Thank you for uploading this! I struggle with reaching my neighbors. But, I keep hearing this hospitality/knowing your neighbor message from my church since last year! God gave me an idea, but I chickened out and nothing happened! Today I’m hearing this again and as I was praying God reminded me that I do know 1 neighbor and to invite her for lunch next week! God is on point and wants me to do what I can do and know now! Thanks again Dr. Rosaria!
Holy Spirit was all over this message. Thank you God. About the people judging her based on scripture in the lines of authority and headcovering, i agree, but you all might reconsider wether you are walking in the Spirit, He is the one who says where she does or doesn’t perform.
This is the third of Dr Rosaria's videos I've listened to, all of which have really blessed me. I was very pleased to hear about your intentional keeping of 'the Lord's day' and wondered whether, in this context, you would want to investigate Genesis 2:3, Revelation 1:10 and Exodus 20:8. God bless!
Jesus said that he was sent to save the world from condemnation, not to condemn sinners. However, Jesus did criticize scribes and Pharisees in a series of passages known as "The Woes of the Pharisees". These passages appear in Luke 11:37-54 and Matthew 23:1-39, with additional warnings about scribes in Mark 12:35-40 and Luke 20:45-47. Jesus also condemned hypocrites in Matthew 23.
She is not teaching, she is simply sharing a message. Of course some might complain that she did not have her head covered. (he who is without sin . . . )
I must disagree with the assertion that modernity is individualism. Modernity cares not for the individual but rather the group. God did not create groups, He created individuals. Now He also put individuals in a group, namely the Church, but the body is made up of individuals. All this being said, may God grant that I love Him, His Church and my neighbor.
Modernity is individualism run amuck, it is radical individualism that believes we are isolated little bubbles and our response to the group is only when it agrees with us. It is the belief in "private morality" that what I do in private has no effect on society (the group), "stay out of my bedroom", "It's my body, my choice" etc. There are responsibilities to society that transcend the wants of the individual.
Agreed but also the reason I'll never be truly christian. I believe its evil to look at a fallen world and think you know what's a good idea? Procreation. I only think you know what's evil? Procreation.
AslanRising 1776 it seems first its as individual then we look for others who think or feel like we do. Yes may God grant all your Godly desires. Lets be patient as God is patient with us .
Zealous For Christ. If she were obedient she would refuse to contribute. The real problem is Ligonier even considering this. Of course, many will attack as if the Bible is irrelevant as is done in so many areas. I Timothy 3, I Corinthians 11 and 14. How do Christians get around these commands? "They are cultural", or just don't like it. The same way they justify women teaching, preaching, and exercising authority over men, by quoting Galatians 3:28. Of course, the context won't allow that and certainly doesn't change the biblical role of women. Reformed has at its forefront, Sola Scriptura. Many like Reformed Theology, but pick and choose what they like. The Evangelical church is very much affected by the world and the feminist movement. "If you love me, keep my commandments". Many other scriptures make this abundantly clear. By the way, I admire and respect her enormously. My wife introduced me to her. She has a wonderful story. She was at my church for a weekend women's conference. My wife attended and asked me to listen to her messages. I did and found her to be excellent, but she didn't teach men, nor did she "preach" on the Lord's day.
Joseph Mellen I'm sorry but are you coming down on Ligonier as disobeying the Bible? Rosaria just read from a script, not to a congregation, not on a Lord's Day, didn't teach anything from Scripture, didn't address any men with spiritual authority, nada. Scripture was not broken. If this is what you're saying then John MacArthur would be guilty of the same by having Joni Eareckson Tada speak at one his conferences. Sorry if I'm misunderstanding you, I'm totally on the complementarian side and would never agree that a woman could preach to men, teach to men, or lead a congregation, but this is not the case.
Is a conference a church? Did she exercise authority over a man? Did she teach anything to anyone? As far as I saw, she didn't, she just read a testimony from a script. By the way, I'm on your side. Women cannot preach to a church, cannot teach men, cannot exercise authority in a congregation, cannot lead a congregation, but this woman never did any of this. She is a writer who read a story from a script.
@@HearGodsWord It's just the 'royal' 'we'. We all have done this. We all have done that. It's all baloney, because she's simply imposing 'me' 'me' 'me' - what I say goes, on everybody else, as if she is the authoritative expert.
That’s either all you heard because you didn’t listen to the whole talk or because you’re just that covetous of her and ashamed of yourself for refusing to give the Gospel with YOUR house key…I’d suggest you humble yourself, lest God have to humble you 😬
I love this message so much. As a mom of young children, I’m scared to death of bringing a stranger into our home…
Her writing is stunning. What a blessing this was to hear this message and hopefully integrate into my own life.
I love how this woman writes and how she narrates her own writing what a heart after God
I admire Rosaria so much. Praise the Lord for what He is doing through her!

Amen about the Pharisees bit that we are poised to become...

Now where do I find a woman to be my wife, who can learn to love the neighbor and the stranger like this?

Your poor wife...to her, blink twice if you need help.

Unbelievable comment. Gobsmacking. I would suggest not listening to or watching testimonies if you don't enjoy hearing people's experiences.
