cools seats are whatever and panoramic roof would be nice but i have a sunroof on my civic that i literally never use. 12.3 touchscreen would be nice tho
I bought this car in silver and this is my first Hybrid. I got the sport touring hybrid and I love it, I’ve had it 2 weeks. The backing up sounds is taking some time on getting use to that, it’s a loud mechanical sound but other than having up you’d be hard pressed to find another great car like this, super fun to drive and very comfortable.
I also bought a 2025 CRV Hybrid Touring in solar silver. I really love the car! I traded in a 2016 Accord V6 Touring & this is so much more comfortable & drives a lot better.
I got it 1 month ago to uber and now I"m stuck with it. Can't uber because I can't see when the road are wet and dark outside. The headlights are good when the road are dry and dark outside but suicidal when it's rainy. Here is my dashcam driving in the rain: ua-cam.com/video/FP7LAkcq8x0/v-deo.html
Still feel like this car is missing stuff. Ventilated seats, digital rear view, better cameras, panoramic roof maybe, a spare tire to name a few. Infotainment and gauge setup Is getting left behind by competition but not the worst
@Raiti’s Rides: you nailed this one Joe. Big misses on a $42k vehicle; painted flares, no ventilated front seats, fake exhaust tip, front chrome rings. All need improvement. Nice work sir.
The usual great job, Mr. Raiti...although at my age, I don't have to worry as much about my 'family jewels.' I have a 2023 Sport Touring trim, which is identical except it was around 40k back then, in that gorgeous extra cost brighter metallic blue. For others in the market, the Sport Touring has a substantial price differential with the Sport...not sure about the smaller differential with the Sport-L, which didn't exist in 2023. The Sport Touring has some exclusive features compared, at least to the Sport. Navigation, AWD, Bose 12 speaker system...best ever in a Honda, heated steering wheel, nicer glossy trim than "lesser" CRVs inside, acoustic glass and wheel sound treatment exclusive to the Sport Touring (I test drove both, and you can tell the difference in refinement), standard AWD (also on Sport-L). I'm exceeding EPA urban cycle numbers in warm weather (often 41-44 mpg) and averaging the advertised 37 mpg in mixed driving...numbers are lower in cold weather. Body roll is minimal, braking feels excellent, offline torque is snappy! Passing power on level roads more than adequate, haven't tried much on uphill grades, hearing mixed reviews on the latter. As in all CRVs, seat height is PERFECT for arthritic knees. (I'd leased 7 previous high-end Accords, including the 2020 Touring edition, and the low seating getting in and out was a little ouch-y. The Touring CRV is slowER, but it's not slow. With 500 extra pounds and AWD, there's a mileage penalty compared to the Touring Accord, but living outside of Buffalo, I like having AWD. It seemed to work well in our only really wintry week last January.) FLAWS: I miss the HUD and, being King of Lost, the always-present compass. Vented seats? No big deal. Even on economy mode, the CRV AC cools beautifully. Sirius/XM drops out more frequently than it did in my Accords, and it's not just blocked signal horizon...haven't mentioned to my excellent dealer. Slight rattle every once in a while inside the left dash...not worth disassembling the dash when it hardly shows up. No fog lights? I don't care. They looked nice on my previous Touring Accord, but with the wide LED headlights (better on the CRV than in my last Accord), I noticed the fog lights on the Accord were absolutely superfluous. Sitting in my driveway, they made no difference on or off. The 2 new recalls on the steering box and fuel pump are a little worrisome though, so far, I have no symptoms. Other than these flaws, this is the most refined Honda I've leased, though I''m sure the Touring Accord would be just as refined and a little faster. At my age, I always leave all Honda Sensing switched on, and its occasional intrusiveness is worth it for safety (Less intrusive than in a Subaru Legacy I test drove). Adaptive cruise radar occasionally gets fooled by car in adjacent lane on a curve, but better than in my previous Accord. 10.1k miles...STILL look forward to every drive, and still feels like new.
