I bought the 2024 Sport Touring Hybrid. I agree that it should have come with ventilated seats and 360 degree camera, but lack of those items simply wasn't enough of a deal killer. I did tons of research (including test drives) and nothing comes close to the overall driving experience of the CRV Hybrid. It's very comfortable, refined (but not fussy), and drives and handles impeccably smooth. Plus you get Honda reliability, great gas mileage without having to plug it in, and solid resale value.
No. I scratched the Venza from the early list of contenders because I personally find it visually unappealing. While I’m generally all about practicality, aesthetics do factor in.
I’m pleased to report that my CRV Hybrid is getting a solid, consistent 40mpg in city stop & go traffic. And so far two highway trips have yielded around 35mpg.
I totally agree, it’s so frustrating to see that even fully loaded CRV doesn’t get ventilated seats, pano roof, 360 camera, HUD, 4-door sensors, and yet they give most of these features to the less popular Accord and bigger Pilot.😢 for me, CRV is the right size, I don’t need the size of Pilot, and I don’t want a subcompact SUV like HRV, but I also want all the features, so I have no choice but to give up on CRV.
It would be nice for the pano option. But what about those of us who prefer a regular sunroof? A huge slab of glass to have broken? Falling branch? Etc.
I have driven EX-L 2023 version and it was really good in terms of comfort, space and power but price and dealer were so bad that we passed. One more issue with it is the lack of features - all other competitors is the same price range offers more - like panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats.
I've watched all your videos for years and i was against this vehicle when comparing to Toyota and thought RAV4 would be my Venza replacement... However a 2024 CRV hybrid touring sits in my driveway... It was modern and not dated and i couldn't wait anymore... It is very polished almost European in it's driving very smooth similar to wife's Tiguan in some ways it gets 37 mpg in mixed driving it's got almost all features i wanted save a few.... I've had it only 2 months but it's a great car... Yes it was a bit more cash with some missing features but i also had 3 of the same color and level of trim on the lot... No months of (or years) of waiting. Really happy so far.
I looked on their website when the new Civic generation and this CR-V came out, and I was blown away by how much the increased pricing across the board. Just 5 years ago the base model started around $27-28k... now it's $10k more. That's insane. I will NEVER give my business to a company that takes advantage of consumers, and I strongly believe Honda is doing that right now.
@@vicp8772 I agree they are higher MSRP but at least they are honest. KIA dealerships is asking $10,000 over MSRP and Toyota is playing games on taking your deposit for cars never showing up and after you wait a while offer you something else over MSRP. I could not find a brand that had the Honda quality and mathced up feature for the dollars when I went to put my signature down. MSRP right now at most brands and dealers means not much
Locally every dealer is marking up the msrp substantially, especially the hybrids…except for Honda. Bought the touring hybrid last week after lots of research.
The CRV numbers in the US aren’t real though. I tested the EX last month, and was given an OTD price of $41,500 AFTER trade (of a ‘13 Crosstrek). That’s a full $7k over MSRP. I ended up buying a ‘23 Forester premium. Our other car is a ‘17 CRV, which we LOVE, but there’s no way I was paying Honda’s insane premiums to stick with the brand.
I bought a 2024 CRV hybrid EXL. With the sky high fuel prices in Vancouver and a daily running of around 60kms, it did not make sense to buy a gas car. The wait time for a Sportage hybrid was 2 years while Honda delivered my car in just 15 days! Kias and Hyundais also have a very soft rear suspension, which result in a bouncy ride over uneven roads. I have owned Hyundais in the past and this has caused motion sickness to occupants in the rear.
We will hang on to our 2017 CR-V Touring. We haven’t had any issues with it and it has been great. (Plus it’s paid off 😎) This doesn’t offer that much more 7 years later! I can’t believe they deleted the rear LED turn signals from the old design and went back to outdated halogen bulbs! Still no panoramic roof, ventilated front seats or a 360° camera and the touch screen is embarrassingly small! Come on Honda… get with the times
This makes sense as a hybrid model with great, really great mpg . Non hybrid models are totally uninspiring and are here just until they are sold and phased out by hybrid only engines. In U.S. the fully loaded CR-V tops out at 42K U.S. dollars, before TTL and fees. That is already 60K cash Canadian before interest to the banks! About 80% of U.S. and Canadian buyers are already priced out of new cars and that number is growing daily.
