@@jpm1544 yes absolutely. Honda rarely fixes issues that are requiring a major redesign. See their 6 speed issues and all the early 00s transmissions that blew up prematurely. Unless they replace the 1.5, I suspect it will always be an issue

I purchased this same trim, coming from owning BMWs for years and sick of the cost of ownership and reliability issues. Yes, this is not a BMW, not even close in terms of the driving dynamics. However, the trade off to me is worth it. Mark nailed it-this just does everything well as a practical vehicle. Super happy with it.
As someone who currently owns a BMW, and is looking at buying a $1500 clutch with the possibility of also needing to buy a $1500 dual-mass flywheel, it's heartening to hear that reliability and practicality can make up for the lack of driving excitement. I'm closer to 40 than I am to 30 now, so the CR-V seems like an intelligent reverse-midlife-crisis vehicle.
This is my dilemma. I went from VW to BMW to Alfa Romeo and if experience is anything, I know repairs are going to get out of hand now that my Stelvio is 5 years old. I’m 55 but i still like my fun drivers cars but i also know i need to be able to fit my three dogs and my stuff in a quiet , comfortable and reliable pseudo wagon.
I had a 2017 CRV then I bought the Sport Touring in May. It's feels like a class above the last gen. It does everything i ask it to. I avg, 36-40 in city driving. Took 2 back-to-back 500 miles trips shortly after purchase and got 28 mpg w/ the cruise set at 80. Seats are great for an all-day trip. No need to have any reservations about your purchase.
Also have a paid off 2017. 50k miles, zero problems, put michelins on it for grip and noise... seriously considering the sport touring though. I want the bose system. Stereo js Definitely the biggest problem with my exl today. Love the unique design of this hybrid system and the fact it's a few generations on.
Traded our 2026 in yesterday purcahsed a CRV 2024, LEATHER SEATS!!!!! Blue color, Midnight pearl, UNREAL, 2x';s the 2016 model. Completely above the 2016. A car for a lifetime.
Honda's current design language is on point imo. Cars (including previous year Hondas) have gotten too busy and aggressive looking for my taste lately. It's nice to see Honda pull back and make more clean, understated but nice looking vehicles again.
This is just about the best “daily” for a sports car owner. Keep the princess in the garage and stack the miles, kids, fast food stops, dogs, and everything else into one of these.
@@s4nder86Toyota rav4 is where any thought you had of driving being fun, as in the vehicle should be fun, goes to die. Crv isn’t the epitome of fun driving either, but Honda at least makes the thing feel good. The rav4 felt disgusting when I test drove it. Both cars do what they’re supposed to do though, and very well: get you from point A to B, good fuel economy, and reliable
Make sure you test drive one before buying. I test drove a CRV Sport L Hybrid a few weeks ago. After sitting inside, I realized how dark the interior was. The seats, pillars and ceiling are all black and you have no other interior color option unless you have the highest trim (Sport Touring) which offers a gray interior. At that point the vehicle is well above $40k. Personally I felt claustrophobic and depressed. The videos can’t fully convey what I felt. Again, that’s just my personal observation.
I test drove a CR-V Sport L Hybrid a few weeks ago and didn't noticed how dark the interior was until I sat inside. The seats, side posts and ceiling are all black. It made me feel a bit claustrophobic and depressed. You have to get the highest trim, (the Sport Touring), before having the option of a gray interior. At that point, the car is well over $40K. Imagine how you would feel if your living room floors, walls and ceiling were all painted black! That's what I felt. Oddly enough, the videos can't fully convey this.
Don’t just listen to the hype of yesterday. I’ve owned 5. They all had their issues like peeling paint or air compressors breaking after warranty and so much more.
Currently own a 3-series and this CRV Hybrid. There is nothing wrong with carving corners on Monday and being blissfully transported on Tuesday. Sometimes you want a spa experience over Gran Turismo. It's an excellent vehicle... perfectly and luxuriantly numb. When I need to plan my day-CRV. When I want to escape my day-BMW. Both have their benefits.
I love your philosophy. I'm trying to emulate it a bit. I have a bulletproof 2013 Acura TSX Wagon with less than 100K and an Integra Type S on order. I hope I make it!
Uhhhh, the 3 series is one of the best cruisers for the city and highway imaginable. Quiet, fast, easy to park, good mileage (the new ones anyways), good handling, RWD and decent space (far more than decent if you have a wagon). It has everything. I'd suggest a sunday car should be something that is truly fun and probably very impractical: S2000, Hellcat/Horsepower car, old Jeep with no roof, vintage muscle, motorbike, RX7, MGB or something in that vein. Of course maybe your 3 series is modded track car or something, but most 3ers are the perfect commuter cars.