I do these long comments only to cover a few extra matters not necessarily covered in your already comprehensive reviews...you're the best (and the most fun)! :D
About a month ago I bought this exact same CRV in platinum white with the two-tone interior. I love the two-tone interior vs all black, but something a little strange is the headrest has white stitching and the seats, door arm rest, and steering wheel have orange stitching. Personally, I would have preferred the white stitching everywhere. The back up camera is a major zonk and does not compete with its' class, also no spare tire is pretty disappointing. However, the pros (handling, exterior styling, comfort, interior space) definitely out way the cons.
love your videos, Joe. My son sometimes does his own impressions of your intros. He also wanted to know if you'll be at the 2024 LA auto show. Will you be there?
Very nice ride for sure but I agree the fenders would look way better body colored but a beauty nevertheless. Great review Joe and always a pleasure to watch 👍🏼 It was another fine job on the camera work as well Steve . Very thorough review Joe 👌
Got the 2024 Sport L CRV last year which is very close to this one. You overlooked a couple of things. I had to spend $500 for a spare tire kit (which does stand nicely behind the cargo cover mechanism). The inflator kit is useless for our desert sidewall blowouts and I don't want to be towed, so now Honda Roadside team can at least change my tire. RAV 4 Hybrid provides one; same policy with Accord and Honda hybrids. Interestingly, Honda does provide a space for the compact spare in the Accord, but too cheap to put a spare in. The mechanical AWD system would be a dealbreaker for me, but here in the desert we don't use AWD much anyway and is often special order at some dealers. Some minor irritants. Honda cut the engine temp gauge that I had on my 2020 CRV (Toyota still uses them), and I wish they would have integrated the touchscreen nicely into the dash like you see on other SUVs. Overall, though, I am getting 45 mpg though in our hot summers, it goes below 40 as A/C takes a bit on fuel efficiency. Thanks for the good review.
I bought a 2024 Honda cr v hybrid from Wallingford Honda dealer. First I gave $10,000. I have paid the monthly payments ahead of time. There have been problems since the first month I bought the car. They replaced most of the car, problems still persist. they told me that the car is new, but there are places where paint was applied to the door of the car. the car's engine is low on oil and the dealer says this is normal. every time they go, they add oil to the engine. The last time the general manager told me I can get the car back from you but you have to pay us $2000. I have a report on these listed issues. don't buy this car. I am sure you will regret it after buying it
You need to explain in more detail what is wrong with your vehicle besides the paint issue? The engine, the hybrid system, the transmission, the awd system, the suspension, the electronics???? It sounds like you got a lemon and I would be looking into your states laws regarding this.
Was thinking of getting this exact car tomorrow; however my 2022 Accord Touring has cool seats, Heads up Display, and ofc a spare tire. I’m so confused now 🤦♀️ kind of feel like keeping my accord
Joe, great overall Review including the POV ride. 2 Features I think are immediately evident... Honda should have included a Power Steering wheel adjustment and Ventilated Seats. Honda's really do Hold Their values - probably the best in the business. The wife has a 16 CRV Touring with 49K miles on it - completely Trouble Free for 8 Years. It is a Chic Car, however, it does what it is intended for very Well. I like the new 24 , 25 (they are basically the same). FWIW, We have been getting 29-31 MPGs on the Highway for years. Mixed driving Suburbia 80% and Highway 20% in general, we get about 22.5 to 23 MPGs . The new InfoT. system is greatly improved, more size and room, and of course up to date Safety systems over our 16. But does that justify spending $42K (less about $15K for ours) to trade up. Maybe?. Based on the Honda 2.4L engine history, with 49K miles on it, it's just about Broken In.