Andrea, I’m with Zack on the seat ventilation and sunroof. We both love the simplicity of the dash/controls. The competitor (Toyota only imo) and other mfg’s vehicles just have too much crap and clutter. We bought a 2024 CR-V, EX-L Hybrid because it is simple, clean and minimalist. We have only owned Honda, Toyota and Nissan over the past 13 years (took me way to long to change from patriotic domestics. Both Honda’s and the Toyota were impeccably reliable and cheap to maintain. Been watching you 2 since way back in the Driving TV days. Outstanding work both of you.
Much improved in the looks department. Too bad Honda's, and everything else are so darn expensive. The average person can't even afford a new vehicle anymore in reality.
No spare tire is somewhat common these days, and yes, it's outrageous. According to AAA, 30% of new cars come without spares. If you look at the spare tire area in the hybrid CR-V, the battery is in that spot, and it looks to be very poorly thought out.
I have an UPDATE for you guys! I own a 2024 CRV Hybrid Touring. Use it as a full time Uber/Lyft vehicle. Love the comfort of it a lot. It is an absolute nightmare when you get a flat tire!!! In Canada there is no tire pressure monitoring system on these vehicles!! No spare tire!! So when you get a flat, you don’t even know you have it. You can’t feel it. You are riding on a flat tire DESTROYING it, until someone honks at you to tell you that you have a flat tire! On a top of the line 2024 CRV. I’m flabbergasted. Ask me how much it costs to have one tire replaced? $472.00 installed and balanced. Had to go through it 3 times. If it had a tire pressure monitoring system I’d know to stop driving when air pressure decreases and fix it before the rim chews up the flat tire. Every flat could have been fixed for under $50 if it had what my 2019 Corolla Hatchback and MANY other much cheaper vehicles have: SAFETY! Tire pressure monitoring system. Was obligated to end an active Uber ride twice due to a flat on the side of the hwy. these repairs add up quickly into over $1,000 for a tow and new tire replacement. Shame on Honda for removing this important feature on their 2023/2024 models. The previous vehicles had it. The fool responsible for making this decision at Honda should be tortured. Honda needs to be flamed for this. At the cost of this vehicle this is extremely unacceptable! And you the reviewers need to raise RED FLAGS to the consumers so we know about this!!! I wouldn’t have purchased it had I known. Truly. I love it; but this is not OK. Far from. SHAME ON HONDA!!
@z1983 Really They removed TPMS on the 23 and 24 CRVs ? I have a 22 CRV Hybrid love it but was thinking about getting a 2024 or 2025. Not now if that was removed. What sense does that make ? I think what I read is only the CA models don't get TPMS anymore.
I had been driving a 2018 Honda CRV AWD gas only until the accident, and it was impeccable. After the accident, I tried to replace the 2024 Honda CRV. When I went to buy a car, I found that the EX-L was too expensive, and the interior and exterior looked very low-end and ugly. So I decided to give up and choose the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. 😂😂😂
Just recently, a dealer told me very directly and simply the rational behind Honda's substantial price increase and lack of content in the lower trims vs it's prince. Simply, Honda has products to sell. They are available. They have stock to buy from the Ontario-manufactured CRV and Civic models as compared to much of the competition. And of course, prices and content reflect that.
So in other words they are ripping us off directly because they have cars available instead of having the dealers add market adjustments and fake appearance packages.
Price Increases Across The Board For All Models! Whatta Surprise! I would Opt for a leftover 2023 CRV Hybrid Sport. That would be the natutal replacement for our 2016 CRV Touring AWD with 45K miles. With a $38K Price tag, a trade in value estimated at circa $19,000 for our 2016, no car loan, the decision focuses on the economic Sense. Notwithstanding the major improvements in looks, size, HP, MPGs, and interior design enhancements, there are some features that are lacking (Ventilated Seats, Power Steering Wheel adjustments, etc.) - and with the tripling of car loan interest rates (I'll Hold My Tongue for the clear reasons as to Why - do the initials JB ring a bell?) ... I may have just answered my own question ! Great Video Guys, very informative.
