatter and fought dressing SD, but that was the result of fatphobia, i was told to hide my body and avoid so much of what actually looks harmonious for an SD, i was being taught to dress like an FN, but that's all conditioned changes, not inherent yes i was also physically moving differently because my body was a different shape, and my Dramatic and Soft energies were coming through in different forms and to different degrees, but the foundation was still SD &even when my weight temporarily dropped dangerously low due to medical reasons? i didn't magically become a Dramatic even with *very* visible bones and a gaunt face and dangerously low body fat, i looked sick because i was obviously very visibly sick so no outfit looked as harmonious, but all the foundational SD principles still applied in practice (i knew about this system at the time so actively experimented with the little energy i had lmao) mine's probably easier to prove because my height limits me to 3 types though
It's about how and where you carry your weight but even more so about bone structure, and they don't change with weight gain so that's how kibbe body type stays the same 😊
We all want to be Serena to look good in an effortless way but we always do the Blaire way, planning meticulously what to wear the next day. Their style got recognition because fans talked about it whereas in real life we are not sure how other's see us unless someone gives their compliments. That's why I always make sure to give compliments even to strangers. I never thought it was okays to just tell others they look or smell good until I watched many yt videos and read comments how some randoms compliments made their day. I started with my kids classmates and friends like "you're so pretty today you look good in those colors, or I love your hair" and I can see how it lit their eyes.
I feel like Serena and blare are untouchable in different ways. Serena is so effortlessly perfect that u know u can never recreate it and can never be her. You can be blare if u had enough money or enough motivation, but there’s nothing that can achieve Serena’s aura
It's crazy to me how Blair's last outfit you showed is so "simple" and yet such a beautiful outfit on her because it really suits her body shape !! and the color as well... it's just sooo elegant on her, I love it!
that pink dress in the intro is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, its literally the exact dress that i’ve been wanting for prom. 😭😭 does anyone know where it’s from??
Simply because it was during the days where being blonde, and skinny ( and preferably tall), was like a must to be considered gorgeous and Serena was all of that.
This is an awesome series! Do you take suggestions? The Bold type perhaps? They each seemed to exude the different styles so effortlessly regardless of what genre of style they were expressing. The way each woman chose her colors and paired patterns is what I found the most incredible about their styles.
This is fascinating. I would've thought Blair was gamine because of her eyes, it's almost like the show tricked us by dressing her like that. But WOW to see her in SC wardrobe.. that's when she looks effortless. Genius costume design. I would love a style analysis for Fran Fine! And the characters of Fraiser (I love Daphne's outfits from the first few seasons but less so as time goes on... same with Elaine from Seinfeld).
I came across your channel a few months ago and I'm obsessed with you. I think eveyrhting you discuss is so interesting and Ugh what I'd give for you to style me
Does Kibbe analyze men's body types too? I'm thinking about Boreanaz as Angel and Marsters as Spike on the show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Angel and Spike wore similar styles, favoring long leather jackets, but on Boreanaz it looked cool but not scary, which fit his "vampire with a soul" character, whereas on Marsters it looked edgy, which fit his character.
I've just remembered Sandra Oh's outfits in Killing Eve. She was looking, dare I say, elegant in her plain office clothes. But on anyone else these cardigans, loose fitting trousers and drab colours would look so horrible. Her voluminous curls and general appearance make the look work.
Always want to see anything SC related as a soft classic myself! This was a really fun exercise and really true to the reality of effective costuming in TV and film
In my middle 20’s I wanted to look like Serena so bad. I have a soft natural friend who looks sooo effortlessly GORGEOUS in the casual, slightly bohemian style of Serena. I mean, people turn on the streets to have another look. Myself, I look absolutely undone in the same style. Messy, long hair makes me look like I never put a brush through it in my life and I look like I’m drowning in the heavier fabrics and loose fits that looks so chic on them. 🥲
What is your body type? Bohemian style, relaxed fit and bulky textured knits (like fisherman sweaters) makes me look shapeless and washed out 🤯 I envy girls who can dress in big winter sweaters and look cute🤣
thinking back to that moment in...Bad News Blair? Season 1, when Blair does the photoshoot for Eleanor and the photographer calls her in to review the shots. They all agree that the clothes look great and Blair is beautiful but together they fail to achieve symbiosis. And interestingly, this was also the first time we got a Blair-As-Audrey dream sequence, with the opening sequence referencing the opening scene from Breakfast At Tiffany's. lol so cool.
