Absolutely love this Obelisk video. I've been wanting them for the longest, but just couldn't afford the price point (gotta have more than just one). Now ~ I can!! I'm so excited to try this. :) Thank you so much, Laura

Me too 007Lehua! Just as a reference Laura, what size are your hoops and what size planter? Do you have a rough estimate of what this project costs making two?

I’ve just bought 3 small hoola hoops and wrapped them with black electricians tape around them. I was inspired by your metal sphere you did for a Christmas project.
So I’m ready and I’ve even painted some twigs red from a tree we had cut down some months back, so I’m sort of ready for my Christmas display.
Thank you for your inspiration xxx

Laura your just too cute for words. I am pretty creative or so my friends tell me but I never saw this coming. Excellent. What’s going to be funny is all the places that sell these hoops are going to be like what’s going on? Inventory could be a problem. LOL

Love. I think I need to steal this idea. It would be pretty to lightly dry brush a muted gold paint on the edges of the quilt hoops.

You know, I was just thinking today “I wonder if Laura/Aaron would ever be willing to make videos about cheaper alternative to things that still look VERY expensive. Or thrifting and repurposing things in odd ways” and BAM! Here we are with a crazy cool idea I would’ve literally never thought of for something I won’t be able to afford for probably years. Laura, I adore you even more now!