You guys are usually spot on but I felt this was a bit off. I still don't think the average car buyer obsesses about wireless apple car play, ventilated seats, huge digital screens as much as car reviewers do. On the positive note, I liked how your outfits sort matched.
I have viewers reach out to me daily and say they will not buy another new vehicle without ventilated front seats and the other important feature is wireless Apple carplay and Android especially if they are keeping the vehicle long-term.
@@andreaspencer9813I think wired Apple CarPlay and android auto will be more beneficial down the road and it’s also a win if you charging your phone at the same time. I personally prefer sedans at this point in time.
Honda has been a HUGE disappointment in their recent lineups. The trim packaging and lack of features is just bonkers. I saw the new CR-V on the road and it was just utterly boring looking to me. I’ve said this about Honda and I will say it again, “You will pay more to get less.”
I thought you’re gonna back off of your criticism on previous video on this but I’m glad you doubled down on it. Terrible packaging and as Zack said pathetic small screen
We just picked up a EX-L (USA). Pearl white with light gray interior - a new combo for us, especially the lighter interior and exterior. Wish it had ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, and a 360* camera. As it is, we are pretty happy with it overall. We also looked at the competitors. We found that there was something lacking in every car, no Cinderella. The CRV was best in terms of combined: value, brand consistency, comfort, performance, financing, roominess, aesthetics, tech and REMOTE START that you don’t have to pay a subscription for!
Great color combination! -- white exterior with a gray interior. In recent years Honda has been pushing a black interior on many of their models/ trims which I dislike. I feel that one should be able to choose a light colored interior on all trim levels if that is what the customer prefers.
I agree with Zack's description of the Swiss Army Knife. I could find nothing particularly wrong with this, but there was just no excitement and I was in a place that I needed something exciting. To "alright' for the price. I drove all of the various models, liked them all and could not get over the finish line. I don't think you will be sorry if you buy this, and I don't think you will be sorry if you choose something else ;)
The crv falls in the category of “I wouldn’t hate it if I had one but I wouldn’t buy it if I have a choice.” Or, in short, it’s… “fine..”. I’m much more likely go with the Korean cousins and probably not any dramatic reliability difference these days. This crv seems to be designed in the parts shortage era given curiously lacking some common features.
I ended up in a EX-L hybrid. I thought I was going to get a Kia Sportage or RAV. The sportage seems great but since there is a shortage of the hybrids they were asking within $1000 of of what I paid for the Honda. I thought the honda drove better and its engine design would stand up better than the Kia. The Rav I really disliked. Passenger seat was too high for me until you get into the limited model with power passenger seat. I found the Rav not as nice the drive and the interior not as nice. The venza is closer to the CRV interior but not as much room. Was not going to get any hybrid from toyota for months. So the short of it is You cannot get a toyota and KIA is actually sells for way over MSRP.
Honda and Toyota Both have gone absolutely crazy with their prices. They are super expensive here in the US as well. A sport hybrid here in the US is about $45K.
You and your cousin both go back to sleep. Your dopey cousin probably bought the basic LX 2 wheel drive model. Those are out the door for 37k. I spent the whole of last weekend driving to different dealers in different cities in Northern California and you couldn't get a sport hybrid 4 wheel drive for less than 44k out the door. It is a fact and not exaggeration. Do your homework before you speak.
Might be a bit more pricey up front but in the long run , residual value , good resale value and reliability is a proven stat with Honda vs a cheaper alternative such as Kia and Hyundai . Remote start is also a great feature the sport in Canada comes standard with.
Honda is straight up lazy and complacent. We’re on our 3rd CRV: 1st gen 1999, 2010 and 2015 in our garage now. You can bet we’re shopping the competition for our next compact suv.
In the U.S.A. I've got a quote for $45,000 on a 2024 CRV Hybrid Sport AWD (not even a leather trim). I ended up getting a 2023 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid for my wife under $30,000 out the door with bumper to bumper platinum warranty of 100,000 miles. I was pleasantly surprised of all the options the Elantra has that most other cars don't even offer at $40,000 or more. I didn't even think that wireless Apple/android was available until I set up my phone.
