As everyone else is saying, I've watched quite a few videos and this is by far the best one I've seen, insane level of detail and materials and tips no one else is mentioning - really giving me the confidence to go on and build my own garden room!
YES! This!! You absolute heroes are smashing it! There not many UK channels on builds such as this and you’re the best of them by far. Planning to build my own garage garden room this summer starting with removing the old concrete base and I’ll be watching your brilliant content on repeat in the lead up….legends!
Best content I’ve seen on how to build a garden room. Nice to see guys who know their stuff and deliver quality in every department. Excellent advice and practical information on how to do the job well.
Agree with everyone else below, it's great how you give hints, tips and explanations as you go along! Keeps it educational but entertaining at the same time. Great to see quality work being done also.
Learned loads and enjoyed the process - it's like being an apprentice without being sent for 'Tartan Paint', 'Glass Hammers', or 'left-handed Hammers".
I’ve watched so many garden room build videos recently and this is the best one I’ve watched so far. Really helpful for when I start stage 2 of my self build garden room!👍

Excellent video. Just a simple thing, you should double up the top plate on your stud walls. By having a single plat the roof load through the rafter pushes through wherever the rafter sits. With a double top plate that load is spread throughout the whole wall - that's important for your window wall. You have rafters on studs here which helps. Is the building small enough to be that close to the boundary and not have to be built of non-combustible materials?
This is definitely the best video ive seen on building a garden room. Love all the advice and tips. One thing ive always wondered tho is when it comes to membranes and damp proof, surely once you put bolts through it or nail through it defeats the purpose of stopping moisture get through?
Brilliant video, top class build with no corners cut. So relevant these guys and so relatable. Got me rethinking on my own project next year whether I use 100mm isolclad insulated panel or timber frame…. Either way you guys make it look easy.
Quality build lads. Simplistic way of explaining the project that allows what ever level be it even the least experienced to easily follow , from start to fin you lads fully explained each stage ,I personally get so much from watching videos like this, be it not only a personal interest but also the best quality advice done by quality professionals with vast amount of knowledge over many a year that's evident in the way this video is done . not only educational but also inspirational ,one of if not the very best Ive personally watched , BZ lads liked subscribe and will share with all fam and friends who, like myself love finding the best well done perfect ,lookforward to seeing and learning more.
Really liked this as I'm building a 24x12 ft shed, do you have any videos showing the gutter edge for the rubber roof in more detail. Keep up the excellent work
Love the content, really easy to follow along. Great explanations for a lot of the 'why' you would do something a certain way too! Love the technique to get the roof falloff, I've been planning a shed build and cutting the birds mouths all bang on has been putting me off.
Great video, thanks! If I'm going straight onto a slab, how do you ensure no moisture tracks under the sole plate and into the room, I know the moisture isn't getting up into the timber but how about across the slab under the dpc? Cheers!
From watching you videos, I successfully fitted carpets throughout my house, now im looking at a garden office and this video is just what I needed! Just one question; Why did you not use PIR in the walls? Cost or difficulty of fitment due to the T&E cables?
Awsome vid mate, don’t know if it’s been said in the comments but drilling steel to 10mm use a 4 or 6mm drill bit first, it will make the 10mm bit last much much longer, and get some decent mineral cutting oil on the job
What's the finished interior ceiling height on that? I thought max height is 2.5m when that close to the boundary but it looks taller. Might just be the angle on the video
terrific video guys. I often watch your content as its quality work and easy to follow as an amateur DIYer. Do you have material list that would be handy please? Thank you
im going to build one with pallets any recommendations on anything positive or negative feedback wanted also could i get a list of materials i would need like the name of recommended installation and the floor, ceiling and wall wrap Windows and doors any advice would be well appreciated
Amazing video! Thank you so much. What size was this garden room and how much was the total cost of materials. I know prices fluctuate, but just to give me a rough idea of spend please?
Great to know how these building are built the right way, brilliant job I love it. Can you show how to install insulation in a old Victorian terrace loft as I need to get rid old insulation and put in new insulation with wooden flooring as I don't like the loft chipboard as I did it on one part of the loft and is awful. Thanks 👍
Getting an off cut timber at 1000mm under your nogs when fitting to get the hight across them all.. saves a chalk line 👍🏽 only tip I have the rest I’m learning from yourselves 🤣
Hey guys! Amazing video. Given me the confidence to build my own smaller version.. can I ask about putting down a floor and flooring insulation? Not something I seen in the video. Does an internal frame need to go down?
Such a great video, thanks for sharing. I’m working on building a garden room with no prior experience, so I really appreciate your advice. One question I have after researching about cold roofs, why didn’t you fix a vapour barrier to the ceiling below your insulation? It’s not a criticism, I’m just trying to learn. Cheers!
Great video ,only thing I would have done differently is put the plaster board on the ceiling adjacent to the ceiling joists and not in line with them as over time they will sag
Love your videos always clear and thorough, one thing on this video though, when fitting the window frame perhaps mention to check everything is square and at 400 centres? Might seem obvious but some may not think to do it. Keep up the good work though and some of the tips you give are simple but very effective.
Absolutely belter of a video. Everything explained in depth 👊🏻great to watch as an apprentice like myself. Would love to know how much it was to build this
Fantastic build. I am moving to a small house with a big garden, looking at 30m2 to build a workshop, can do 4x7.5 or 5x6 but struggling with the roof timber heights. What would you do with such a big build? The shape is not too important. Cheers
Amazing in depth content yet again. I want to do something similar, whereabouts did you get the cladding? I am finding it hard to get prices on the cladding. Cheapest I have had is £48.95 per length is that about right ?
Thank goodness some southern accents doing this lol Q. Im confused to those edge trims. Your furrings obviously mean your OSB will slope, meaning the edge of the OSB now has an angle on it. So when you instal the edge trim and nail into the facia doesnt the edge trim not sit flush to the rubber? How will this stop water running under the trim? Also you missed the part where you put a batten up for your sofit J trims? Good video 👍🏼
Absolutely bloody superb! 👍🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I’d have liked to have seen you put the windows and doors in though. Especially those bifolds. Great job as always though. 👍🏾
This video is great! I'm looking to to do a DIY number on something like this? Excluding the footing (as I'll need to do something different) what kind of cost am I looking at? Some of the online costs for this type of thing seem like total madness so curious if I'm just out of touch!. At a guess that looks about 3m x 4.5m which is probably similar to what I'll be doing. Thanks in advance!
When marking studs on the bottom and top plates, put them together, so there is no way of making the markings off or putting studs on the wrong side of the line :)

