Samuel Boateng
Finland
Приєднався 29 лис 2020
Hi, My name is Samuel Boateng. I was born and raised in Italy by Ghanaian parents. I moved to Finland in 2016 to start a new chapter of my life and to challenge myself in a new way. I have always loved photography/videography but never had the funds to afford a camera until I changed my mindset and started working on achieving my goals. I have two major passions: sharing love and happiness through food and through pictures and videos as a photographer/videographer.
I am focusing and working to change the narrative through storytelling as a Cinematographer and Director of Filmmaking /Docufilmmaking.
On YT I'm looking to create my own community and connect with people in the same niche as mine, share my knowledge and learn from my mistakes.
I am looking forward to collaborating with people so shoot me a message on Instagram or by email if you have any interesting projects ;)

I totally agree with you. I've been using DJI Mic 2 for a while now, and I couldn't be happier because the sound quality is so great. And the overall build quality feels more robust than the Rode Wireless Go 3. DJI Mic 2 is a solid investment.
Take care🫵🔥💣💥Thank You
No, don't stop talking about it. It's really relaxing listen to you. 😊😇🤗
An EVA2 would be great. Full frame 6k open gate, L mount. Easy stuff. No fuss, no muss, no filthy bathtub soap scum.
BRO THAT freaking crop...
Blackmagic has open gate as well so its three companies
Mirrorless cameras. If we include Cinema cameras, then Arri comes in play, Red cameras come in play etc… so in this one i only talked about Mirrorless cameras.
@samuelboagraphy the term cinema camera does not meqn nowadays when sony calls a fx3 a cinema camera if it is nothing but a mirrorless camera without a viewfinder or a nikon z9 has better specs than most "real" cinema cameras.
Do you think Lumix will launch an S1 successor. Something between the S5IIX and the S1H II? A camera that can do 4K 60p no crop with a new sensor costing in the $3000 range.
I actually hope so, that would be quite a cool one, but have not heard much talk about it, so no clue. I even did a video about it a while ago about this. Lets see
@@samuelboagraphy I love my S5II X. I don't need such a camera. (S1 II) But if Lumix release it - I might consider it. I have the Original S5 I and the S5II X. I am thinking og getting another S5II X for redundancy (and because I will give the original S5 to a person I want to do a podcast with) I can't justify an S1H II. But a successor to the S1 (an S1 II) probably. If I was making business decisions in Panasonic - I would release the S1H II first and then the S1 II That way there are six months to a year for the hype to build up for the S1H II. Then a release if the S1 II where it seems like a bargain S1H II.
I hope they bring that the multi-exposure mode, that use to allow up to four flash shots to be combined in-camera for a single RAW frame; it was a like a built in photoshop lighten mode. I used it for real estate and could walk up one side of a property and light most of the place without having to use multiple strobes and light stands - then repeat on the other side and merge the two in post. I think their color science is amazing and the burn in LUT feature is a blessing. I would love to have an anti-aliasing filter as they did in the S1 line - it does give me problems from time to time on the S5ii. Any improvement in this camera would make an already great workhorse marriage worthy.
Finger cross, that would be a cool one for sure Only the S1H has the IRE filter in the S1 series tho, so let’s see what they will do
Bought both items. Thank you for the review!
The second camera wil be the GX10 m43 sensor 🤔
I dream of anamorphic desquize in photo mode and a GX9 with the viewfinder quality of the G9. And maybe a small retro monochrome camera? Don't need 60 megapixel nor 24 bit internal 8K RAW recording in 240 FPS. It is becoming silly. Just make the existing ones better with improved firmware or options like the DJI focus pro compatibility in the S5D. Look at Fujifilm, the X-T5 was an overkill, you should hold on to your X-T3 because it's much more fun to use.
Have been hearing this far too long. Looks like nothing is going to come out. Lumix is in deep slumber.
I really hope Lumix will use a badass image processor and find a way to crank up that sensor readout to provide 8k60.