My wife has an Elantra one trim up from base and it drives nice and is good on gas it’s getting combined 5.5 per 100 kilometers, not too bad at all. 34 grand cdn out the door with their top warranty.
Missing so many features that other competitors have, if this car has all the features that accord has plus a 360 camera, and rear door sensors, I would’ve bought it already.
Imo the Subaru forester is the upgrade version of the “ Swiss Army knife “. I’ve already owned a CRV but with Canada’s winter months the forester is my choice
Most people I know who have Subarus had major issues and replaced their car with fewer than 150,000 miles. Hondas last longer. Personally, I think Subarus drive horribly. I’ve driven them. I also think they are ugly, but that’s just me. Hondas are more expensive, agree it’s been a bit much, but the longevity….my son had a 2007 civic (same basic car as CRV) that lasted 345,000 miles. Don’t see that much with a Subaru-at least in my experience.
and Honda's unwillingness to honour their warranty. My CRVs hatch started to rust at 35 000kms and Honda would not cover it. Honda said it was stone chips on the face of my hatch (3 of them), I typically don't drive down the road in reverse. I don't drive on gravel roads. It is clearly is not stone chips or any other external impact.
I don't trust the 1.5Turbos after I had to get rid of my 2016 Civic 1.5T from oil dilution. I like the Hybrid system though, it had a real AWD system and if I'm not mistaken Honda AWD is just last generation's Acura SH-AWD. The Blue Paint is fantastic. Honda's pricing is messy for Canada. The "base" model Civic is gone there is no more DX/DX-G trims and they start $2000 more than the Mazda3 or Toyota Corolla...
The price comparison is not fair. Comparing MSRP makes little sense if no one can buy at MSRP. Today there is 2-5k dealer margin over MSRP. Take that into account and that extra price and CRV looks much better
In Europe with 2024 CRV we get 360 view, panoramic roof, ventilated and heated front seats. We only get hybrids and pricing is crazy high 52K-60K Euros
Bought our 2017 CRV Touring for just under $39K, which came standard in Canada with a pano moonroof, quad heated seats, heated steering wheel, power front seats, power kick to open lift gate and all the safety tech. Also we were able to order a beige leather interior, which you can’t get anymore. Black sucks! So after almost 110k trouble free miles and a consistent 6.4L/100K on the highway, why would I buy a new one? Honda keeps taking stuff away and the new prices are obscene!
I sure glad I didn’t buy it because they replace the 2.4 with the 1.6 turbo with same gas milage. I know 3 people who bought Honda with this engine and all 3 needed their turbo replaced.
I have the 2021 Touring AWD which has been excellent; now I see Honda took away the fog lights, which I use all the time on dark rural roads, and still no 360 degree camera. Now I hear some LED lights have been taken away. This is ridiculous.
Just bought a 2024 Honda Crv EX. I cleaned the dashboard and it started flaking. Not the chemical or microfiber, its just the material they use now is weaker and even the dealer said it should only be wiped with water despite any product saying its safe for cars interiors.
They've stretched the car and the price. We've seen the same exercise by Mercedes with the GLB, similar size and similar price. I believe the strategy might be making these Compact SUVs look alike the upper SUV category and grab some buyers there, as well as people looking to improve from the usual small Compact SUV category (as if these were the same as the upper segment). And actually I can expect a few GLC potential buyers, settled for a GLB instead, but to be honest, I don't expect many preferring the CR-V to a GLB. The little star in the front makes a big difference in people's minds. 😊
Nice review as always Why do you always fail consider the Outback when talking about CUV??? I drive a 22 Outback & of course compare everything with the OB. Lots of CRVs on the lots here in the Seattle area with no dealer markups. I recently drove a CRV 23 Hybrid, very spacious and smooth. CRV back seat and cargo area seems cavernous in comparison to OB but so much of it is vertical. The fact that seat doesn't fold flat is a bummer. I much prefer the cargo area layout of the of the Outback over CRV, RAV4, & Korean twins -- more length, less vertical space but who wants to stack all their stuff? I have also driven Hyundai Tucson several times as Turo rental -- very nice car indeed! The Koreans & CRV seem like great cars overall, especially the hybrid versions and their great mpg -- very tempting! While I love the more car / wagon like form factor of Subaru, sadly their engine options are about 10 yrs behind other CUVs. While they manage reasonable highway mpg (29-33) the city mileage really sucks at about 24-27. If Subaru could come up with a good hybrid, it would definitely be the top of the heap, but its current engines compromise it.
