About 5 million more people watched Disco Inferno being a punching bag on a weekly basis than watch FTR having 5 star matches though. They always conveniently forget that part.
“15 minutes of fame” is hilarious. The fact a guy like Disco was so over on that STACKED WCW roster, on a tv show that drew millions of people, is a heck of an accomplishment imo. Only young people or people who never actually watched WCW call Disco a “jobber”.
Dude got over on a roster that included Hogan, Macho Man, Sting, Luger, Big Show, Jericho, Guerrero, Booker T, Hall, Nash, Goldberg, and so many more and in a lot of cases had the highest rated quarters of the show. Now compare that roster to AEW lol.
Disco was over during the largest viewership in wrestling history. Where fans actually sat and watched. They didn’t just scroll and see highlights. I think Dax will live to regret the words he said to Mr Gilbernetti once he hangs his boots up and realizes not that many people actually give a f**k outside the AEW (small) bubble. Hell, Al Snows mannequin head is more over than the Revival.
Thats the funniest part of these guys jumping on Disco he was an over midcard act during the hottest period. Funny thing is I compare Disco to the Bucks in terms of being in an over group not because of anything they themselves did
When FTR retires, nobody will remember or miss them. Some people won't even notice their gone. People still talk about Disco and his wrestling gimmick to this day.
Yes. Everyone remembers him, they talk shit. But they know who he was. If you can detail how some guy was a jobber and just helped so & so get over, you remember them. They were a good worker because they stuck out in your memory "jobber" or not.
When AEW brass ran him off his podcast & he blamed it on "concern for his family" my respect level dropped. As a podcast fan, all I expect and ask for is give me it all; the good, the bad, the ugly....

Disco Inferno will forever be more entertaining than Dax Harwood could ever be with his bland boring self. How many singles matches does Dax win......NONE.....because no one thinks he's a singles star. Disco was a champion for the biggest company at the time and was over big time with the fans. Disco wasn't even really a job guy. He was a midcard guy, and was even a featured member of the Wolfpac at one point. He even held a few titles in WCW. He certainly won more singles matches than Dax has, lol.
This is why i never felt bad for FTR when Vince ribbed them with stuff like the Ucey Hot segment. Triple H would be a fool to resign these marks if they leave AEW
Nonsense. I'd be a smart move, and Triple H would probably use them a whole lot better then Vince did. They're top notch wrestlers, the only problem is that they are a bit bland. They cut good promos, but they don't have a whole lot of personality.

Disco was involved in TV segments that were viewed by 5-6 million people. Dax is on a show that on it's best night got 1 million viewers. Lol. Not to mention, disco is still alive & in good health at an advancec age. Dax will be the next wrestler to die at 43. Lol.
Nah, FTR don't do a lot of that high risk stuff, and they don't abuse drugs and alcohol either as far as I'm aware. Also, what do ratings have to do with anything? It's not Dax's fault the booking is bad.

Wrestlers worked hurt back in the day because their paycheck depended on it. Wrestlers with guaranteed money should NEVER work hurt. You have to be the dumbest person in the world to do something like that.
As someone who always used to skip Disco Inferno when watching WCW, I still respect the guy as a worker on the road for years for WCW. I didn't enjoy the gimmick, but the guy who did the gimmick, Glen Gilberti was a good performer, he could work and it's a bit unfair to discredit any knowledge he picked up over the years just because you didn't like his gimmick or because of his win / loss record on TV.

Dax could certainly learn alot from Glenn😂. It's important to disclose and notify management and ownership of your injuries, especially in pro wrestling. Your still considered part of a team, group and family of men and women who still need each other to be over and make money 💰 ❤

I don't agree with Disco's politics, but I have a ton of respect for him as a performer. This guy took one of the shittiest gimmicks in the history of the business and turned it into a very successful career when wrestling was at the peak of it's popularity. I loved Disco as a kid, and I think it's awesome that he made it as far as he did with that gimmick. He committed to it and worked his ass off. No one can take that away from him. As for his views on wrestling, I agree with most of what he says. He's rarely wrong, and most of the things he says mirror what all of the other former wrestlers are saying. I don't understand why he has such a negative reputation among the modern generation.
Disco is actually very smart and has a good mind for the business. It's unfortunate that so few wrestling fans take him seriously because of the gimmick he had.
Why are people talking like Disco was enhancement talent. He was over, he was the TV champ, the cruiserweight champ, the tag champ. he was in the NWO red, part of WCW creative.

I am a big fan of FTR. But Dax is making me second guess that. If you’re gonna work hurt, work it and then do an angle where you’re written off tv and don’t talk about it publicly. I’m not a fan of disco inferno, but he said nothing offensive or triggering. He just stated something Tony khan said, and showed how Dax’s action were contrary to that.
Dax could have made his point without personally attacking Disco. Meanwhile, his dumbass was hiding the fact that he is injured and did not tell his boss. So Dax says Disco never did anything in the business at least he is not a dumbass.
Dax should have used this much energy to get the Briscoes on the UA-cam shows, at the very least, when they were feuding.
Dax is literally a jobber in the singles division….hasn’t sniffed even a mid card title. Disco was cruiser and TV champ, and was involved in storylines….TF is Dax talking about?

Let's make something clear. Whether you like or not Disco Inferno, the guy was very entertaining in a WCW era monopolized by Hogan and NWO. Dax Harwood is just making a tantrum bevause he can't justify what Disco said.
You could tell Russo was surprised that Al defended Dax at all. Once Al did, Russo's position slightly shifted and he didn't go after Dax for a while. Russo was expecting Al to side with Vince's friend Disco instead of being the logical one and seeing both sides.
