Imagine entering the league as a Guard and your teammates are Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Chris Paul. Plus your coach is Steve Kerr. Podz has every role model and bright mind to learn from entering the league.
Man he is lucky 😂
you could say the same about Poole but yeah...Poole is just Poole
Wouldn’t necessarily call Draymond a role model
@@LoganBurgerStill definitely a leader in the Warriors dressing room, no doubt about that
@LoganBurger really? I get the personality issues you may have. You don't think Podz can learn a lot defensively? How to command the teams attention and direct actions? How to make proper reads for passes? How to communicate on both ends? Literally everything I listed Draymond is super elite at.
I firmly believe that having Klay come off the bench will make him an even more formidable and game-changing asset for the Warriors. Klay 2.0 has the potential to become one of the greatest sixth men in NBA history.
Playing against bench scrubs
no that role remains to manu for now
@@theonlygoodonehere2259 Uh, it’s clear that I’m not suggesting that Klay is currently the top 6th man, but I do believe he has the potential to become one of the greatest 6th men in history. Investing in your reading comprehension skills can open doors in life-stay in school! 😂
@@Treivax no, it still remains to manu
@@theonlygoodonehere2259 You know what “one of” means in the English language, right? Just because you are able to comment doesn’t mean you should if you don’t have the proper mental facilities.
Klay hit the bench and klay starting to see he can be benched but I see it’s helping him
Father time is undefeated. Put that on top with awful injury. Taking its toll
Tell that to leroids
LeBalco
tell that to LeBroids
Klay’s showing the rookies how to play when they come off the bench.
and Podz is showing the veterans that if they keep playing like ass, the rookies are here to take their starting spot. Everybody is eventually replaceable.
@@alexnguyen1284 It can be the fire that kicks you back into gear when a rookie is able to be utilized better than a vet. Klay is gonna need to evolve find new tools to keep up or just motivation to get more bursts where he shapes up closer to his prime. Klay probably can be an amazing player for a good bit more as long his he finds something to get him to the latter stretch of his career.
Naw he's showing himself how to come off the bench lol.
@@JigglemySac Both things can be true at the same time. It can show how being impactful is more important to being a starter to rookies in the league.
@@d.a.f. Ok ok you got me good point my brother. I probably was just being too hard on him judging something I've never experienced. I didn't like how he reacted to the news at first, but who knows how anybody would act after starting your whole career.
You have to consider all the other underlying factors… Klay was averaging like 15pts on a team struggling with taking care of the ball and defense especially with GP and Dray out. Now you add in Brandin and Kuminga into the starting line up to help solve both problems. Brandin as we all know barely turns the ball over and makes high IQ plays while Kuminga is an offensive juggernaut and can guard all 5 positions.
Many players would kill to have his career under their belts.
Excellent vid!
Having a good attitude to come off the bench while still being productive could end up extending Klay’s career. I wish him the best.
60pts on only 11 dribbles is insane 😳
Klay’s shot selection this season is worst I’ve ever seen from any player ever. Contested jumpers, moving fadeaway 3s, and more. The few game he plays well he isn’t doing that shit.
It’s crazy how much his decision making has sabotaged his career more than his age/ decline
It’s funny how making high percentage on floaters might be one of the single most important offensive skills for a guard now, after shooting 3s.
The splash Brocollis
I have a feeling Kerr will be starting Klay in plsyoffs
Better not Klays better of bench pods hustles more
The moment Klay gets back the starting position will be the moment the Warriors will get eliminated.
@@bocalex23 fr tho not even exaggerating
@@bocalex23ur a fucking joke dude
@@nba2kplayer686 It's like, eerie. 0/10, not a single point. It's making me think Kerr wants to get fired.
It makes sense. Both Klay and Jordan Poole, have been playing much better off the bench. Klay's streakiness was always there, but he was an All-Star because he was a great on the ball defender, especially among guards, which helped prevent Steph from having to guard an opposing teams best guard.
The Warriors style of playing has also changed. Before it was Steph and Klay's gravity that presented the opportunity for slashers to get easy layups at the rim, or open 3pt shots.
Last year, more and more teams had figured out how to better guard this, and it was also becoming apparent that Klay had significantly slowed down and was struggling to get seperation like he used to on his shots.
So now the Warriors are still relying on Step's gravity, but require guys who can dribble and get off their own shot a lot more, players like Podz and Kuminga have that ability to do so to a much higher degree than Klay, whom, everytime I see him take more than 3 dribbles, makes me worried.
My boy poole don't care about that I bet it's actually what he wanted. He already got his bag, that Poole y'all wanting back gone
MG JP is not in his bag lmao. He jus keeps embarrising himself@@JigglemySac
The overall tone in the video and title is pretty ignorant. He’s also averaging nearly 20ppg from the bench, on 48% FG, 45% from three and the team is 5-1
Thompson has very bad consistency problems. Dont forget the 10 point games
@@frf5000 if you’re someone who has been following the warriors for some time and I mean really following as like a fan, you’d know klay was never big on consistency, even pre injury. Only one on the warriors who’s been able to do it somehow is Steph. He’s 35, had 2 injuries most would be unheard of after suffering maybe even just 1. He’s going to be streaky. There’s going to be good games, there’s going to be some solid, and there’s going to be some that it hurts to watch almost. We’ve seen them all. Best thing for him right now is to continue embracing this 6th man role which he has been doing a better job of since the idea first started.
@@frf5000curry jus had a game going 1-14 no one said anything Steph takes 12 3s a game making a career low no one says nothing lebron shooting better then curry
It's actually a smart tactic to have players more seasoned and get tired faster play less time. The devote as much time to those with significantly more energy. So it's not bad at all.
Perfect👍💪
Don’t bury Klay. He’s been hugely effective off the bench. Easily 6th man of year level performance (but he’s started too much this year to win it).