I was also a college sophomore in 1997, and I think that the engine in the original CR-V was also 2.0 L, but you could get it with a 5 speed manual and wring the hibbidy jibbity out of that 120 pony engine. All the men thought they were too “cute ute,” and then, over time, most people figured out that the high roof line and storage, the AWD, were all very practical in comparison to that Ford Taurus your Uncle would never sell that ate gasoline and spat repair bills. Most reviewers compared the CR-V to the Isuzu Rodeo, the Geo Tracker/Suzuki Vitara, the X-90, the Daihatsu Rocky, and some piece of convertible filth from Toyota I can’t remember the name of. Things were so much simpler with a skipping Discman playing Red Hot Chili Peppers, eating Kenny Rodgers’ Roasters chicken and a Planet Hollywood cheeseburger in the armrest.
Just ordered mine in the white. Was just waiting for your review. Thanks Joe. Don't like black wheel wells...should be (team) painted and missing fog lights.
@@RaitisRides Nothing a wrap can't fix- I changed both of these (and the rear lettering/rear exhausts, too) to all black. Changes the look of the car for sure 💪

All those lower trim pieces and fender arches come paint matched when you buy one of these in Europe. It makes it 20x better looking. They skimped out on this on the U.S. models and it completely cheapens the whole look of the vehicle.
It makes ZERO sense that the behind the wheel display isn't the full 10in display that even the touring CIVIC got. What in the world was Honda thinking on that choice?
U serious? Honda just admitted to the issue with the stiff tight steering. It'll be years to replace all of them. People are scheduling appointments, and parts are being delivered. It's going to be a lot of servicing
My friend just bought one and the openning alert sound is the beginning notes to the song: The One That You Love by Air Supply! My wife and I start singing the song and my friend didnt get it.
Love your thorough and practical reviews Joe! I think it is an excellent SUV but I prefer eAWD over mechanical as the electric AWD involves next to nothing breakable so timeless system. I think Toyota did a genius move there.
Hoping that when they fully redesign this for 2027, the DRL/LEDs are improved, it gets more luxurious features, and that all the Honda lineup doesn’t have the same interior design layout.
I bought one, you didn't mention no spare tire, just a can of fix o flat. Not going to help you if the tire blows. Had to buy an after market which takes up the trunk area. Shoulder harness rubs my neck, yes I have adjusted it. Guess I'm different, not loving it.
In warm weather, when I top off my tank it shows 480-495 miles range, consistently. I guess the tested model here had done some miles before the taping.
Love the white paint and white accents inside. Some of the tech stuff I can get over coming from a pretty old car. Only thing I wish it had was vented seats! If I ever get this car the only thing I’d probably do is blackout wrapping on all of the chrome accents on the exterior. Chrome is out on these types of cars, manufacturers need to stop doing it. There’s a chrome delete package for the 2025 model on Amazon.
Let Mr. UBER Rider tell you. Ive taken 3 new Honda CRV Hybrids..and i must say the entire vehicle drives and is designed wayyyy better than the Rav 4. Hands down. I was so comfortable in that CRV. And its quick as hell.
I prefer black wheels or matte Grey , just got my wife a cx5 carbon fiber edition with black wheels just prefer that over two tones or silver these days. We considered this but for the money and look we decided to Mazda
We need a new rule for car manufacturers where if they're charging more than $30K for something, it needs to have heated seats, heated steering wheel, ventilated seats, and a 360 camera.
My only concern is, Mr. Raiti: why does the new Honda CR-V's orange reflectors do not light up? And why does the rear turn signals use old bulbs rather than LEDs?
Hi, the real OG compact crossover/SUV had been the VW Golf Country. On this idea Toyota developed the RAV 4. So the germans invented an other new car category!
Yesterday, I discovered that there was a car that was similar to this was crashed in an LA Freeway at 120 mph during a cop chase. I felt bad to the owner of that car.
Ford Escape is all Asian car brands inspiration. The entire interior lay out gives Ford Escape. Which is totally ok. I just wish ppl realized over sea brands have to have an American brand precedent to go off of. .....example Nissan Large Suvs comapred to GMCs means they literally decided to emualte some type of design elements.
