Why deal with the massive 8K files when that format is a decade from being common? You're behind the curve on learning and being able to effectively use the camera. Smoove move.
Exactly, but you know people like to always go with the hipe of the moment. Imagine that the best camera of the last 2 years (sony A7sIII) do not even shoot more than a standard 4k. But yeah just let people spend money
@Sam Boateng but for those of us who appreciate it, it's a real bonus. I can creep zoom, pan, tilt, slide and stabilise in post, with no loss of qualty, it's like having a second camera and operator on set. The amount of people who think they know what they are talking about, but come out with nonsense like "but no-one has an 8k telly yet" or "no client asks for 8k" is ridiculous. When I shoot on my Z9 I get 8k raw INTERNALLY!!! With amazing AF, zero overheating issues and a battery that lasts over 2 hours. I recommend anyone to hire a z9 for a day and try it. You won't go back.
@50450720 have the black magic with 6k pro, and now the S5IIx with 6k too soon, so for me it is enough. I perfectly understand your point, and you're right too. But none of you is wrong. Because it comes at the cost of storage that not everyone has the money for. So, you're and me are lucky on that behalf because we don't mind. But some other people do.
Panasonic hasn't announced B-RAW for the S5IIX (or the S5II with the raw license), only ProResRAW. They also haven't enabled B-RAW for the GH6 and that cam has been out for about a year now. Maybe licensing issues with Aromos or Apple? Maybe the Panasonic accountants don't think it's worth it for the response they've gotten? I wouldn't count on using B-RAW anytime soon.
Yeah that it's a good point, I'm waiting to see end of May, but there have been some YTbers that have been in contact will them that there will be Braw at some point, so just have to wait and see.
@spritual_enlightenment so it is not free 🤔 And yes, that's why you have to pay a "premium" for it, but until they realise any update, we will not know. At the moment everything is in the air, so we will see.
Well there are 3 ways: 1. trigger directly from the camera; 2. Using the DJI app from your phone and can work as monitor too; 3. Buying the RS3 models, that work with Bluetooth.

If you need to ask, then you dont understand the benefits of editing 8k footage on a 4k timeline.
@50450720 sharpness, ability to crop and have different angles.
It is cool, but it is not in anyones intrest to have 8k.

@@samuelboatengyt really hoping for BRAW support as well. Let's see in the next few weeks :)
Actually Black Magic Raw is "free." Panasonic didn't include in their cameras because of license cost.
@spritual_enlightenment so it is not free 🤔

My Gimbal is connected via USB-C. I wonder how i can record on USB-C and connect it to the Gimbal. oO