One of the best ever moves the Dubs made was to offer Kerr an offer he can’t refuse, and made him their HC. Many people don’t remember that Kerr originally agreed to coach the Knicks just days prior.
Dang them clips of young clay were like night and day 😂
People say a few years back when he was leading league in 3s last year an carried warriors to playoffs not play in while steph was injured a good amount of season
you have to give Klay credit for even coming back from those horrible injuries , he is not himself everyones time comes
It's not his fault. The injuries caught up.He had too bad injuries back the back
Bench Draymond for Kuminga
1. Kuminga starts anyways 🤡
2. What does kuminga do better, score points? Sure, but draymonds help comes from beyond the stat line. He locks it down on defense better than kuminga every will
Holy shit I haven’t seen klay touch the court since I was 10
What happened to the Aussie guy???
The warriors last couple draft picks been crazy half them not even with the team anymore wiseman Poole nico manion etc
He just hasn't looked the same after that big injury, it really took away his side to side explosiveness & agility. Overall he's a much slower player, which gives him less separation & less open shots = much lower percentage. His defense has also suffered as a result of that injury, he just can't move as fluidly. He used to be able to guard the oppositions best player, now he struggles to guard mediocre bench players at times.
Klay can still play but he will shine off the bench… mark this comment … they should, the warriors will win this year
"Polished young rookie" I see what you did their :)
Klay was benched coach felt bad Klay gets in starting line up coach realises klay benched again.
💀
it looks like he's doing better coming off the bench, i know it's only been a few games, js
Klay super good
Well you nerds in California need to know that by benching “BigDawsTV” for a hungry rookie, you have a real coach in Kerr 💯
Don’t you think it’s kinda funny that they look like half brothers?
He the Klay
Podziemski "Clay ....get me a gaterade .....bee-atch " " Don't throw it to me because you ain't accurate like that."
4:00 The Spurs didn’t win the title that year, remember that was the year where Ray Allen hit the shot in Game 6 & they lost in Game 7. The following year in 2013-2014 season they did win the title though
Because he suffered the worst injury in sports and is getting old?
2 of the worst injuries.
@@DarthBigMan That doesn't mean he should start. He's a future HOF, everyone in the team respects him, but he needs to understand that the team should come before the player. He's getting paid for what he's done in the past, that shouldn't give him the right to keep chucking missed 3's.
@@bocalex23 He wasn't saying he should start, he was just clarifying that it wasn't one but two bruh.
Can we talk about how insanely good the Warriors are at player development?
Time and time again they keep finding these hidden gems late in the draft or getting someone that has never fulfilled their full potential and bringing the best out of them, like Wiggins, how many players were great in their roster only to completely fall apart when they change teams?
Cough Wiseman says otherwise
@@Alwaysavictim4367
It's not like Wiseman did better in a different team, he went from 9.1 points per game in 12 minutes in GSW to under 6 PPG in 14 minutes in Detroit.
Poole went from a max player to literally the worse player in the league as soon as he left.
They look better with klay off the bench. Podz and cp off the bench makes their team very small compared to klay and cp.
It’s all Kerrs fault I’m starting to notice
Not anymore bud they sit threw games now... Never playing through bad injuries helps stats tremendously...he is last of a dying breed
Yall document the natural decline of an athlete really weird
Weird to say it's natural decline with his injuries.
Damn Klay momma was fine
Klay got benched for his doppelgänger 😭
I watched a lot of golden state basketball klay isn’t the problem Klay jus the fall guy Wiggins not doing anything at all I’ve watched plenty of games Steph is jus jacking shots and missing a lot no one says nothing but when klay do it it’s a problem Steph plays no defense ppl don’t say nothing kuminga can’t shoot and is not consistent no one says nothing all the blame go to klay
Podz don't care about points. He just hustle more than Klay. He play good def and seen all around the court, simply amazing
Klay way better y’all some jokes
@@oso9069 nah he is not, thats why he benched
The spurs win in 2014 not 2013
lucky
proving totally up for the task, thou
Just don’t pull a Poole
Because he gotta go bald.
Bro this AI shit is getting ridicolous. I see like 1 warrior breakdown everyday made by AI
Well Klay is starting tonight so... 🤷♂️
Dislike the headline intensely
but klay bench is on fire!
Klay should have been benched or released last season…thanks for your service but business is business
he had a great year statistically last year
Dribbling 11 times and scoring 60 points. Kind of sounds boring to me like it was cool to watch but thinking about it now. Looking back and seeing how soft the league has gotten, yeah that's kind of boring dude... And everybody does the same thing. No more game planning. We already know what's going to happen. It's just going to be whoever shoots the most 3 balls wins it all
Easy. He was benched bc he kept messing up my parley on FD
he's just way to inconsistent, he showed that he fails them.
Kerr needs to put klay back in the starting lineup he's trying to disrespect him that guy should not be starting over him
Podz had 4 points last game.... 🤦♂️
His +/- was +17, while Klay's was -13, which means while Pods was on the floor, the team outscored the Knicks by 17 points, while when Klay was on the floor, the Warriors were outscored by 13 points. Pods contributed more to the team than Klay.
Goofy ass music ruined the video
I don't play that gay shyt -Klay and Smokey
Playing with covid mask is crazy😂
the main reason for klay's poor performance is his laziness! ... very far from steph curry's attitude!
Because he’s getting old
Klay just have to pace his self he won’t be on the bench once playoffs start he still got a lot left in the tank
Klay was not benched.
BP is good_the next leaders are the young guns. like STEPH KLAY DRAYMOND IGGY.
You mean buckets falling in the post season
Good. Klay is cooked
Klay was always overrated on defense and the refs just let him get away with mugging for years
