One of my all time favorite fights, Sad part is that many people don’t even know about it. Feel like penn was at one of his peak forms in this bout.

This was just before Gomi started his legendary PRIDE career. BJ went to the UFC and then the K1 promotion HEROES.
It could have been awesome a rematch on a Shockwave/Dynamite event, on a Ring with PRIDE rules.

really took a beating. Not in the same class as Penn, in my opinion.
Gomi was considered by many the best fighter in Japan back in the mid 2000s. So many were shocked to see he was beaten easily by BJ penn....