I really like your videos! Here's little a tip: I think they would be waaaay better without backround music. The music just overwhelmes your voice and makes it quite frustrating to listen to you, which is really sad because you have so many interesting things to say!
Blair’s white eyelet dress from season 1 will always be my favorite outfit of hers. I love how classic and feminine Blair dresses, but of course we all want the attention Serena gets.
such a great video!! you did a great job explaining how our body types factor in to our essences and the way we move through the world. also showing how gamine shapes create an effect on blair!
Tbh I've never seen pictures of Blake Lively in an unflattering outfit🤔both in films and real life she looks very effortlessly cool. Seems like ANY type of clothes is great on her, can't imagine what could be the wrong choice for her🤣I wish it was the same situation for me.
Probably gamine and romantic type of outfits would look strange on her. But now that I think about it she would still look cool and edgy in some way even if it doesn’t make her look super flattering lol
@@vl2663 😁 if I imagine her in a 60-s style tweed dress with contrasting white collar she still would look very cool. Not frumpy or unflattering at all. Maybe it's just the personality outshining any possible flaws of the styling 🤔 😆
@@cb9825 yeah I agree with that. I think of Rihanna and Lady Gaga too and know that they can pull off almost anything even if it doesn’t look stereotypically good on them. I think that’s what it is too. It’s the fact that they do looks for the sake of fashion. Fashion isn’t always about looking pretty or sexy, it’s about executing a good look. But some celebrities’ whole brand is to look sexy so to see them in styles that don’t match their body type can be unflattering.
awesome video! can you do one for Elena Gilbert/Nina Dobrev too? Elena core was really popular but all she wore were basic jeans and tops. I'm guessing it had something to do with Nina's body type that made the outfits work
I always loved Blair more as a character, Serena just seemed really unlikeable to me. But style wise, I remember taking inspiration from both when the show first came out. I loved Blair's silhouettes but Serena's gold and sequinned fabrics. And it kind of worked on me. I think I'm either a gamine with some classic / natural essence or a classic with a unusually irregular bone structure lol
@@tabathavillafane740 😳interesting haha Blair was insufferable to me (well I thought that was the point of her character) and enjoyed making ppls lives hell, she ‘changed’ for her prince but really that was the most Blair thing ever and just more manipulation lol
@@t1m513 Personally I liked how Blair was a bitch but never failed to own up to it. She told people that she could and would ruin their lives, it wasn't something she hid from others. She needed to work really hard to build up and maintain her reputation/influence , because people were always out to bring her down. The problem I found with Serena was that the writers tried too hard to make her likable. She was handed things too easily in my opinion, there was never really a situation where she truly struggled and grew as a result. Plus after the first few seasons the plot just became repetitive; usually with Serena in some sort of trouble as a result of her past or her current fling, where in the end either Blair/Nate/Chuck (or all 3) would have to help her rectify the situation.
@@t1m513 I believe she's more likable than Serena because Serena never admits her privilege. It's really exhausting watching some priviliged nepo baby acts like "she's one of us". And most common thing she says for every problem she and her lifestyle caused is "Not my fault." like yeah babe it's your fault.
Please please PLEASE do one of Cassie and Maddy from Euphoria!! It would be so interesting and applicable to helping us navigate the more current GenZ trends! 🙏
OMG this makes so much sense. I always feel like even if I wear the same things as other people I look different ... when they look effortless, I look sloppy, when they look elegant, I look like I'm trying too hard. I need to find out what my body type is cause it sure looks like it could help A LOT. May the youtube algorithms be blessed for showing me this video!
Blair is well groomed and put together ready for her growth from teenager to woman and is feminine and chic. She looks good is all colours and her silhouette works with most designers clothes and she knows what to wear for each occasion.
