I was watching NWA Powerrr every week until they made themselves inaccessible to every country in the world except the US by moving to the CW app. Absolutely absurd that they would willingly remove their international reach.
I have a friend behind the scenes there. They are working on it. It's definitely taking too long tho

The biggest problem with these shows is that if you go on the youtube channel of NWA or OVW and watch their full episodes, they're SO boring. Mostly a bunch of cold wrestling matches. Who cares? You're never going to draw an audience if you put out a bunch of wrestling matches that no one cares about. That and they have way too many wrestlers who WANT those "5 star matches" that no one cares about instead of focusing on hiring people with charisma who know how to talk sh*t.
When people are so poor now due to the rich taking everything means there is no money around for tickets to wrestling.

Yes. 100% agree. Coverage exclusively of the World Wrestling Entertainment and All ElitebWrestling, gets podcasters revenue but only covering those two, and excluding TNA Wrestling andthe National Wrestling Alliance, and other promotions (i.e DEFY-Progress, MLW, OVW, UWN, etc) is what is killing the business.
The NWA had the right idea back in 2018-2020 where they were doing their NWA Powerrr shows on UA-cam. The strength of the NWA is and has always been their history with professional wrestling. Nick Aldis was carrying that company with the pride of an old school pro wrestling champion who defended the title and gave it prestige. After the pandemic, Billy Corgan shifted the original vision for the NWA and now there’s some fruity guy named “the Thrillbilly” who has a man in drag as his valet. That’s why they can’t sell tickets because they started doing woke BS instead of using the lineage and history of the NWA to their advantage. What WWE has been doing since Triple H took over with an emphatic return to legit pro wrestling is what NWA should be doing. Only NWA should be doing it much more traditionally with an old school in studio wrestling show with intimate interviews with their stars. I honestly thought Russo was in the NWA when I saw that Thrillbilly jabroni with the drag queen valet and some of their God awful characters 😂. NWA in 2019 had James Storm, Nick Aldis, Eli Drake(LA Knight), Tim Storm, Ricky Starks, and many others who were having great matches. And for some weird reason, they had Colt Cabana too who’s the most overrated and under talented person in the complete history of pro wrestling.
Btw, when are y’all gonna stop showing that pervy, “To Catch A Predator” like game ad with that kid at the end? Just watching that shit makes me need to go take like 3 showers.
Trying to hang your hat on guys where their window of being perceived as "the next guy" passed well over 5 years ago isn't going to work as a major draw. Nothing against Tyrus, EC3, Nick Aldis or their actual skill, but all of them, from a character perception standpoint, were damaged when they had the most eyeballs on them somewhere else. There is potential stigma there with respect to the general audience.
AEW & WWE both have stars that are homegrown. TNA had them back in their heyday. ROH as well, if you want to count it. If NWA has any now, they certainly haven't marketed them well or invested in them as much as EC3, and that's a problem. They should probably double down on their women's division for that purpose. Women drew big ratings consistently in TNA, why couldn't they do the same in NWA?
NWA is one of my favorite things to watch each week. I really hope they can become more successful!
Maybe you wanna take a look at the new JCW (Juggalo Championship Wrestling) weeklies too. They have some well known names there and even some wrestlers from NWA like Brothers Of Funstruction, James Ellsworth or Facade and so on.

My girlfriend back in high school had her whole inside locker of Disci Inferno stuff on the inside door. She thought he was the hottest thing and I thought he was the coolest thing. I even bought her his action figure she would carry in her book bag lol. Anyways I said about a year ago to my friends, etc. Vince Russo needs to go to NWA and turn it around to a top promotion, it can be done. Disco would be a huge attraction there as well. Thanks guys

They don't have a compelling roster or any company infrastructure (training, marketing, booking etc) it's just a vanity project.

NWA does a horrible job of promoting the events, it’s a great show but there is no promotion is the towns they run
I agree, because honestly I like how Billy is running NWA behind the scenes (business wise, not taking about booking) more than how Tony runs both AEW & ROH, but the NWA is missing a key ingredient to get fans to watch their TV shows and get fans to buy tickets & merch, which is marketing & promotion.

You WWE fanboys think every promotion is failing. 😂 So ignorant but that’s to be expected from WWE fans because they aren’t wrestling fans. Billy is doing great given the current landscape in the business and how over saturated it’s become. He kept the oldest institution in professional wrestling from going extinct and he has a lot of good ideas. That’s a win in my book.

I just praised Billy for running the NWA better than Tony is running AEW & ROH, yet here you are getting in your feelings because I said that the NWA is lacking marketing & promotion, because it is. When I see the NWA run AD's all over social media and on TV to market and promote their shows and when I see the NWA wrestlers start making appearances on Talk Shows and more on TV shows and movies (other than Tyrus) to make the wrestlers popularity grow, then come talk to me.

I had to think about it a minute...but yeah...I would watch NWA if Disco was on there. And if I was Mr. Corgan...for the heck of it, I would reach out to Disco for some ideas. But only if Disco did outside the box, not the trash that's common.

I'd love to see an upstart wrestling group focus on stories and being creative with the narratives. They focus on the in ring action and that's great but people want to be emotionally invested in the story. Look at Jerry Springer show it was a story and eventually a fight would break out. That's what pro wrestling should be!
