@karinadoshi3950 Thank you! The description of homosexuality as a lifestyle is a blatant oversimplification of human sexuality in general and homosexuality in particular. Such indoctrination of the collective societal psyche is paramount to both the formation and maintenence of the self validating delusion of heterosexuality possessing moral validity. The reason that we never hear the term " heterosexual lifestyle " is because there is no need to categorize heterosexuality with such descriptively inherent connotative oversimplification in order to subconsciously justify contempt and hatred through subjective ( and, therefore, contextually unfair and invalid) comparison. While such complex reality is certain to come with a threat to the subjectively comparative sense of moral superiority of many, such is the cost of growth demanded by truth.

I have been one of these soft Christians! I used to be quite bold in my faith and would speak out on issues often, not concerned with how people viewed me. Then I lost some very close friends due to my beliefs during the 2016 elections and it hurt me deeply. I’m still hurt by it. I’ve become a shell of my former self in terms of defending my faith, and haven’t spoken out on anything in years because I don’t want to lose anymore friends. I just went from agnostic to an unsactified believer. I simply mentioned my journey to my family and close friends. They all treated me with immediate disrespect and judgement. It was eye opening witnessing that rejection. Makes me more of a believer. I can only repent and hope he forgives me and offers his grace.

Bless you Chris 🙏 . . . Yes, rejection is common when you start seeking and actually living out the Truth. Jesus even says in scripture family members will be against family members because of Him. So just know that it’s okay even though it feels raw and unnecessary. While dying on the cross Jesus said to the Father “forgive them, they know not what they do”. He was speaking about those who were killing and insulting Him. Rejection is the first instinct of man when their sinful nature is confronted with Truth. Mankind is fallen and does not understand the things of the Spirit. The Gospel is counterintuitive to our fallen sinful nature. But praise be to God we are saved by Grace, and not by our intellect or good deeds. I strongly urge you to read as much scripture as you can everyday. The Word of God is living. The Holy Spirit and The Word will guide you and strengthen your walk with Christ. Pray to the Father through Jesus and ask for His help and you will lack nothing. He loves you so much.

@@sharonhoward884 the key is that no matter our sexual orientation, we submit our all to God through Christ. We all arrive into a broken world since before birth.
There are lesbians and homosexual who have experienced a transformation. I know some of them. The only opposite sex person they ever desired was the one who became their spouses.
And, some celibate, not by choice, heterosexuals have been delivered from promiscuous lifestyles into adventurous fulfilling lives as singles.
Unless you cross the line yourself into that dynamic love relationship with God through Christ and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, you will never understand.
EVERYTHING on earth pales in relationship to the magnificence of walking with the living God. It goes so far beyond just a set of religious beliefs.

    • @emmayanaauguli2228
      @emmayanaauguli2228 Рік тому +13

@@sharonhoward884 if you are thinking from a human stand point then your thoughts create your reality. And if from a Christian point of view which is the mind of Christ, then it is not so. The Bible which is believed to be true by Christians thinks this about sin. We are born with sim because Adam and Eve sinned. So yes, inherently we are born with sin and so we have no power over who we are. But that is not how God created us to be when He created humans. Sin entered the world and now humans are slaves to it. Slaves don't have a choice, you naturally find yourself gay and unless you are set free from that sin you will die gay, we are selfish and liers and etc etc the list of short coming is too long thus the saying "i am only human." Now since God did not create us to be sinful nor desires us to remain so, He came to set us free from this jail that we can't get out of on our own. If you ever study the Bible, you will see that God desires something else for us and it is not slavery to sin. Why does He call it sin, 1. It is against His original design. Since God - Yahweh created the world, He had an ideal for it and going against that ideal does not work in the long run and does not bring the best for us either. We live for today, God lives for eternities and His views are not constrained by time. Now you may not believe in the existence of this God nor any other gods. And so you may not subscribe to the thinking of sin nor slavery to sin. I am not going to say it is ok. I think one should really search for how life came to be and examine deeply all argument available in order to avoid being wrong, which is eternally very dangerous.
Now stating that we are born in sin and are slaves to it, this is were Jesus comes in to set us free. By believing in Him we are set free from our natural inclination to sin or lesbianism or sex outside marriage or alcoholism or lying or selfishness etc.etc. When we believe in Him, our spirits which are born dead are made alive by His Spirit known as the Holy Spirit and the Holy Spirit now lives in us giving us power to overcome this nature of sin. Galatians 5 says when we live by the SPIRIT we won't gratify the desires of the flesh. The human is a 3 part being, a spirit, a soul and a body. The soul being the will, mind and emotions. Now the spirit in a man is born dead and then can be born again and come alive once a person believes in Christ. Yet that does not mean the emotions and thoughts and desires of the soul and flesh have changed. Here is were the word of God that transform our thinking into thinking like how God thinks and the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome our sinful flesh comes in. I am not sure if i have managed to explain the whole born with a nature to go against God and His power to overcome that and live for Him and like Him. You can choose to keep on living in a sinful nature because it makes you happy. But i hope that one day The Holy Spirit ministers to you on how wonderful it is to live in godliness and holiness and the benefits it has in this life and that which is to come. Wishing you all the love and happiness and joy dear one. Blessings.

