BOY'S you have literally saved me THOUSANDS watching this video got quoted £2,500 for the same type of media wall as in the video the money saved will pay for new TV and electric fireplace can't thank you enough 👍👍👍
Absolutely fantastic work and you are all exceptional teachers. I am about to start measuring out for a media wall in my home and your video has made me feel so much more confident. Thanks for the time and effort you are putting in to all of your videos for us mere mortals!
Maybe mention about routing the cabling before fitting the inner shelves 👍🏻
Brilliant video would of liked to have seen how you done the led lights behind tv and on shelf
yay finally a tutorial where i dont need to plaster the unit lol planning on building full wall with an electric fire too (wall hanging one) so this has helped a lot 😀
*edited to say I changed to a 3 sided fire, but fml, hammer drill, wood screws etc and they will not go through the cls timber (done pilot hole in main bit of wood) not even got passed making the base yet...im dreading it coming to fixing to the wall as its solid concrete wall and ceiling...any advice pleaseeeeeee? 😁😁
So, how was the socket fitted afterwards?
Absolute quality this. You also sound like Terry Tibbs....." So you wanna build a media wall.....talk to me". 😂
🤣🤣
Superb works guys. Nice and easy, straight forward guidance. 👍🏻
I’m ok on diy but I must say you really help the ones who need the basics well done
Thank you 😊
Brilliant video gents, keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
Belter video this lads 💪🏼 mother wants one, il do it to save her a few quid. Nice one!
What a great video and that media wall looks fantastic. 😊😊 brilliant job
Thanks so much! 😊
Excellent industrial techniques training.covering all basics with great ellaborative.methods of instruction !
Well impressed Visio
Going to recommend this to my own friends ,
But a great reminder to me from my old days on sites.!
Cracking !
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you 👍🏻
Well done guys, turned out AMAZING! 🙌🙌
😊👏🏼
Great stuff thanks.
Thanks 😊
Great video lads, but what about the wiring ??
Polish lad punching them
Numbers in 🤣✌️❤️👍👍
Yes boys 👏🏻👏🏻
💪🏼
Great video guys . How did you fill between ceiling and new plasterboard ? Did you just Caulk or did you use tape and filler ? 😊
23:50 top tip - you already have a drill, you can use that as a router and wizz a hole in the plasterboard in seconds.
Amazing. Any chance of a plan showing the dimensions etc ?
Great video just wish you could have shown putting up tv bracket and lighting for that particular job as all jobs are different. You guys do great content
Thanks 😊 we covered in a separate video in more depth
Do you guys cover Manchester?
Hello what paint did you use please to paint onto plaster board did you need to use a primer first
Bit off topic. Can you do a video of your tool collection. Thanks
I dont even need a media wall, but some very good tips indeed. Felt like I was helping you on my first day on the tools 😂
🤣👌🏼👌🏼
I have a plasterboard wall, what fixings would you recommend to fix the 2 main uprights to wall ?
You sound like Terry Tibbs 😂. Great job 🍻
Thanks! 😃
Exactly same concept for stud walls? Or would you need to brace it into a stud within the stud wall?
Amazing. Really appreciate the idiots guide to approach.
Have a thumbs up, gents.
Thank you very much.
Thanks mate 😊🙏🏼
I bet da guy dat painted it could do a great Harry Kane impression 😅😂
May I ask why you didn't use metal studs for this build? Regards
could you list what you bought material wise .couldnt hear when you were asking
Please direct me to the wiring video for the media wall. Thank you.
Amazing work boys! I was just wondering is it incorrect to plaster the media wall before painting or is that just a more expensive and longer process ?
Plaster is better but much more in cost 😊
@@homeimprovements thought as much ! Also how do you calculate how much wood is needed for the job?
This video has given me the bug now! Fantastic build! Now to run it past the wife 😅
😊👏🏼
Yay metric, bloody Americans lol. Great videos lads.
Celling plaster boad?
What would you do differently if your walls are thermalite block rather than proper walls? 😊thermalite crumbles when you breath on it let alone screw into it 😂
I noticed you didn’t check for wires or beams?
You didn't use English plaster??? How is it possible 😂😂😂
Great job looks top quality work. But it's not £200 to do that whole job. You can't leave labour price out, even if its DIY doing the job, it's still your time doing the job.
How much do you charge yourself for work in your own home?😂
This makes non sense hahaha
Who can build me 1 for a 1ner I'll get the materials 😊
Lol, mentions to avoid drilling into cables and then drills directly into a safe zone where you should never put a fixing. Couldn't make it up.
Pay attention mate you’ll see the socket disappear do as I say not as I do we moved the sockets
@@homeimprovements I saw the cabling was complete skipped over but that doesn't help the casual viewer that, as the comments below show, copy exactly what you do. You drilled into the wall directly in a safe zone while the socket was in plain view. You can't dress that up any other way.
What is a safe zone?
@@lucidcreationscouk it's the area on walls that are designated as a safe place to run cables or the places to expect cables so you cannot drill there. It's in the building regs and it's generally, 150mm all the way around the outside of a wall and up, down, left and right of any electrical outlet or switch etc.
