Good morning and greetings from Mexico! I love everything they post! Unfortunately I am not looking to contact you because you want a prerunner truck, but I am looking for you because I would like to know if you would give me an advice to know what shock absorbers you recommend for a 2005 ford ranger XL with torsion bar in the front suspension, I have investigated in Mexico and the most recommended are Bilstein, Monroe Rancho, or PRO COMP. Could you recommend one? Besides this they suggest me to change the rear spring bushings but I don't know if I should put the factory ones or some polyurethane kit, could you recommend one? I forgot to mention that I am not looking to make a truck for off road but some streets in Mexico look like real dirt and I want to be able to cross those streets without fear
Are the high and shocks such as sway away Fox and others fully rebuildable? it would seem that they should be given their price as replacing them frequently would be cost prohibitive.
That's what the blue light is for! Thought it was for depth perception so vehicles can gauge how fast they are gaining and don't run you over in the dust. Makes sense now. Thanks!
This is a very good video series to show how to build a pre-runner at home! Is there anything besides a different offset rims to space the rear tires out so they track with the front tires?
hey how come some prerunners dont build bed cages, however still put larger shocks in the rear of their trucks, ive seen a lot of them, but they dont have leaf springs, they use trailing arms.
How much would it cost to build up a Ford ranger? Just to take out for the weekend and maybe also be able to have it as a daily driver? Nothing fancy, just something you can have fun in and also ride around comfortably.
Is any brand of shock superior than another (sway a way, fox, and king shocks)? Or is it like this analogy; all candy tastes good but whatever you prefer is what you should get. Thanks for tolerating my dumb question, and I can't wait for season 2!
Even as wild as both projects we built are they are still very comfortable on the street. It's hard to put a number on mild. I would guess $5k-10k. Or you just crank the torsion bars and add some wheels and tires. The Ranger in this episode probably has about $15k into it and it's a daily driver.
The one thing that ive noticed about alot of these builds on several channels is the front is nice and wide but the back tires arent in line with the front tires, ibe seen that on most all builds like this, I'm not sure if that's because its to much to make the changes in the back axsles or what not sure but my only pet peeve
Its wider in the front because the a arms are extended thus providing more travel. You say why not just make it wider in the rear as well? Because these are budget builds that the regular working guy can do at home. Changing the whole rear end is costly and doesnt provide more travel. For a daily driver often swapping to a wider rear end isnt practical.
you should cover all you chrome parts headlights and tires before weld
Looks funny how the front is wider then the rear axle
It's very common.
who ever built the first bumper had way better taste 😂😂 tight and clean you guys love big clunky shit
Bruh dead at the intro I thought that dude was talking
Lol me too
What’s the purpose of the front axles sticking out further than the rear

Great action shots! Nice way to wrap up the build and it will be awesome to see both full size trucks out there.

The best way is to buy a wider axle. Some people use wheel spacers but I don't recommend them. Also glad you like the show.
prerunnermaniac What company would you recommend for buying a wider axle?
mayvis1990 Spidertrax, Moser, Currie, Diamond, custom built, there's an endless amount of fully fabricated housings all over the internet.
They are 37x12.5x17 Mickey Thompson Baja MTZ

Are you ever going to show how to build a cage in the cab? That would be really helpful!

I have a nissan d21 4x4 was wondering if the company u get fiberglass fenders from may have some

Powerstroke Report Bilstein Shocks
You should V8 swap the ranger when you get a chance to?
Ad they use the trucks for jumping over insane dunes and going through the whoops
Are you talking about 3-link or 4-link trucks?
is this possible for any truck or SUV? Really wanna do this for my 1999 ford expedition
frankiejdm anything is possible with enough money but they sell kits for expeditions just google a expedition is basically a f150 sort of

How much is the chevy build? Really want that truck :) great job
Where can I buy a prerunner bumper like the one you guys made for my 2004 Ford Ranger?
You just might see that next season.
Hey guys. I was wondering if you still have anything planned for us prerunnermaniacs out there.
What was the cost of the f150 build?
How heavy is the new bumper?
What kind of tires do you guys run?
I'm just curious, Was the Chevy or the Ford easier to work on for both these projects?
Two letters of advice: LS
At the very start I thought it was his voice. lol

That bothers me that the front tires have a wider stance than the back
i could go faster in a land rover lol also why is the front way wider
the front end is wider for more stability. and it looks badass:)
+rebel pride it looks stupid like if u want more Stability ready just make it wider in the front and the rear
+_RC_KING_ or u could keep your opinions to yourself and not hate on what other people like:)
It's wider for more travel
