Imagine entering the league as a Guard and your teammates are Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Chris Paul. Plus your coach is Steve Kerr. Podz has every role model and bright mind to learn from entering the league.

How to make proper reads for passes? How to communicate on both ends? Literally everything I listed Draymond is super elite at.

You have to consider all the other underlying factors… Klay was averaging like 15pts on a team struggling with taking care of the ball and defense especially with GP and Dray out. Now you add in Brandin and Kuminga into the starting line up to help solve both problems. Brandin as we all know barely turns the ball over and makes high IQ plays while Kuminga is an offensive juggernaut and can guard all 5 positions.

It makes sense. Both Klay and Jordan Poole, have been playing much better off the bench. Klay's streakiness was always there, but he was an All-Star because he was a great on the ball defender, especially among guards, which helped prevent Steph from having to guard an opposing teams best guard.
The Warriors style of playing has also changed. Before it was Steph and Klay's gravity that presented the opportunity for slashers to get easy layups at the rim, or open 3pt shots.
Last year, more and more teams had figured out how to better guard this, and it was also becoming apparent that Klay had significantly slowed down and was struggling to get seperation like he used to on his shots.
So now the Warriors are still relying on Step's gravity, but require guys who can dribble and get off their own shot a lot more, players like Podz and Kuminga have that ability to do so to a much higher degree than Klay, whom, everytime I see him take more than 3 dribbles, makes me worried.

Only one on the warriors who’s been able to do it somehow is Steph. He’s 35, had 2 injuries most would be unheard of after suffering maybe even just 1. He’s going to be streaky. There’s going to be good games, there’s going to be some solid, and there’s going to be some that it hurts to watch almost. We’ve seen them all. He just hasn't looked the same after that big injury, it really took away his side to side explosiveness & agility. Overall he's a much slower player, which gives him less separation & less open shots = much lower percentage. His defense has also suffered as a result of that injury, he just can't move as fluidly. He used to be able to guard the oppositions best player, now he struggles to guard mediocre bench players at times.