@@emmayanaauguli2228 great explanation. I would clarify that worldly thoughts create our own of reality. In truth, it is not reality at all. The trans movement only magnifies what is true for all of us left to our own confusion.
God's truth is almost too amazing to grasp. When we realise how fallen we are, we walk humbly embarking on a journey to follow God's ways which is so much higher than our own, that we could never considered ourselves better than others who don't yet see the pitfalls of their own, self-made distortion of reality.
In 1977, God led me to a little church with many Christ followers. They lived their lives in ways that exhibited the empowerment and the fruit of Holy Spirit. I never saw such joy and childlike lack of inhibition to be who God created them to be. It's not a contrived cookie cutter religiosity as some might think.
I thought they gave God too much credit for a whole lot of things. But they winsomeness drew me to study scripture and seek the Living God for myself.
He met me where I was at with the most amazing invitation into a wholy and holy accepting relationship. Yet called me and empowered me to a better life.
When taking a deep dive into homosexuality and other sexual sins, we often discover sexual abuses in ones youth which is an injury to the person impacting them for the rest of their lives.
Regardless, sin simply means missing the mark. And we are, as though described, born into a sinful, broken world.
All sin is a bondage that weighs us down making us less than what we could ever hope to be. Christ is the antidote for sin. He lifts us higher than we could ever hope to be.
We see that innate sin in all of us. Children do not need to be taught to lie or take things from others that does not belong to them. It is in their nature.
We must learn how to walk in truth and all the freedoms God affords us. The illusion is that sin is freedom . The truth is God's ways are freedom and joy and peace that passes all understanding.
It's not that Christianity doesn't work, it's that so few people do not apply it, especially here in the USA where we have so many distractions.
Even so, personal faith in a living God is one of the first things attacked when communism invades a country. People of faith are not easily controlled.
      Freedom in Christ is real.

This episode was straight 🔥. Rosaria has now moved to the top of my list of favorite speakers/authors. I've sent this on to several people. She is the voice I've been craving. People who will stand up and speak the truth and encourage us to do the same. It also encourages me to look at our church and for my husband and I to meet with our church pastors and just ask them some very pointed questions.

What an important conversation in this season - it is so timely. So true that we cannot and must not support sin and pay lip service to mortifying sin. So true about the "soft presence" deception. We have that here in Australia too : the foundations have indeed shifted. Obergerfell, 2015 has made a huge difference - the centre isn't there now. Thank you for sobering and necessary Bible based insights. We have to go into battle wearing the whole armour! Thank you so much ,Allie Beth, for interviewing Rosaria Butterfield!

We just have to find the balance w/ this. I'm grateful I don't live in a circle where pronouns are coming up all the time. It comes up occasionally when dealing w/ the government and having to do a questionnaire. If I am asked directly what gender I identify as and what pronouns I use, I try and very gently say I'm female, and if they ask which pronouns, I just repeat, I'm female. It feels like a gentle pushback, w/ no harsh lecture.

Wow so grateful for Rosaria and her work! I relate to her testimony so much. I was a feminist, pro LGBTQ activist, and Marxist for a decade. I identified as bisexual and had sexual feelings towards men and women since I was molested at a very young age. I was a believer in high school but left the church in rebellion over its stance on homosexuality and gender roles and I got introduced to feminist academics in college. The Lord radically encountered me in the darkest time of my life with his love. He has taken me on an inner healing journey and deliverance. He opened my eyes to the truth of the spirit world and the darkness in this "woke" political landscape. Now I can proudly say I am a child of God covered in the righteousness of Jesus and I am not ashamed of the Gospel that saved my life! That is my identity!

I called her by her "new name" for a while and when she wanted me to do the pronouns, I refused feeling like I was being controlled and lying. Now I only call her darling when I see her briefly. This terrible relativist movement has shaken their foundations to where there is no truth and standard now. Keep praying, and keep seeking encouraging testimonies. There are so many detransition testimonies now. Some of them are Christian too. Lots of trans regret. I hope your son and daughter see some of these stories before it's too late and before hormones and surgery has done permanent damage. I have been praying for some miracle transformation of my heart, and Rosaria said I needed to pray to crucify daily my sins. I have an active responsibility to be accountable and make the choice to choose to do what I know God says is correct. It’s a two way street, when I’ve been thinking it’s a one way. Please pray for me to choose Christ and follow the narrow path that leads to the wide gate, brothers and sisters 🙏

