Thanks bro, Got my isometric room ready. Came to blender to learn to make game assets. It's still hard even with Unity game engine experience. Can't imagine what the people without any 3D software must go trough
Am I the only one who loves this room without the extra lights when rendering with cycles? There's something really cool with how shadows works and looks. Awesome tutorial! Thanks!
The only thing I'm struggeling with now is how he snapped the back of the window to the wall so that it was seemless. It's a beautiful room we're creating and I learned alot from this, thank you so much for these tutorials!!
Thanks! It takes me a lot of time to make these, so to hear that you like them means a lot. I do plan on making more modeling tutorials; I've just been really busy lately so I haven't had as much time to work on them as I'd like.
Glad you enjoyed it! Who knows, maybe this video is the start of a long series of events that leads to your super successful 3D modeling career 20 years from now. 😅
This is one of the best Blender tutorials that I've gone through - thank you so much! One question I have for you is that when I render out my images, the window doesn't actually render any light, it just appears as an empty box. Emission shader is set appropriately on the window panes with the rest of the window having the window material.
@@cfh-9328 Nice! I think I remember as well that I turned off the rendering for the boolean window instead of deleting it - that way it keeps the mask, but doesn't show in the final render.
If anyone is stuck at 22:52 make sure that you do not have Proportional Editing turned on like I did. Also, if you can't figure out how to increase the number of bevel segments, scroll your mouse wheel (or trackpad in my case) up.
11:50 another way to do this is you select all bottom vertex then press H to hide them, these vertex you hide won't be affected when you moving top vertex, after all press alt+H to unhide everything (sr my English is not good :D)
I have this issue, after rendering the project it doesn't look the same. Everything is kind of dissolved i guess, and something bad is happening with a floor. When I delete denosing it's really noisy so that's also bad. Also I don't seem to see integrator settings and render, viewport. I don't know if that's what might caussing the issue. I looked it up and the advise was to change Cycles Render Devices to CUDA and I did. And I checked if my graphics card is supported (it is). But integrator is still missing. I looked in other tabs too, it's not there. Anyways, I really enjoyed following this tutorial and it was my first time in blender ever, so thank you for creating it!
Amazing tutorial, thank you so much! You know, making a few more of these would help out a ton of beginners! And I'm sure they would gladly subscribe to show the support.
I followed this tutorial and i had to slow it down, and i got to the end tables before simply not having the spoons to keep going lol i've made some mistakes but i've also learned key binds and how to do some things! i'm currently working on the render and for some reason my floor texture is also my siding and my walls. Not sure how to fix that,(edit, oh i just clicked on the baseboard and changed the color) but i'm sure i'll figure it out after doing another project. this was a really fun first step into blender :)
BTW, I stumbled a lot when applying the bevel modifier, they don't always work well. After searching for solutions, I realise that this could be resolved by simply applying the scale for the objects (ctrl+A). I don't know why you won't have the same problem but I think it's worth sharing.
This is great so far! I'm just having issues at 3:45 as I have done the tutorial exactly so far but when I change the count to 4 the floor goes outside the wall on the y-axis and I'm not sure how to fix this!!!
I had the same problem but another comment pointed out the solution: While he says to have 7 segments at 2:45 he means 7 cuts to make 8 segments, so if you do one more cut it should hopefully solve your problem :) Hope this helps!
Hi, I wanted to ask, in the Render properties section, you could change the render under 'Sampling', however I don't seem to have that option? I think it's because of a recent update? I have only just started so idk where anything is lol
Give it a shot! Blender's free so it won't cost you anything but time. The fundamentals of 3D modeling are the same regardless of the software so I don't think it'll take you that long to get up and running.
When I add the bevel modifier, nothing happens unless I change the width type to absolute. But that makes some of the shorter edges non-uniform. I followed everything exactly up to this point and I haven't changed any settings prior to this video. How do I fix this?
Wonderful tutorial! Out of curiosity, why do we split and separate the floor tiles at the beginning? I was wondering how those two differ and why we need both.
hi,for separate the floor just select the face and press SHIFT +D for duplicated and press P for separate the floor and create other object check my channel i am make 3d cartoon room with blender
Thanks for pointing this out! I think you're right in that separating then rejoining the tiles together is an unnecessary step. It's been a while since I made this tutorial, but I think I was experimenting with different techniques for the floor and mixed two of them up together, introducing an unnecessary step in the process. Great catch!

Hi, well thanks for the video, I did everthing you said. when it is in render mood, window light looks perfect but when İ try to have the render image in the end, window light disappeared. Do you know what should i do :)
Is it just the window light disappearing or do all the lights change? One thing that comes to mind is that in the video, I'm working in Eevee for speed, but I'm rendering in Cycles which causes the window light to look different, so you'll need to change the emission value.
Hi, been trying about 30 times now to do the blanket. I have started over and over. When you extrude along the normals you have a smooth no extra faces that i can see in the video. I have more. when I bevel even with out the normals done it only goes up the top and not down the sides. After the bed part things started to get complicated for me hahahaha! I'm a real begginer in Blender. I am following along and I don't know why I can't put the Bevel modifier on the window, even doing again without coping the modifier and it is still have sharp edges >.
It's tough to say without seeing your actual project since there's a number things that could cause that issue, but the first thing I would check is that you're adding the modifier to the window object and not the boolean object you used to cut the hole in the wall. If the modifier is being added correctly, I'd check that the visibility of the modifier wasn't accidentally disabled. There's a little icon that looks like a monitor on the modifier (it's in between the square and the camera icon) that toggles the modifier visibility in the viewport.
I had the same problem. To fix it I selected everything and then used the merge function (keyboard M) and the Bevel modifier worked. Sorry if it's too late, but I hope it helps someone.

Thank you for the great tutorial! Just one question - When rendering my window turns into a black and white box. Is there a way to fix this?
This happens to me too! Did you figure it out?
Well, you see the box you used with the boolean modifier? Click on the camera icon near it to hide it from the final render.
Can you tell me which GPU card you use to be able to create videos like that, thank you!