To only place you can watch 4k and up is at bestbuy.
Exactly what i was thinking when they dropped the rumor about having similarities to SL3(slow readout). I really hope we get a new sensor that's faster and correct me if I'm wrong, but does that allow for faster AF if developed, correct?
Exactly, imagine how got the AF is right now, with a faster sensor, an AI chip, and a better processor, it will be even closer to Sonys AF.
Nokia coming back, goodbye Apple and Samsung. Thats how Lumix Fanboys have been embarassing themself for 2 years now...
Lemme know when Sony can update their cameras without bricking them or when Canon realizes that people use external monitors with their cameras
@@absolutelyeverything let me know when i can move my camera without getting sea sick, and wear normal shirts without moire, those hdmi ports are very nice especialy when they lag so much there is no use for them like that, and slow motion? well let me just crop almost 2x, internal raw? since youre a pro, but well lumix doesnt have that in fullframe. but atleast you get real professional firmware updates, like airplane detection!...yikes this is not even all and im unfortinately a lumix owner myself but let me tell you, when itcomes to video no lumix can come close to the fx6 and thats a 6 year old camera....
Handheld High resolution 300mp picture🤷
The EVA2 and S1H2 would be fantastic!!! I would gladly get them. I really hope an EVA2 drops before I decide to switch from Lumix.
@@harlemwoodstudios let’s hope so
Hi Samuel, I heard somewhere that after the S1R ii, the April release or second camera could be a "Lumix Q3". Bearing in mind that the last 3 Lumix FF cameras were hybrid and video centric (S5 ii, S5iix and S9) and that many photographers wanted a photo centric S9, don't you think that a Lumix Q3 would be interesting for the thousends of Lumix photographers out there?
@@xaviergut8232 I feel like all the latest cameras are basically hybrid cameras, in one way or another, they always make them feature packed for some reasons. If you imagine a photo centric camera from LUMIX, how could it be? Because technically the S9, was supposed to be a photo centric too 🤔
@@samuelboagraphy the G9 MKI with a flip up screen and anamorphic photo desquize.
@@samuelboagraphya photocentric camera should have EVF, mechanical shutter, hot shoe for flash photography and a lot of megapixels, 61 if possible. I think the next S1Rii will offer all that. But the S9 is far away from this features. Another option is a fast camera for sports and animals in movement like the Sony A9iii or A1(ii).
LX100MK3 please.
Happy birthday!! And AMEN to acknowledging that there are so many horrible things going on in this world, it's nonsense to have any kind of negativity about camera gear. :-) thank you for that. I'm still using my original s5, I switched to Lumix from Sony for some of the exact reasons you're talking about. Better stabilization, I wanted a dual native iso, (I came from the Sony a6400), and all of the video assist features, and then anamorphic. I've been so happy with this camera, and for my particular workflow, I don't see any need to upgrade to the s5ii or the S5iix, and I also have a gh5 as a backup to my s5, so until both of my cameras literally break, I don't see myself upgrading anytime soon. I'm able to shoot feature films with what I have, and so I'm grateful for such great equipment. I think all of the camera companies put out incredible gear these days, but for me, I've certainly become attached to my Lumix cameras, especially since they enabled me to use my vintage lenses and my anamorphic lenses. I don't use autofocus at all, so that's never an issue for me. Anyway, thanks for sharing these videos, I really enjoy them, and have a beautiful day. And again, happy birthday, here's to the best year of your life sitting right in front of you. Even amidst all the madness of the world in this current challenging time. Stay well out there!!
First, happy birthday to you! And thank you, again, for a good video! Im not intro technical stuff like open gate and all the formats you mentioned. So Yes im looking forward to a video where you explain a bit more about this. For myself, i choose a camera for video quality. I look everywhere where i can find video material. And when i find a video from what i think is a beautiful picture quality i start to look for more video’s of the same camera. And when i still think it is great picture quality, i buy it. I know lots of people think that is strange, but that is all i care about. So isnt that more a personal taste? I know lots of people dont like my video’s and when i ask why not they come with a lot of technical reasons that sounds acacadabra for me. Im simple :-) i like a video or i dont. Im aware im only using maybe 10% of the possibilities of my camera, but that’s enough for me. And that’s why i stick to my LUMIX. Because it gives ME what im looking for in a camera.