    • @JesusLovesTheLost
      @JesusLovesTheLost Рік тому

I hear what you're saying and I have been doing the same. We have to be active in are fight to overcome sin, and that we are accountable to apply what God says in His Word if we want to see good fruit grow in our life. I heard yesterday that it isn't addiction that causes us to sin, but what we choose to believe. If I we believe the Power of God has Sovereignity over our life, sanctification, and Holiness then we won't give in to the sin that is worth so much less then our peace of mind, good standing before the Lord, and our eternity with Jesus.
The example given by John Piper was with a man thinking (believing) he's addicted to porn, and can't help but give in. He said that if we believe the stakes are high then our self control will kick in. He said if someone broke into his house and took captive his wife and told him "If you look at that porn on your computer I will slit your wife's throat."
The husband would easily be able to resist for something as important as this.
How much more important is our eternity with God....
It's a battle every day, but God has given us all the tools and wisdom to fight the good fight of faith.
I pray we work with God and become transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that someday we get to hear "Well done my faithful servant, I welcome you home to the Kinydom."
      God bless you sis!

Rosaria Butterfield has always been an inspiration to me. However, I have never agreed with her views on "conversion therapy" (a term we NEVER took for ourselves) and on her use of preferred pronouns. I am so blessed to see her change her position on both. Her humility in admitting she was wrong is so encouraging. Aren't we ALL in the process of sanctification?
In my own experience, I was very distant from my violent alcoholic father. When I was four years old, I began to be sexually molested from someone whom I admired and whom should have been a protector. This abuse lasted over ten years. During this time, I developed feminine characteristics. I was made fun of at school. And I LONGED to be more masculine. I also craved approval from men, particularly my dad. I didn't get it. I yearned for affection from a man. The only affection I received was from my abuser. Eventually this longing to be more masculine and to have masculine physical affection became my idol. I wanted masculinity more than anything. And then I started having sexual encounters as a high school student with various men. Does that sound familiar? It's the pattern found in Romans 1...
The Lord miraculously convicted me after I was in college. After an anonymous encounter in a public bathroom, I FINALLY realized I was a sinner. Call me a slow learner. I repented. He forgave me. And He made me a new creature.
Now it wasn't like a magic wand that suddenly made me straight. But I had repented of homosexual sin. I saw temptation as Satan's way of trying to get me whereever the strong hold was in my previous life.
Fast forward, God led me to a beautiful wife. We have been married 36 years next month. We were blessed with 11 children (from thinking I was gay to being dad to 11 children?? Don't tell ME God doesn't have a sense of humor!). We also just had our 24th grandchild.
Not everyone who repents of homosexual sin will be led to marriage. And being married is NOT a litmus test over whether or not we have been delivered from this sin. But I never would have been able to be married and had a family if I had not surrendered to His will.
So what about masculinity? How the Lord has taken me through progressive sanctification on that one! Initially I only wanted to hang out with girls. I was comfortable with them. But I longed to be more manly. The church I joined encouraged reserve between the sexes and so I was somewhat socially forced to hang out with the brothers. That was the best thing that ever happened. I began to be comfortable with them. But I wanted to hang out with the ones whom I thought were most "masculine".
Then I met Sy Rogers at Exodus International. At first, I couldn't stomach him (I can't BELIEVE I felt that way, I'm so ashamed now). As Sy himself said, many men with same sex attractions give out little signals that let people know they have SSA. Sy-- he wore a banner sign. But as he also said on the Phil Donahue show, "Brother, I am LIGHT years away from panty hose!"
I began to really listen to Sy. This man whom I originally thought was feminine began to teach me what biblical masculinity really is. He was a leader. He was bold in standing for what was right. He courageously followed God at high cost and high reward. He entered a relationship with a woman, whom he later married, even though he was fearful. He protected her and their beautiful daughter. And he PREACHED. Oh my he preached. He passed away in 2020,but look him up and tell me if he isn't one of the most godly men you have ever listened to!
Today, all of my close friends are men. My two closest friends in the world are two men who know all about my broken past, have never struggled with homoesexual sin themselves, and yet love me anyway.
From makiing an idol out of men, to being called out of that darkness into His wonderful light. That's the kind of God we have.

I knew this girl from Bible camp too and she made a profession of faith and was baptized. But that very fall she had started to socially transition.
So on this trip as we roomed together I was praying for an opportunity to say something but also was being cautious as if I upset her she had nowhere to go as we were in the city. Man, Rosaria Butterfield gets it.
There's a myth going around this country that Christianity excludes certain types of people who identify as this or that.
Actually, it only excludes the proud (Luke 18:9-14). God welcomes all who deeply recognize their own insufficiency, and humbly reach out to Him in faith (Luke 7:36-50; John 6:68). He will then change them so they can become conformed to Him:
"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us."
    (Romans 5:1-5)

Matt 7:21-23 & 1 Cor 5:11 where Paul expresses that there are those who are "so-called" Christians.

I read her book a few years ago. I have followed her since then. She tells the truth and proves God’s love is always with us.

I love her story, but it scares me that college seems to be the place destroying so many young people. 😢