Andrea, you are a classy lady. I didn't notice that you do your best to where a top that matches the vehicle (and sometimes pants or a dress/etc) until about 6 months ago. Well done.
Andreas best skills are the smirks, smiles, head tilts and silent asides she makes while Zack talks. She goes from "gosh honey I adore you" to "I can't believe you said that" in a flash ;)
Excellent review as usual. I’m just not a fan of the CVT and black wheels. Although, I currently own a 2022 Honda Ridgeline RTL and love it, l’m going to look at the Hyundai Tucson Limited to replace my wife’s car. Honda is out of control in their pricing…
I'm driving a 2024 Honda CRV - Hybrid Touring in Toronto Canada. I just wish it was a panoramic and not a moonroof. Exterior how come the Hybrid and Touring word is soooo small to read 😩 I drove it on both city and highway so far so good no complaints yet. It's a smooth drive 😉
IMHO, the CRV still lags behind in the market with no option for a fully digital instrument panel, 360 camera, pano roof, Homelink mirror, LED turn signals, ventilated seats, etc. Those are available on the RAV4.
No spare tire on Crv hybrid, my roadside assistance will not use the repair kit. They only covered replacing the tire with the spare tire. So I am going with Toyota.
The CR-V model which comes with Bose audio system has a front acoustic glass, which helps in noise reduction. I believe that is an important feature if you focus on NVH levels on budget buys.

Thank you for the review. Don't get it why people are complaining about prices. If customers are willing to pay whatever Honda charges, what's the problem? It's not like Honda is a monopoly and people have no choice but to buy their overpriced vehicles.
Huge fan of yours. Wanted to comment because this is not the first time you’ve discussed Honda pricing in Canada. Have you looked at the currency rate conversion? I agree that Hondas have become significantly more expensive but looking at the CAD vs USD the top trim Canadian Hybrid is technically $2000 USD cheaper when comparing both on the US dollar. Same goes for the base trim. So from an absolute value perspective, you guys get the cheaper car. Not to mention the added features you guys get that are not available in the US…
Recently I bought 2024 Honda CRV Hybrid sport. I do not know what is ventilated seated & I did not have panoramic camera with my previous 2019 Honda CRV so I do not miss them. 2024 Honda CRV has more features than what I would use. But what I miss is fog lights. I was more concerned about the color of the car I forgot to ask it came with fog lights but I found out later Honda CRV has discontinued fog lights. I test drove Toyota RAV & it’s not as quite as Honda CRV & I feel more comfortable driving Honda CRV. I really like 2024 Honda CRV sport. I don’t know why it does not come with spare tire.. I never had to use one before so I have to keep my fingers crossed 🤞. The price of the car in US seems cheaper than Canada but these days any Honda car on the lot has $3,500-4,000 added to the price of the car. There are shortages of Honda cars. 2024 Honda hybrid sport is $42,000.
My 2012 CR-V Touring was 35k taxes included in Canada. There’s no way on Earth am I paying close to 60k for a 2024. Simply not worth it. And NO adding a pano roof and vented seats isn’t the answer. We don’t need that shit. This vehicle should be 40k MAX with taxes.
It is great product but features are much less than competition. Hondas also tends to have higher insurance premium here in GTA. So factor that as well. They are proven for sure, but everyone is getting better and people are starting to compare specially in this inflationary times. With the Touring Hybrid at 52k vs Tesla Model Y RWD StandardbRange at 55k after 5k fed rebate, hard to beat the Tesla in my opinion. Toyota Hybrid or even the loaded Tucson PHEV can be have much cheaper after rebates. Keep up the great and honest reviews!
