I actually bought a set of Fiberwerx bedsides for my F150, the 6.5 ft instead of the 5.5 ft since I have the longer bed with the extended cab. I will use a different mounting technique and different hardware, however, since I will need more bracing in some areas. Still looks clean and sleek, and I hope mine go on just as nicely.
Anyone that works on cars know that this guy makes it look way too easy!
A tip : you can watch movies on flixzone. I've been using it for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Zechariah Felipe Yup, I've been watching on flixzone for years myself :D
We used the Blair Equip. Co. spot weld cutter kit and it made the job so fast...definitely would recommend it.
Well we already built a streetable Ranger prerunner using the Dixon Bros Racing 4wd long travel kit. View our older videos to see what we did to it. We have been planning for next season doing a 1450 class Ranger race truck.
I can't make any promises but we will consider it if enough people show interest....glad you like our show.
Yes they have saved us a ton of time and their tabs work for a lot if applications.
You guys should fab up the factory fender guard(I think that's what there called) to the new bedsides. That would look so clean. Anyways thanks for the great work guys!
that is AWESOME that you guys Put Deaver Springs on it!! Those guys at Deaver are Amazing at what they do! Def make the best Leaf Springs in the world! Do you put them on all of your vehicles? because I know that they make Custom packs for anything that is performance driven..
For the next project should do a nissan frontier! Would be a bit of a challenge and something different
Love the show guys, don't stop the good work!
Thanks David and yes unless we build a 3 link or 4 link for the rear it gets Deaver Springs.
Impact all the things! Everything looks like a nail (or at least a bolt needing an impact)!
When are you guys going to do some more episodes?
how come I didn't see anybody addressing the shocks for this build? wouldn't that be a pretty important subject to discuss when your changing your travel distance?
yeah the truck now has no rear shocks lol. Im not very knowledgeable about building trucks but dont we want shocks on this thing?
They really wouldn't work on our Fiberwerx fenders...glad you like the build.
Glad you like it
Tab zones sick. A must have
You guys do really great work. Big fan of your stuff from Canada :)
Ay can you guys do a 1st gen tundra access cab fiberwerx bedsides? Nice work! 💪🏼🤠
That looks great. As always, wonderful work.
You guys have prerunners up there? Glad you like the show.
are you guys going do a all out build someday? Full 4 link roll cage custom center mount front suspension the whole works?
We are still planning for next season, but we are looking at building a 1450 race truck.
Are you guys going to do a ranger build in the future. They seem to be one of the least expensive vehicles to do use for a build.
Yall should builld a ramrunner next cept do a 4wd one and do a third gen so us third gen guys can buy kits....since no one showz us love lol thanks yall love the builds
A 3rd generation ramrunner would be awesome, looking into making one, its hard to find a kit for 2wd.
If anyone hasn't already said it.......limit strap need to be straight up and down
do you guys find it easier to drill the spot welds or just cut the old fender sheet metal? ill be installing prerunner fenders on my ram in a few months and was just wondering the easiest and most beneficical way that will net the most strength thanks yall. keep up the awesome work
Hey what model are those deaver springs? Because on dixonbros website they have the F53, F79, and F49 models. Which were used on this build
You don't even day the parts you used, just brands. Maybe put part numbers such as deaver spring numbers and shock numbers. Help people others out. 16" stroke, deavwr l84 something lol
Are you doing finish carpentry later with that hammer?
3 more episodes and we are fabricating our bedcage and adding shocks.
No leaf spring bolts come out that easy every one I have done had to be torched out or cut brackets off frame and start over and a ryoby drill. Isnt a good tool company Ridge or Milwaukee. Is all that's allowed in my shop
What about extended brake lines? I didn't see you guys install them....
1997 ranger, clearly the best year....
I second this! Do a 2nd Gen Nissan Frontier
chrome sockets on the impact
do you need limiting straps in you don't have a long travel suspension but do get airborne?
What is the part number for the long travel leaf springs
Are those leaf springs ridged?
Are the blair equipment company spot weld cutters better than the one you get at harbor freight?
Yes striking and cutting tools are items you should avoid at HF
How do you match rear leafs with from long travel kit/coilovers??
How much travel do you have in the back?
I don't know of anyone that makes a long travel kit for a Frontier
What model deavers are those ?
Ver y well many equipment ver y creative
They did so many more mods that they didn’t even tell you about.
What do you think we didn't talk about?
@@dirtlifemagazine all the extra cuts you had to make to make it fit with the right gaps. Had to watch this video twice to see where the cuts were made.
In theory yes...but there is no way to mount them...
92 ford ranger is the way to go in my eyes
He cut out the taillight brackets 😂
Are these the extreme bed fenders?
These are the TT (Trophy Truck) bedsides by Fiberwerx
prerunnermaniac Okay thank for the quick reply and awesome work
Alfonso Maldonado no problem.
i dont know why he says "we" the other guy does all the work they should fire his ass
why put the limiting straps at so much angle??
gorsk69 That's the direction of the suspension travel
@@RazorbackGrasshopper Yes but the angle is much steeper than the axle arc so why not shorten the go with 16 strap to and follow the arc more closely..
I personally hate how he lays out his straps but this is all relative, he may be able to explain his choice on geometry and why he goes this route I personally am not a fan.
Which exhaust was it that he put on
Austin Herrington magnifies
On the raptor you need to fabricate bedcage?
No they make them for the Raptors when you put your bypasses on.
Play the video at .75 speed and it makes the guy sound a little "slow" lol
coolers dont match...
+samuel thibault yeah that's due to the different materials.. steel and plastic painted the same color will never match. You'd have to repaint the whole truck to get it looking closer to the same. If it was me, I'd just get a vinyl wrap once I'd got the truck all built anyways.
