I'm glad they didn't get it. Scummy of them to fuck up GoT because they had their eyes set on something bigger and wanted it done with. They got what they deserved.

After the way they shotgunned the GOT finale and the fans went on the offensive, Disney read the trades (and the GOT fan reaction) and said, "Ummmmmmmmm .... I think we should go with someone else."
Mangold is a critics darling, so I'm sure he'll do fine.

Don't think they actually realised how big GoT was. Like that could have carried on with multiple stories with dofferent characters. Even big blockbuster movies could have came next. They really fuzzed it up. Now we just remember a great show that ended badly and a good prequel which doesn't have what the original had.