We bought a 2017 CRV EXL new and have about 60,000 miles on it. It has been a great car but it is not as comfortable on long road trips. It sounds like the new CRV has fixed the long-distance comfort problem, is that true? I had a 2006 Pilot which was also a great car but I don't see a hybrid coming. I would go with the Pilot for a little better ride if there was a hybrid. Any word on a hybrid? Thank you for all your hard work reviewing so many cars in such great detail.
I know you don't have access to the other countries vehicles. What really blows my mind is Philippines get so much more on the CRV; Pano Sun Roof; ALL Digital Dash (customizable), heated and Cooled ventilated seats; they also offer plug in for the hybrid and option 3rd row seating. Interior wood trims. Rear with additional lighting, ambient lighting everywhere on the floor; JUST SO MUCH more why ?
CRV has sport mode, its in the gear shift knob's, it has S mode for increasing acceleration and L mode for increased engine breaking. The S mode is so good for sudden acceleration upto 100kmph after that its good to shift D mode for more top speed.
Can you consider adding headroom (front and back) along with the other dimensions for the tall folks. Thought this might be a great choice until I sat in one.
Interesting. I'm quite tall (6'2) and had no issues in the CR-V. I guess there are folks much taller than I am, but if that's the case, I can't imagine there's much in this class that does much better? The RAV4 is ridiculously short in comparison. laughably short.
Looks awesome outside but that inside? The price? That's why I bought my Subaru. Can't believe Subaru didn't make the final 4 options. Do you know what you can get it a Touring model?
@@Motormouth...when you compare our sport trim with the US equivalent the EX awd model (missing the power lift gate and heated wheel) the prices are very comparable. 44k CAD is equivalent to just above 32k US. Honda isn’t price gouging Canadians on CRV sport our dollar is just awful.
I'll never buy a Hyundai/KIA the way they treated USA buyers over the KIA Boyz USB hack. This doesn't have as much interior bling and features, but it'll last way longer than the Korean cars and much better resale value (Bank of Honda and Toyota pays dividends).
I did a price comparison of Sportage EX+ Hybrid and CRV EXL Hybrid. These trims are comparable for key features like power seats, wireless Android auto and heated seats. The gap is less than a 1k. Thoughts?
The west African’s are going to love these updates.
😂😂😂😂
I bought the 2024 Sport Touring Hybrid. I agree that it should have come with ventilated seats and 360 degree camera, but lack of those items simply wasn't enough of a deal killer. I did tons of research (including test drives) and nothing comes close to the overall driving experience of the CRV Hybrid. It's very comfortable, refined (but not fussy), and drives and handles impeccably smooth. Plus you get Honda reliability, great gas mileage without having to plug it in, and solid resale value.
Did you compare it to and drive a Venza?
No. I scratched the Venza from the early list of contenders because I personally find it visually unappealing. While I’m generally all about practicality, aesthetics do factor in.
All ICE SUVs have bad gas mileage despite the EPA estimates. Reliability and driving is what matters first then comfort.
I’m pleased to report that my CRV Hybrid is getting a solid, consistent 40mpg in city stop & go traffic. And so far two highway trips have yielded around 35mpg.
2024 tuscon trend gas, now can come with power lift gate I was told. When on a budget seems like the better choice
Agreed, that is why I bought the Acura RDX...still a Honda, but price point a little higher...maybe their strategy?
It would be nice for the pano option. But what about those of us who prefer a regular sunroof? A huge slab of glass to have broken? Falling branch? Etc.
Agree. Total let down. It's 2024!! Not 1998.!!
I have driven EX-L 2023 version and it was really good in terms of comfort, space and power but price and dealer were so bad that we passed. One more issue with it is the lack of features - all other competitors is the same price range offers more - like panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats.

However a 2024 CRV hybrid touring sits in my driveway... It was modern and not dated and i couldn't wait anymore...
What’s funny is there actually selling my Honda dealership says these are sold even before they get off the truck

“Sport” trim has no sport mode. 😃
In 2023, it makes perfect sense 👍
All Sport. All the time! 😂
Same thoughts here. Was thinking of trading in my '17 CRV touring for a '24 but simply not worth it.