Thanks a lot 🙏🏾 I Check your videos, and they are actually really nice. And if that’s your technique when you’re looking for cameras, and it works for you, then it is perfect for you, there is nothing strange about that ✌🏾
@@samuelboagraphy Thank you so much! It is all personal you know, some people like them some people cant be botherd. For me a camera is just a MMM. (a Movie Memory Maker)
You hit it on the nose! Anamorphic! I still have and use Sony, but no 4:3 or 3:2 open gate on FX30 or FX3. Also, I came to Lumix for 5.9k full frame Raw (external) with good Low Light performance.
Not direct at you but… Good luck to them, I have absolutely No Problems with LUMIX.. zero. Paid Clients extremely happy and that’s all that matters. Not jumping because I expect LUMIX to go tit for tat on releases… One thing that is critically important to understand is what you see via some UA-cam reviews or comments are opinions and aren’t ALL what is happening in the market. There is a ton of assumptions about who’s buying… there’s the Internet and then there’s to full camera Market. Shutter Angle - Years Before Best IBIS - Years Before Firmware Updates - Untouched I’ll just wait on LUMIX before I give credit for the finally slow passing up. You have my support Bro, you said you need something new… that is valid. For my Paid work, I can’t afford overheating, bad ibis or migrating systems for a few features that may be nice to have but not really usable a lot to my Shooting Application. It’s crazy how high the bar is set on LUMIX 😂 Sony out here Bricking FX3s Canon repackaging Like favored drinks. Fuji still bragging on Recipes Nikon was sucking just a year ago in video. Excitement is always good by We have to keep it real.
Happy born day

@ yes thank you 🙏
happy birthday, but even your birthday wish isnt making this come true. nobody is coming to lumix, everybody is running away from them.
happy birthday
Happy birthday 🎉
happy birthday bro in good health
Im joining boys
I dont leave lumix because no other camera at this price point can match my gh7
Mmmm… I’m confused, what other Full Frame camera is entry level and cost less than the S9?? I think the MFT is a different “ecosystem” than the L-Mount.. the other brands have APSC and full frame ecosystems, can say they are the same Brand but not the same ecosystem. In my opinion there’s no reason to leave L-Mount regardless of LUMIX, because you have Leica, Sigma, LUMIX, BlackMagic and DJI, developing technology. For lenses we just got Samyang/Rokinon and now Viltrox potentially joining the L-Mount. It almost just feels that people that would leave is just for the sake of getting new gear, the flagships are coming, and shooting LUMIX for me has been the best user experience and workflow, compare to Sony and Canon which I’ve used
Canon R8 only downside is the smaller battery and no IBIS, but has 6k over sampled and full frame 4k 60, canon R6 same but with IBIS, Sony older A7RII and III, pro cameras but can be bought at the same price as the S9 used, my friend own them and they are just 🔥🔥 Nikon z6II and z7II are still a blast of cameras or the Sony A7C line up. Few of those are not entry level but are still great contenders to the S9. If you have watch the whole video, and got the price point you’ll get why I said what I said. About the lenses I’m one of those that do not have any issues with it, and I said that too. The S9 is a cool potential camera for what the next version will be, but I feel it is too expensive for the market it has been placed in. I mean for that money I can find an S5II or S5IIX. No hating on the S9 because it is a cool one, but the price is no go, for me for what it offers. And many UA-camr even people from the Lumix creators group said that.