Leighton Meester is naturally blonde, I can't imagine her fitting as well as Blair as a blonde, good thing she changed her hair to get the part. And she looks so much better as a brunette.
You should do a video on clothing brands for each body type! Or for the different style roots! Sometimes I just don't know where to look for clothes I like, but you always use such great example photos!
I'm sure one or none would be interested, but if you could do this kind of analysis on the wonderful ladies from Parks and Rec, that would be awesome sauce!
Me as a black person hearing about these systems for the first time & realising I’m not included in them after googling “true spring” and seeing the scale goes from white to white
The way people try to classify via these primary marker doesn't work anyways, it feeds a lot of misconceptions about color analysis, majority of videos are terrible copy pasted info. It's really about our undertones mostly, rather than primary markers of skin, hair etc. In order to figure it out you really have to test colors against each other, warm - cool, saturated - soft, light - deep.... To really know you have to go through the process, and you can start comparing things yourself at home too. Watch a few videos of people doing analysis on actual people (color analysis studio is a great channel were they make it easy to understand, they had a black person on before too).
Leighton is a total TR to me. She looks petite rather than moderate to smallish. Her frame is a little too narrow for a SC imo. I also see a yang undertone in her bone structure around her shoulders which a SC doesn't have. If you compare her body to her Monte Carlo co-star Selena Gomez (who is TR verified) you will see that they literally have almost exactly the same body. She also looks her best in TR lines on the red carpet imo
I've read that Blake Lively is actually more of a natural brunette and Leighton Meester is a natural blonde. Does that influence their color seasons at all? For instance Leighton's "chocolate brown" that is part of her Dark Autumn palette comes from a stylist, so how much does that influence the overall color assessment?
really? In Blake's baby pictures, she was light blonde, even though getting older, the hair will turn darker. Also i was confused who said Leighton was blonde? since she has always been brunette, even in her childhood pictures.
Blake isn't a natural brunette and Leighton isn't a natural blonde i think you got this wrong it is true though that Leighton came on the GG audition set as a blonde and tried for the Serena part initially but that wasn't her natural hair color
I have a body type much more like Blair and all my life I loved everything that marks my waist line and I pretty much only wear dark colors with very little details on it. I always felt terrible in anything that doesn't show my silhouette. Nice to know why.
difference between serena and blair. serena will only give you a taste of your own medicine. blair strikes first, always. blair was so offended that college didn’t care who she was for one day that she goes and tries to make everyone fear her. serena just has to show up and boom she’s queen
Blair was so feminine and beautiful. Like a classic beauty. Serena was more of what was considered “hot”. Blair is more of what is considered “beautiful”.
Good that you poited out that Blair doesn't look effortless. I stared thinking about that throughout your video. Why is Blair not that natural in her style, even tho it's chic and stylish af. And as you talk about Gibbe body types, I started to think it's because you said she is soft classic AND they clothed her more like gamine. And that's what you ended up bringing up too. So interesting!! Ofc there has to be reasons behind it. Blair is a character that wants to be more than anyone else. She has to have the trends first (even if they don't suit her), over the top so she doesn't leave unrecognized. She wants attention. I think that is one reason why they styles her that way. Then sometimes there are those more classical combos that are more suitable for her, and even if slightly over the top, they still complement her.
This was really interesting. I’m a soft gamine and growing up, esp as a teen, I always wanted to look effortless and like I’d just thrown something on and to pull off those loose shapes, and it just never worked. Would be v interested in seeing a comparison like this of Summer and Marissa on The OC, who I think present quite similarly to Blair/Serena. Also, just a little note wrt the beginning of the video - we’re unfortunately still very much mid-pandemic, not post (as much as the media would like to portray differently).
I've loved Blair style since forever... I loved the colors, the detail , the trying everything about it. Although Serena looked effortless and beautiful.. it was always Blair for me in GG

She’s not trying to give Serena’s vibe, she’s just being who she is, and that’s where she stole people’s hearts.
For me, I’m still obsessed over Serena, but I can truly see what people love about Blair. And I love her too!!