Another great review from the master of telling it like it is with some twisty bits of humor interjected as only he can! Joe and the crew continue to bring it with gusto, each and every time. I agree completely that the black around the wheels/fender area should be painted to match the body and the chrome trim would have looked much sharper in black. I don't get how Honda drops the ball with these odd decisions they make. That fake exhaust port out back is another example of "what were they thinking?"
The dashboard is a fail(Zonk). Half digital and half analog Otherwise it's a nice car. My 2022 Sport Touring civic has the new generation instrument cluster and this model was released in 2023. Every other country has the new gen instrument cluster and they will put it in the CRV on the 26 refresh.
I bought this car in august 2024 , and I completed 2800 miles on it . Fun to ride 😊

Hi Joe in regards to the CRV, i live in Trinidad 🇹🇹 in the Caribbean and our model comes with the led fog lights
Where are they imported from?
How about ventilated front seats? Is that offered in the top trim?
Wish the offered a rugged package version of the hybrid, for a small price change like Toyota does.
A lot of people don’t know where the name CRV derived from.
Civic
Recreational
Vehicle
No wonder why 80% of the interior is like my 2022 civic ex
That’s so very tight! Thanks for sharing that!
@@samandrade9854very good observation
Comfortable reliable vehicle...
CRV: California Redemption Value
Why are we removing Fog lights. In Florida there’s insane fog at night and in the morning near the rivers/ lakes
Please please please do the Hybrid Civic hatchback sport touring!!
Happy Friday buddy, great review as always 🦾
Actually, the Mazda CX-50 is now available as a hybrid, with the Toyota RAV4 system.
Looking forward to the RR review/compo with the CR-V!
Honda philosophy: Touchbscreen in CRV, irritating trackpad in Acura RDX.
I always prefer painted wheel trim however in a grocery getter like this it means no dings from car doors if it gets whacked.
Another great review but nothing new for ‘25 for the CRV is disappointing
Such a glorious history, the legendary CR-Vs of Le Mans. I have the ‘23 hybrid.
I love what you did there
Toyota has a new Rav4 Hybrid coming out next year.
It COULD be announced at next month's LA Auto Show
This month?
La mejor en su segmento.
Maybe we see a fully digital dash display when Honda refreshes the CR-V for 2026 (if they refresh it).
Like The Honda CR-V Sport👍🏻👌🏻🏁🚙💨!
The Honda CRV is one of the most sensible choices, but the Hyundai Tuscan hybrid holds my attention for overall style and value.
is that the one from Italy?
Everyone has their favorites
@@remyd8767I see what you did there 😂
But which one would you finance
Good luck with the junk hyundai
Front end got a bit of a change but the rear and the interior is the same as before, but regardless, i still like the CR-V!
I dont like the rear
What are you comparing to?
We need that Cx50 hybrid review ASAP!!
Amen brother! CX50 hybrid game changer.
Awesome car for my grandma 😊
Viva the CR-V!
Joe said Thomas Edison bulb for the indicator 😂😂😂
Yesterday, I discovered that there was a car that was similar to this was crashed in an LA Freeway at 120 mph during a cop chase. I felt bad to the owner of that car.
totally unnecessary info lol
how many little debbies brownies fit on the side of the door cubbies?
Ford Escape is all Asian car brands inspiration. The entire interior lay out gives Ford Escape. Which is totally ok. I just wish ppl realized over sea brands have to have an American brand precedent to go off of. .....example Nissan Large Suvs comapred to GMCs means they literally decided to emualte some type of design elements.
Recalls on this car already?
Waiting to see how the new Mazda CX50 Hybrid & Subaru Forester Hybrids do.
Ive yet to ride in a Mid Size Compact SuV that drove better tban the new Ford Escape. Best feeling steering and power delivery ive driven in.
Is this in the current accords? I hope it does change for 2026
@@lionintu the accord has the new generation dashboard and was updated since 2024.
no ventilated seats was a show stopper for me 😞
Lot of road noise and gear shifter gets very hard after couple of years.
Just got recalled
