Two of my favorite fighters to watch. Their skill level is off the charts. The thing with BJ is he never committed to being in the best shape possible. Cardio is king in this sport. Also, Nick in his life has known what it's like not to have any food, for instance. There is a desperation he fights with. And I don't think BJ has ever known that desperation.
There is truth about "the Hunger"... construction workers know, it keeps you sharp. When it time to eat, we eat, and fuel our bodies, but we "stay hungry" through a good part of the day, not everyone, but it was pretty common for snacking to be pretty light, and one giant meal at dinner.
He was the worst stylistic nightmare for BJ... Have good boxing? Nick's is better. Have a black belt in BJJ? Nick's came from a better teacher.. Mediocre cardio? Diaz is a triathlete
The pressure and accuracy that Nick Diaz keeps on people is just crazy. Dude was a different breed in his prime. The GOAT always and forever. Also Nate is another GOAT too. Diaz brothers are/were animals.

What an amazing fight by both of these warriors. Diaz of course is the legitimate winner, and BJ also deserves respect as he kept going to the very end. Well done gentlemen.
I was diehard Diaz fan at this point, and I used to go on the UFC and Underground forums and all the Dana White ball suckers were laughing off the idea that Nick Diaz had any chance whatsoever against BJ Penn, because obviously the UFC is so vastly superior to any other MMA org anywhere, they were claiming that Nick Diaz couldn't even beat the prelim fighters in the UFC, let alone a former, dominant champion. I was on my feet jumping and yelling at the TV during the 2nd and 3rd rounds of this fight as Nick started lighting BJ up. One of my favorite MMA moments of all time.

@@left-handedworld oh cool.. heyy thanks for the invite that was nice 👍
Ive gotta check it out.....
What an amazing fight by both of these warriors. Diaz of course is the legitimate winner, and BJ also deserves respect as he kept going to the very end. Well done gentlemen.
Who’s here in 2024?
Thank you

Penn is one of the most underrated looking opponent in MMA history. Nothing scares you looking at him.
Nick Diaz is a straight up warrior. A man with that undying will to win.