One thing that is missing from the new CR-V is vertical lumbar support!
@@ryanmunson8961 One thing? Oh, there are many things missing.
No spare tire at that price is outrageous
One on list of about 30 things
Thanks, what about the Acura Integra A-Spec with Tech? Have you reviewed that one?
I had been driving a 2018 Honda CRV AWD gas only until the accident, and it was impeccable. After the accident, I tried to replace the 2024 Honda CRV. When I went to buy a car, I found that the EX-L was too expensive, and the interior and exterior looked very low-end and ugly. So I decided to give up and choose the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. 😂😂😂
I got the crv exl hybrid in canada and travel to florida from Brampton, 2000km and I spended 130$ on gas… best car ever, confortable and reliable
My goodness, that's probably cheaper than electric to be honest across the super charger network!
@@333KINGPIN33 it also depends of how u use the Battery mode, I try my best to use it as much so The car barely use the gas engine
It’s not just CRV and Civic that are expensive now Pilot, Odyssey, Passport and Accord have all seen massive price increases
So in other words they are ripping us off directly because they have cars available instead of having the dealers add market adjustments and fake appearance packages.
@@f181234 Yeah....I've owned and loved my Honda/ Acura products for yrs. But their prices are verging on ridiculous.
Car prices are far above the already ridiculous inflation rate
I really hope Honda Canada listens to this one. Kudos to the reviewers for honest feedback.
I personally prefer sedans at this point in time.
who would of thought you would have to be telling people, if you can afford a honda... crazy times we are living in
I like the boxy design and the Volvo tail lights. I am still skittish over the 1.5 after the oil dilution issues in colder climates.
Honda has been a HUGE disappointment in their recent lineups. The trim packaging and lack of features is just bonkers. I saw the new CR-V on the road and it was just utterly boring looking to me. I’ve said this about Honda and I will say it again, “You will pay more to get less.”
3:32 the jack of all trades, master of none!
A lot of those missing features are available in other markets around the world but for some reason they don’t choose to bring them here
I thought you’re gonna back off of your criticism on previous video on this but I’m glad you doubled down on it.
Just two years ago, you could get a base Acura RDX for $44,500. I have no regrets buying my 2023 RDX A spec Elite, so much value!
I’m right there with you, even though it has no hybrid the RDX is the better value and I’m very happy
I've owned 2 crvs and hell no to another if this is what they are doing with prices.
Decent CUV, the pricing has become ridiculous for this segment. I'd rather shop for a premium brand for $5k more.
Only in the advertising. Much different once you’re in the dealer.
Premium brand for only 5K more? more like 10K or 15K, fully loaded RDX is now around 55K, good luck getting one for 45K.
Honda and Toyota Both have gone absolutely crazy with their prices. They are super expensive here in the US as well. A sport hybrid here in the US is about $45K.
Stop over exaggerating, my cousin just bought one not too long ago at 37K out the door.
I still can't get my head around how are people thinking $42k for a basic compact SUV is a VALUE?
Might be a bit more pricey up front but in the long run , residual value , good resale value and reliability is a proven stat with Honda vs a cheaper alternative such as Kia and Hyundai . Remote start is also a great feature the sport in Canada comes standard with.
💯 went from a Civic to a Seltos and now heading back to Honda.
This!!!
1.5T 4 cylider reliable? From what I seen on youtube reviews, they are not, unless they addressed those issues
Honda used to be reliable. Those days are long gone.
My 4th CRV, and have had 2 civics. Reliability and resale value are key to me. Your Koreans can’t match either of those.
Like you said “Great vehicle” but missing the features and too pricey. 😢
Missing so many features that other competitors have, if this car has all the features that accord has plus a 360 camera, and rear door sensors, I would’ve bought it already.
Certainly been waiting for this one, super colour, fall's in the air and Zack looking frightened with all that power and torque Andrea 😮🎉
Lol! Poor Zack!
@@andreaspencer9813 I know Andrea lol
I have this car for 3 weeks and i absolutely love it! ❤
Anything new to report so far? What model do you have? Year?