@ the S9 is the same at the S5II, honest for $1400 I just don’t see anything that comes close, it has a lot more valuable features than just uncropped 4K 60, it serves as my B-Cam in professional shoots. Yeah for photographers it’s certainly not the best choice, but for video IMHO there’s no better option in that price range (Full Frame with 10-Bit Log,)
Actually, Lumix/Panasonic itself has always been there. If you pay close attention, Lumix rarely promotes advertising campaigns and even though I live in Vietnam, there is not even one Lumix KOL/KOC here. On the contrary, at Sony there are many. Lumix they positioned their product lineup for their followers and they only gave it to world-class DOPs like Hollywood when they launched the S1H product. And until now they still work very well, even if they are considered terrible configuration compared to their price. Well, before I used Sony's ecosystem, but as I studied deeper and worked long enough, I realized that Lumix gave me many very good things at a cheaper price. As for Nikon like Z6iii or Z8, I have used it and feel that Nikon does a good job in terms of their lenses and raw files when taking photos. But the problem with the video recording segment comes from Nlog, at Nikon they have absolutely no engineers to draw up a workflow to optimize color science for Nlog. And I believe that not only me and everyone here will see that Nlog when Delog comes out is very bad, even worse than Slog. Therefore, Nikon will still have a long time to develop their LOG profile if they want users to switch to their camera system. As for me, I'm using the Lumix Gh7 and S5iix and if I had to leave the Lumix I'd still choose Sony over Nikon at this stage.
its lumix fault, video centric brand but no fullframe 4k60 like nikon even photocentric brand, lumix is late in the game
RUN as fast as you can. anybody earning money with his gear, is 100% not staying with a company like panasonic/lumix. sony, nikon heck even canon are much better
Lol you dont know what you talk about. I make lots of money with lumix and no sony or canon can do it better for what i do. Lol sony and canon dont even have the features i need! Have you ever earned a cent with any camera?
That makes no sense. You're acting like there are no lenses, no flashes or bodies to use on Lumix . I own 3 Sony bodies with a bunch of GM lenses, voigtlander and sigma art lenses and they're great but I've also used my s5ii for shoots with literally no issues at all.
This is the most stupid argument I have ever heard.
@@35mmdigitalcinema okay
There is no argument here. He’s simply making several observations based on reasons other people have given for leaving the ecosystem. Also guess you didn’t watch to the end where he says “If you don’t have anything constructive to say…”
Thanks God, we still have intelligent people in this world 🙏🏾 I even said it at the beginning so imagine 😅
I think if your a professional that is not a question, chase your ideal Camera that will make you money. For most of us, work harder on your creativity. NO EXCUSES!
@@Zyrk01 well said 👍🏾
People leaving Lumix ? I though everyone is getting into Lumix , i mean i get it that that internal raw is thing. but are you really shooting internal raw that much ? you are very likely to have a monitor on either way, having Video assist isnt that big of a change in terms of ergo to start with
@@TECH3_ I don’t think I mentioned internal Raw recording at all 🤔 And I’m going to talk about the why people are switching or getting in to it video too, but yeah I did not talk about the Raw in this video.
I'm 55 years old - I've gone through a Pentax phase when shooting film as a teenager, a Canon phase as my first digital eco system, Olympus, Fuji and finally Lumix....There's a lot one learns by this age - one being the grass is seldom greener on the other side. What they don't tell you in that old saying is that if the grass is actually greener, it's because someone has been working harder to tend to it. That said, I've learned that working harder on the lawn I own is much cheaper than selling it to a stranger to buy up to the next mortgage where that greener lawn is - only to find out that I have to work just as hard to keep it green. Unless Lumix goes out of business - I don't know why I would change systems again at this stage of my photography life.
@DA-lp4rh I love this comment. But you know, there are many people that need other things and are in different stages of their lives, and they need other things too. But I totally understand you.
There is a lot of wisdom in this. I've gotten so many cameras just to wish I had something better. Or getting a new camera and realizing the footage looks pretty comparable the last 2 I had. Probably spend more time window shopping than actually shooting!
