They looked like at least 7 star matches to me.
ECW was hardcore wrestling without a doubt. However, the difference between ECW and this indie crap? ECW had a history of guys who not only knew how to wrestle, but were brought up through the NWA, which allowed them to develop when the territories still existed. Dean Malenko and Chris Benoit wrestled in ECW. I mean like, two of the most technical wrestlers of the last thirty years were in “Extreme Championship Wrestling”. Shane Douglass, RVD, Terry Funk, those guys were wrestlers who could work on a technical level without the tables and barbed wire, and trash can lids. These clowns? From these indie middle school gym shows? They aren’t wrestlers, they’re low paid stuntmen.

Thisbisbwhy I'm afraid of getting in the ring now. Back in the 80s we would have wrestling matches and some hifh flying. I hurt my collar bone once and took a lot if back body drops. I still wanna have matches now but don't wanna do any of the crazy stuff anymore.
In the second angle of the fire chair spot, that guy is literally there watching the guys pour the fluid. Not selling, not struggling or anything. Nah just on one knee watching.

8:18. Typical in the majority of pro wrestling, they always look up like forever
people literally hurting themselves for real to impress 10 fans. What were they thinking? That the moves are so spectacular that WWE is going to sign them? As if WWE will sign people who do such moves and risk them injuring the rest of the roster or killing themselves in a WWE ring. It's bad publicity for WWE either way.
Not one of these guys putting themselves at risk will end up in one of the main promotions that would at least enable them to make a living. There is no upside whatsoever to this level of self mutilation. The risk / reward calculus is completely upside down. All risk for no reward.
I was professionally trained by Killer Kowalski back in the early 80s there is No way he would allow this crazy stuff to happen on his shows. I guess later on these idiots will try to bring a gun in the ring for a high spot. This is not wrestling at all