Honda is no longer value option. It is expensive option 😂😂😂
When was Honda ever a value option?
and Honda's unwillingness to honour their warranty. My CRVs hatch started to rust at 35 000kms and Honda would not cover it. Honda said it was stone chips on the face of my hatch (3 of them), I typically don't drive down the road in reverse. I don't drive on gravel roads. It is clearly is not stone chips or any other external impact.
I wish they were still affordable 😢
That step down when the back seats are folded is a deal killer for me. Cannot go SUVing in it.
7-9” infotainment is lacking. I’m with ya Zack!
Would love an extended version of the CRV.
This CRV and the all-new Pilot both look like they could be 7-8 year old designs, inside and out.
Incorrect.
Your proof marijuana is legal in Canada😜 sooooo wrong
This car would've looked great back in 2007
It’s such an underwhelming product especially considering what the competition is offering these days.

Thank you great review! Could it be prices are higher here due to federal carbon taxes ...?
Great channel. I feel like I’m listening to the weather channel!
Just bought a 2024 Honda Crv EX. I cleaned the dashboard and it started flaking. Not the chemical or microfiber, its just the material they use now is weaker and even the dealer said it should only be wiped with water despite any product saying its safe for cars interiors.
Another missing feature is power folding exterior mirrors. Should be included in at least the top tier model.
I would stay away from the Hyundai brand. Many options and comfort but reliability is crap. Buyer beware.
I’ve had two Hyundais that were trouble free. I traded my 2020 CRV, which was far from trouble free for a Tucson Hybrid. Better car in so many ways!
Tucson has a real 6 speed trans too. I hated the CRV rubber band noisy trans.

I'm driving a 2024 Honda CRV - Hybrid Touring in Toronto Canada.
I just wish it was a panoramic and not a moonroof. Exterior how come the Hybrid and Touring word is soooo small to read 😩
I drove it on both city and highway so far so good no complaints yet.
It's a smooth drive 😉
IMHO, the CRV still lags behind in the market with no option for a fully digital instrument panel, 360 camera, pano roof, Homelink mirror, LED turn signals, ventilated seats, etc. Those are available on the RAV4.
Except that the RAV4 interior looks like it’s from the 90s and feels cheap even with that stuff.
No spare tire on Crv hybrid, my roadside assistance will not use the repair kit. They only covered replacing the tire with the spare tire. So I am going with Toyota.
Still can't fathom spending over 40 thousand dollars on a car that has such few outstanding features.

Not to mention the added features you guys get that are not available in the US…
Is that a honeycomb dash, or a dust collection system?
I’ll take a DCT or conventional torque converter automatic over a CVT any day of the week!
I like the CRV hybrid, but a hybrid vehicle without a spare tire gives range anxiety like an EV.
Go to the dealers at the END of the MONTH especially at the end of the YEAR.Thats when they are desperate to cut deals to hit their targets.
My parents got a 2024 EX-L Hybrid after our 2023 Sport got hit, and it's really well, get the hybrid if u do a lot of city driving
What about oil dilution problem? Only the 1.5 turbo had this problem!
This is the reason why i am still driving my old Honda Civic!
I have always wanted to buy a Honda CRV but the prices are just too high. Oh well lots of other suv type vehicles to choose from these days.
could you include the range on a tank of fuel when you give the stats? thank you. great content.
Looks awesome outside but that inside? The price? That's why I bought my Subaru. Can't believe Subaru didn't make the final 4 options. Do you know what you can get it a Touring model?
Our Canadian Dollar is pretty terrible right now I’m sure that adds to the price increase in Canada.

I like the crv , I used 2018 model sold last April 165k kilometres no problems. But the engine is to slow now own a atlas v6 so happy
I'll never buy a Hyundai/KIA the way they treated USA buyers over the KIA Boyz USB hack. This doesn't have as much interior bling and features, but it'll last way longer than the Korean cars and much better resale value (Bank of Honda and Toyota pays dividends).
My next car absolutely has to have a 360 camera so I will wait because I also love my present crv hybrid in every other way.
With the US FX rate at 1.37 you’ll find the top trim is actually $2000 lower in Canada.