I am also pretty old not as old as you but old enough. I have had a lot of cameras and unless you need something real specific that Lumix don't offer idk why anyone would need to change. They have gone above and beyond to update these cameras and the S5II and S9 are so good and so cheap it's crazy. You can buy a S9 for $1000 used. I don't know how anyone could be mad at that. I like my camera to work and it does my S5IIX gets it done and it's way more enjoyable then anything else I've used. I bought the Meike cheap ass set of 35, 50 & 85 mm lenses and I am happy with them. I believe sensor tech has gotten to a point where you can get a great picture from any of the big camera companies. What's always helped me more than changing camera bodies? Learning more skills.....
Let them leave Lumix. Those must be salty UA-cam creators that make a living of sponsored reviews. If Lumix doesn't release a camera or lens every single year it's not worth it for them.
I don't agree with this mindset sorry to say. If you can't think for yourself over the equipment you need vs what UA-camrs are sponsoring that's a problem with you not the UA-cam sponsored videos. I have no issues with UA-camrs pushing sponsored videos if not for them I wouldn't know about half of the stuff out now or coming in the future. People showing us the newest and latest should be compensated by those sponsors. At the end it's our choice in purchasing any products.
I never understanding why people would leave a system they have been crazy entousiastic about from day one. Did their camera fail? Didnt it take good pictures or video no more? No its because another brand brings out something they dont have. And that something they have been living without for years with knowing it. 2 years agoo ive seen a lot of “why I leave Nikon” video’s. In other Words, the camera you have NOW you bought for a reason, whatever one that is. But it still has that reason. Be happy what you got instead of following “the marked” because that is only good for one thing! The bank account of the factorys.
@@pep98 well the industry it is changing and advancing, and many creators are looking for features for different reasons, and if one other company is offering it, ofc you will go there. If your bank account is full and you can afford it, why not. But I get your point and you have good once.
What about flickering in shadows in N Log? 😢
@ВладКрасный-з6к I do not own a Nikon so I can’t comment about it, sorry
That's only with the Z6iii
@@Bigcookfilmsz8 and 9 as well but with z6iii its really bad.
Lumix Lab app transfer is limited to 4 gb round 30 min mp4lite🤷. I didnt know bout tha 70-200. COOL! Hybrid Zoom is 🤪Cool too! Thank You
Yeah that’s why only we have the 4K lite and only pics can be transferred 😰
@ i always assume my need at that time at launched sound so good until deep dive. Just have to adapt i guess😅i do really like the frame markers! Socool!🥳

If they didn’t come out with ground breaking s1h mark 2 that too after this long they will keep struggling with their finances even worse cause they have to win consumers from other brands that’s the only way and the way they going they not looking serious
Lumix makes some of the best longevity cameras they are in their own lane I shoot with a GH6 Arri log3 I love it
Can’t wait to try it out, may other have told me about how great it is
@@karlyworldproduction6693 Hey I wanted to know what is better with arri log c3 and GH6 I have one GH6 and it is really as much better vs original V log? No real video about it because unfortunately GH6 got such bad reputation
@@filipmichalsaffray441 me personally I love the color science of Arri log3 and V log is good but I prefer Arri over it
@karlyworldproduction6693 I usually convert every footage I have to Arri log 3 with Cinematch and they an integrated HDR pipeline workflow with Resolve...but maybe to have it directly in the camera is probably better
Great video bro, I really hope that Lumix releases some great cameras this year because even though I'm with Nikon now my heart is still with Lumix

I'm all Lumix, at this point not searching for any other camera. Lumix had me GH5 , I made so much production money with that camera. I can't put down my S5IIX or S9 firmware updates are amazing! So I'm good to stay!
Happy to hear that, indeed the new firmware was actually a banger
Lumix are the best at updated and giving back to the community, bht over the past year with the z8 i managed to try it at a wedding and its incredible jm a s5mk2 owner and gh5 ....but the next release all the info we keep gettign is from sources and this is just not enough for folk to wait and jump ship
