Taylor Hawkins was always such a humble and loving friend to Dave, as Dave was to Taylor. “I thought it was really cool” 🥺 Taylor was always by Dave’s side in interviews, all these years. As talented as they both are, I think fans love them for their personalities. They are so respectful towards each other. True brothers through and through 💙
Man I did not expect this to happen. Its really so sad. I am not even a big Foo Fighters fan but Taylor always seemed like a very charismatic guy in interviews. I hope he rests easy, where ever he is right now.

Was really sad to hear about Taylor today. Rest in Peace, friend, and love and support to his wife and children, and obviously to Dave, who I'm sure is going to miss him terribly. All you have to do is watch any video with the two of them to see that they were truly the best of friends.

What a loss for rock. Foo fighters are one of the last big bands to break through, and Taylor was so so vital to who they are.
What a loss, who would have known he was hurting inside and he wanted to feel right inside to such a degree that he took it too far.

If you're referring to the substances found in his urine, they're consistent with prescription medication for pain, we don't actually know what quantities were in his system, that will be toxicology and will take weeks. I hope it's not, but we don't know yet.

@@AthanImmortal they also found illicit drugs in his system, like marijuana and cocaine, and his heart was enlarged to TWICE the normal size. My guess is the non-prescription drugs interacted adversely with the prescription ones.

Never been a fan of the Foo Fighters, but i always liked Dave and Taylor, and their chemistry. Taylor always seemed like such a relaxed sunshine dude to me. The message hit really hard. Blessings to his family and friends. May they always feel the sunbeams they got from him.

Same. Never a big fan overall, but have always been a fan of Taylor and Dave as people. Their bright spirits made the world a much better place. Absolutely gut-wrenching to lose one of them. Not here. Not now. The world needs a million Taylors.
@@kathrync8632 with all that drug addiction though... that usually has a root cause in trauma, the light we see is but a sliver. There's a lot of pain, darkness and struggle. Unfortunately it rippled out. His drug addiction didn't only effect him, but his wife, kids...the most. And of course others.
We don't need a million of him. We need millions getting treatment, trauma treated, so they can let their own individual lights shine unhindered by the weight of all those unhealed wounds.
These guys are so genuine...love hearing what they have to say...RIP Taylor...

I always liked the foos but not enough to see them live. Last Summer my wife (obviously the smart one behind the operation) suggested we go to Lollopalooza in our hometown Chicago to see the Foos. Needless to say I was absolutely blown away at the talent level, energy, hilarious banter and how many of their songs I actually knew and liked. Prior to lolla I loved them as people and their incredible induction speech for Rush at the RRHOF. RIP TH one of the all time greats and a genuinely funny dude.
So many younger kids and teens look up to their heroes, like we did when we were younger. Times like these could be used to show a 1-800 helpline number under the images we are watching for those who are struggling with addictions. If it helps one teen call to try and save himself then it's worth its weight in gold. Team Coco rethink future posts when remembering those who have gone too soon by helping others.

Not a huge Foo Fighters fan but I'm a big Grohl fan. If you've seen any recent interviews with him, he has the drive and stamina of an 18 year old. He says he wakes up at 4 or 5 am and is ready to go and wants to do things. Anyway, I don't think he'll give up at all.

RIP Taylor! Damn shame! Add another name to my list of favorite rockers who died too young, Particularly grunge/Seattle dudes. RIP Taylor, Layne, Chris Cornell, Andrew Wood, Mike Starr, Scott Weiland, Kirk Kobain, Mark Lanegan, and even Shannon Hoon. So many talented artists and great/kind souls.

This one is the one that really hurts Grohl coz it's the 2nd time that he lost a bandmate tragically. And Taylor is the longest that hed been as a bandmate. 26 yrs. Half of your life is with this guy as a bandmate so this really is painful for Dave. I just wish him that he'll recover with this one soon and he will not isolate himself again from music the way he did when Kurt Cobain died.

Rip Taylor. Feel so bad right now especially for Dave. Definitely must be reliving some past trauma at the moment which is so sad/hard to think about. As a drummer he's lost his frontman (back in the day) and now he's the frontman who's lost his drummer.
His and Taylor's relationship was so close and super admirable. FF4L❤️
His wife and kids I feel especially bad for. To have your dad die of drug overdose... and not be there for your life, that's horrible.

Not even a Foot Fighters fan to be honest but my ex girlfriend made me go to a concert of them in Antwerpen, Belgium.

I woke up to a headline and footage of Taylor's last performance with the band and thought damn he's retiring 😢 I wish that was the news instead. RIP Legend

I love the fact that Dave Grohl made part of two huge rock bands. I mean, I listened to Nirvana when I was a kid, before knowing about Foo Fighters. Then I listened to Foo Fighters, liked it and it took me some time to realize that singer was Nirvana's drummer. So, people know the band for their music, not because it's the Nirvana drummer's band. I mean, the guy really did a good job twice.

I am truly shocked and deep sorry and and ı feel so sad for his unfortunate pass at his young age unexpectidly.
The Foo Fighters band crew and his family please accept my most sincere condolence, but please do nor forget by the way,he's not dead actually because ı believe in the immortalty of the soul and eternity, so surely he will come back.
I remember when Taylor said he wanted to be like Roger Taylor of Queen. His legacy will continue on to inspire others. He is dearly missed already as an artist and a person....so sad for his family and his young children. RIP man❤.