Once it’s filled with resin I can’t see it ever being an issue 😊

Nice one mate 😊👊🏼
Excellent video guys! Really clear instructions... quality content! Subscribed!
Awesome, thank you!
Great video - we are ready to go !
great video I used solid insulation in the walls and fluffy in the ceiling and went for foil back plaster board instead of vapour barrier
Thanks and nice mate 😊👌🏼👌🏼
Fair play you made it easy and straightforward awesome tips and tricks great work looks amazing 👍👏👍❤
Thanks so much 😊
Great vid guys, want to do something like this in my own garden, and this has inspired me....

You guys did a great job!!!
Thank you, appreciate it 😊
Great video, thanks! If I'm going straight onto a slab, how do you ensure no moisture tracks under the sole plate and into the room, I know the moisture isn't getting up into the timber but how about across the slab under the dpc? Cheers!
The slab should never be larger then 50mm on all side to prevent water tracking in 😊😊
That makes sense because then the cladding floats over the edge! Thanks for your reply!
From watching you videos, I successfully fitted carpets throughout my house, now im looking at a garden office and this video is just what I needed! Just one question; Why did you not use PIR in the walls? Cost or difficulty of fitment due to the T&E cables?

Hi
Thanks for all this information!
Would you be able to share a plan or project about this?
Stable gun is good for the the felt - criss cross them

Top tip from a video I watched the other day… use a length of gutter down pipe to roll the weather proof back instead of folding it back..
Thanks mate and Spot on we normally do but roof was wet so couldn’t risk it getting on the underside 😊💪🏼 much better method when you can use it tho
Great video! 👍
Thank you! 👍
Solid content fella's.. New sub earned.

Such a great video, thanks for sharing. I’m working on building a garden room with no prior experience, so I really appreciate your advice. Kingspan with foil tape acts as its own vapour barrier 😊😊
@ Cool! Thanks for letting me know. My base is just finished and I’m working on my drawings now, I can’t wait to crack on, thanks for the advice! 👍
I'm in a same situation base done and waiting now for next step. If you live close to me I can come help and learn. Thanks
Great Videos, always a great watch, one question, if you had bi-folds would you still use a flitch beam?
Yes, absolutely 😊😊
Great video guys
Thanks so much!
No corners cut, Top video, forgot to mention, it helps if you have a combined 50 years+ working in the trade!

Loved the video mate great detail in everything you have done just one question could you do a video on what you will do with the floor?

Mint video, didnt intent to spend the hour watching but I did. Awesome, still not 100% I can build my grden room myself though
Glad you enjoyed it! 😊

Thanks for the sub!
Really useful thanks v much
So nice of you
Thanks for the video, super helpful. I was wondering do you cut the fascia boards to the angle of the roof??
We do 😊
