Goldberg opened up about his conversations with Tony Khan in a recent interview and called the product too 'cheesy'. In this edition of The Wrestling Outlaws, catch former WCW Champion Vince Russo in conversation with Dr. Chris Featherstone and NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion EC3. WCW's problems were from poor leadership (letting Bischoff have an onscreen character while he was still an executive) and incompetent accounting which all were in play before Russo got there. As for McMahon, whether he rejected Russo's ideas or not is irrelevant because McMahon already allowed some of the worst ideas in wrestling history to get to television.

I mean, I don’t watch AEW, barely pay attention to wrestling anymore. But when I saw TK “selling” an injury at the draft, I looked into it cause it was funny. Y’all are too invested to be unbiased. It’s about getting eyeballs on the product, it’s about generating interest.

To be fair….had Tony not worn the brace, he’d have been yelled at for that. So he can’t win on this one. I for one find absolutely *zero* wrong with it. I’d expect an old skooler like Vince would appreciate the kayfabe.

Just thinking that what really killed the TK beating was that the Bucks were involved. They literally suck the seriousness out of everything. If Jack Perry punched him, started punching him on the ground and he bladed, it could have caused people to suspend disbelief. Even if he used a gimmick chair on his head.