I’m genuinely curious lmao do you guys acc see blair as a good person cause wtf
Blair doesn’t mature she’s still a snobby bully by the end of the show she couldn’t steal the spotlight from Serena even if she tried 🤣🤣🤣
blair is NOT mature by the end of the show... she's becomes more and more childish and needy

Im a flamboyant natural and it wasn’t until watching this that I realized that I typically receive the most compliments when I dress in more loose fitting long flowy type styles
gossip girl is such an iconic show. what made it rise above all the other teen soaps is the use of FASHION in this show. love every bit of it! honed me in my tweties 💛
I agree, Blair really shined when her looks suited her body type or complimented it, the soft pink look, the red gown she wore for the ball, but ALSO when she starts working at W magazine- her style completely changed- it really worked for her and said goodbye to the multicoloured tights thank god
For me Blair at W Magazine was her worst era lol I had the impression the writers got lost on her character at that point
@@asas_31 but you are talking about the writing, not the style. The style is the main point here.
This is so good! I'm both a gossip girl fan and a kibbe nerd but i never made that connection! It's amazing how perfectly kibbe theory echoes with the storyline
same here! This was awesome!
The white dress on Blair at 10:24 really confirmed it for me, simple elegance suits her so well!
I would love if you did a style breakdown on Ariana Grande or Emma Watson!!

Not to me...she SLAYED next to serena, serena was just tall
I am stumped how a natural blonde like Leighton could possibly end up as a dark autumn!
I really appreciated all the body type analysis and cannot unsee this now!!! I saw myself in Blair I'm also a soft classic who tries way hard.
I always tried to dress like Blair in high school and adored Audrey as well. I'm a dramatic classic so sometimes it worked but when it was too colourful it was a bit much.
Am I the only one who prefered Blair’s looks all along ?
No, you aren't. 🖐️😉😊😊😊
There's even the episode where Serena pretended to be Blair and wore her clothes. She looked comical!!
But we still love Ellie!
I think she’s a bright spring.
Love your content! Still waiting on the one by one break down of the style roots. We need more content on these.
I fluctuated more or less 10 kg, I gained weight but my proportions are more or less the same, even though I am now 2+ sizes up.Women who, for example, have larger shoulders keep the larger shoulder at any weight, so of course while the fat percentage changes, your overall bone structure doesn't.
seconding the commentor above me
when i was reading up on Kibbe, a lot of type explanations actually included information about the way different types tend to carry fat and muscle, which i've found to be accurate
e.g. personally as an SD, my type is a lot more obvious in photos where i was fat, and photos where i had a lot more of both fat and muscle, and more difficult to identify in photos where i was thin with less of both - but ultimately? i'm still tall/big either way, my 'thin' body still carries fat on my limbs in a way that shows before my bones do, my shoulders/width are larger than a shorter person but aren't significant enough relative to my height to give me an FN frame, my curves break pure Dramatic lines
it was difficult to wrap my head around because dressing SD when my body is carrying a lot more fat is SO much easier, but waist emphasis is important at every weight for me even when my natural waist isn't as obvious; open necklines or higher dramatic necklines are flattering at every weight for me; small frilly details are out of proportion; 'comfy' and 'undone' doesn't look effortless on me, 'tidy' and 'polished' ironically looks more effortless; i'm able to wear statement jewellery without being overpowered, delicate jewellery is out of synch for me; statement styles in general are easy for me to carry off; shiny or luxurious looking fabrics are more harmonious for me and 'natural'/scruffy/relaxed fabrics are incongruent, etc.
my outfits *are* different at different weights because matching my body's exact vibe at that point in time looks different, but specific items of clothing aren't specific Types, *it's a lot more abstract than that*
there are periods of my life where i was fatter and fought dressing SD, but that was the result of fatphobia, i was told to hide my body and avoid so much of what actually looks harmonious for an SD, i was being taught to dress like an FN, but that's all conditioned changes, not inherent
yes i was also physically moving differently because my body was a different shape, and my Dramatic and Soft energies were coming through in different forms and to different degrees, but the foundation was still SD
&even when my weight temporarily dropped dangerously low due to medical reasons? i didn't magically become a Dramatic even with *very* visible bones and a gaunt face and dangerously low body fat, i looked sick because i was obviously very visibly sick so no outfit looked as harmonious, but all the foundational SD principles still applied in practice (i knew about this system at the time so actively experimented with the little energy i had lmao)
mine's probably easier to prove because my height limits me to 3 types though
@@deilen961 as a fellow soft dramatic this was so interesting and helpful to read. Thank you for your thorough comment!
