    Hi there, thanks for such valuable information. Quick question, what's the brand of that $40 microscope you where talking in this video. I have a £40 one but with much much poor resolution comparing with the one you have. Thanks

    I have 0 studies on electronics but I have always fixed stuff(who knows how lol), but I just had enough on how to know this numberless capacitors values, your video made it very CLEAR! I even understood what you ere doing with the oscilloscope, I saw you had courses to learn about electronics repairs and im very interested where can I learn more?

    Greatly appreciate the share of this unvaluable information and the priceless advice. I was always wondering how to know if a capacitor stills on the range of acceptable values and not just if it's just "Open or short circuited".
    👍 + sube + a sincere thanks Bob.
    Bless.

    True the right way it to use a clip to ground the multimeter and unse one lead only for probing , very good video

    I will ask a question that I think I know the answer but... What if the capacitor is dead? There is no way to know what is it's value right? (Assuming we don't have the schematics of the PCB....)

Actually Mera bike abs ecu water damage ho gaya iska board diagram nahia hm be pura all smd check Diya no short-circuit but one dark brown color ceramic smd on ecu board it's damaged one point . So I couldn't calculate the value of the smd capacitor . Than what will do to replace . Please help bro . This smd capacitor on board no value no marks are mentioned . After I searched on Google it can any side ceramic capacitors

    Hello, super interesting! (I just Subscribed : )) Small question, how do you know which is negative and positive on the double connections of the BNC that connects to the probe leads? Does it matter? Like right now the black is next to the Oscilloscope and the red is front of it. What occurs if those were swapped ? Thanks!

    I've started my journey into the world of electronics and the first question I have is how can we find the values of a multilayer ceramic capacitor that is shorted without schematics??

    • @hardkore360
      @hardkore360 2 роки тому

      I'm in the same boat as you, I've been able to find similar capacitors on similar banks of the same circuit type on my board to use as a reference, using those capacitors "should" give you a good estimate to replace the shorted cap, another tip is to download the datasheet for the IC that is tied to that capacitor circuit, typically the vendor provides reference schematics that will provide recommended capacitor and resistor values.

    2:14 I will need to attach a 50 ohms resistor to that port or it's built-in the machine?

    • @bob.kalpon1398
      @bob.kalpon1398  2 роки тому

      Hi! If your Function Generator has 50 Ohms internal resistor, you don't need it. If you don't know your internal resistor, 600 or 1 Kilo ohm you have to make the measurement in the output of the function generator and add the resistor or to use the voltage divisor formula.

    I still can’t figure out ho to find what little capacitor is causing my motherboard not to power up, there’s a bunch of them beeping, I wish someone on UA-cam made a video starting from the power and working through each component trying to find what one is making the other ones not work... I’m going to have to change each one of them until they are all not beeping anymore then hopefully my laptop will boot up again

    • @hardkore360
      @hardkore360 2 роки тому +1

      typically one lead of the capacitor is usually tied to ground, if that's what you are referring to then it's most likely not the cause of your power up issues. However if they are shorted to ground then you only need to replace those. ALL of them should not be shorted that's very rare for that to happen.

    When you try to look too smart you.
    A basic multimeter has capacity meter.!!! Just set on capacity measurement mode and put probes on the capacitor.

    • @krisoko
      @krisoko 2 місяці тому

      multimeter capacitance mode is not good at all in circuit, and not that accurate when out of circuit.

    VALUE R DOES NOT REPRESENT THE INTERNAL RESISTOR OF THE FUNCTION GENERATOR THINK ABOUT ESR VALUE ITS THE INTERNAL RESISTANCE OF THE CAPACITOR COMPLETELY WRONG EXPLANATION