How cool, the people who do casting have a knowing of who will fit perfectly and then it checks out stylistically
Natural beauty gives me girl next door vibes, while classic gives me untouchable regal vibes
Such an iconic duo. Thank you for a great analysis!
i dont think blair is trying it seems like it´s her own style because she really likes fashion i a very different way
Excellent take on Blair at the end. Never thought of her style as 'trying' to fit, not quite hitting the mark, truest beauty stripped back. Love it!
You should do a Pretty Little Liars Kibbe analysis on the main 4 girls, that would be brilliant 😍😍
that pink dress in the intro is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, its literally the exact dress that i’ve been wanting for prom.
Im usually not into makeup but I love your eye makeup in this video its soo pretty
I actually think Blair is a winter, she just pull off the black outfit so well!
I came across your channel a few months ago and I'm obsessed with you. I think eveyrhting you discuss is so interesting and Ugh what I'd give for you to style me
I literally thought about this for like an hour last week! So glad and mindblown to see a video about it by you🤩
Does Kibbe analyze men's body types too?
@@cb9825 So do I! I’m not sure about my type. It might be SG.
thinking back to that moment in...Bad News Blair?
I'm guessing it had something to do with Nina's body type that made the outfits work
Omg I was totally about to comment this! Especially an analysis of elena’s style vs katherine’s.

Blair was likeable??😂
@@t1m513 Blair’s the best. Serena became annoying in season 3 and stayed that way.

OMG this makes so much sense.
This is awesome. But how do you see Blair als moderate?! I always viewed her as SUPER skinny. Her waist is so tiny!

I loveeeee Blair and her styling
Blair looks so better when wearing simple patterns.
It’d be good to see one on Blake as she is now as her body type is completely different!
I loved your analysis Ellie-Jean! we're learning so much with your videos. many thanks for sharing with us all🪷
It would be so fun for you to analyze the girls of Selling Sunset! I often wonder which they are and if they are dressing well for their type!
I don't share your opinion at all...blair's style looked so natural on her and so unique to her
I've read that Blake Lively is actually more of a natural brunette and Leighton Meester is a natural blonde.
Blake isn't a natural brunette and Leighton isn't a natural blonde i think you got this wrong
it is true though that Leighton came on the GG audition set as a blonde and tried for the Serena part initially but that wasn't her natural hair color
@@adelhelma6015 If you Google their natural hair colors, the results claim Blake's is hazel and Leighton's is blonde. 🤷

She is an effortless queen.

Blake is stunning. What a beautiful person.
I really enjoyed this video. Really shows how things can work without the costume designers necessarily knowing about a body typing system
I love your videos, just wanted to say Leighton is a natural blonde, does that still make her deep autumn?
I was thinking the exact same thing!
difference between serena and blair. serena will only give you a taste of your own medicine. blair strikes first, always. blair was so offended that college didn’t care who she was for one day that she goes and tries to make everyone fear her. serena just has to show up and boom she’s queen
Blair was so feminine and beautiful. Like a classic beauty. Serena was more of what was considered “hot”. Blair is more of what is considered “beautiful”.
that doesn’t make any sense
I absolutely love Gossip Girl and Serena and Blair's fashion.
The outfits are still relevant in 2023 and will be for years to come
EllieJean, would you be able to talk about the clothing Britney Spears wore in concerts, award shows, appearances and in her music videos?
The aligned lover did one on Britney if you search on youtube. She typed her as a SN
Please do an analysis for Pretty Little Liars! I think it would be super interesting
love your analysis, you are absolutely right, I didn’t see it before
This was really interesting.