I honestly will say the 2023-24 remodel looks so darn good compared to my 2021. I bought this car to be boring on purpose. I was tired if driving cramped, severely under powered compact sedans/ hatchbacks. Im 29 no spouse or kids. I just wanted comfort because I'm basically an old soul. I wanted room for friends/ and family, room for road trips, room for the occasional Ikea run. It completes my basic average lifestyle without breaking budget and for that I absolutely love Honda for this vehicle.
Bought the 23 sport touring 6 months ago, 12k miles later it's been a good car so far. It does everything well and shoots above it's class with refinement. Feels like a German vehicle on the inside.
Picked one up for my mother earlier this year. Best parts for me are the good blend of power/economy, rear cargo space, and simple interior design. CVT will always be odd for me personally, but as a daily it checks all the boxes of getting from A to B with content.
I bought nearly the identical model to the one you guys have, about a month ago. Have 3100 miles on it. My job requires me to drive about a thousand miles a week so I spend an inordinate amount of time driving and I have to say, between the seat and the driver assist features, the miles just melt away. So effortless to drive hundreds of miles a day. The sport mode can be a legit amount of fun and livens up an otherwise sedate driving experience. I’ve seen up to 45 MPG and I get about 500 miles to a tank. Filled up my tank with the gauge cluster telling me I had 5 miles left to go; only put a bit over 12 gallons in it (14 gal tank) so I still had over 60 miles of range. Could push a tank to 550 I think without much issue. Great vehicle that I will be keeping for the next several years
Thanks for sharing. I commute from PA to NYC once a month. This sounds perfect, still fits in the city, the seat and the drive train and the bose system definitely are desirable for 40k.
Love my 2024 crv sport hybrid. As a commuter of 25-30k miles every year this is a perfect appliance. No it’s not the Type R, it’s not trying to be. Just get in, get where you’re going with all your stuff and don’t worry about it. Great review guys!
13k on my ‘23 Sport Touring. Their description is spot on. Not exciting, but I like getting in it every day. Best seat I’ve had in years. Smooth, quiet, economical, reasonable driving experience. I can’t imagine not having one of these. One beef: Bugs are really tough to get out of the plasticky nooks and crannies on the front end.
Love your channel and yes I bought the sport touring. I actually love it and think it's pretty fun to drive as long as you realize it's not a racecar. Plus great mpg for an SUV.
For someone like my wife, who will be looking to move on from her 2015 CRV, this is perfect. It's nicer, more refined with a better interior, and I'm sure she'll love it as much as her 2015. She loves her 2015, and with 100k on the clock, it drives like new. For a daily, we're big fans of Honda. No need to be "sporty" or edgy, just comfortable, reliable, competent transportation that doesn't break the bank.
My mom had the 2019 and I didn’t like it but We did try the 2023 and I love it , I actually changed 3 times, 1-2019 touring -2023 sport 2- 2023 sport - 2023 exl and the last change I am doing is 2023 EXL for the EXL 2024 hybrid
CRV used to be considered compact (with HRV being subcompact). not sure when it became midsized, though not surprising since everything is growing in size (including people)
I’m right there with you. I’m tired of reviewers calling these cars compact. Idk when the definition changed but these aren’t what I think of when I hear the word
We have this car (Sport Touring Hybrid). Tried it against the RAV4 and the Pilot. The only thing I don’t like is the asynchronous engine revving. Otherwise, it’s super comfortable and my family of 5 prefers it for shorter trips.
As an 11th Gen Civic owner, I 100% agree with this. The current Honda lineup is excellent, it's not the most exciting, but it's really refined and well thought out.
The rear of the new CRV looks a lot like a cat. Maybe they thought that if the turn signals were LED then they would look too much like a cat eyeing down the Kia Soul behind it, and that’s too much for Honda.
How do you replace the led strips? I thought they were suppose to last nearly forever but seen many modern cars who leds are out. Seems rather expensive to fix. Cars just seem to forget that have to be around for 20+ years
For the last week every morning I see a brand spanking new crv get on the freeway at like 5am without its lights on (it's pretty dark out), just has the running lights lighting the road in front of it. Good times.
I got a certified used 2018 CRV recently and one thing I noticed is that the auto headlights don't come on until it's quite dark. My 2005 Mercedes is generally an hour earlier to come on in the evenings.
I had a 2020 QX50 company vehicle and switched over to one of these in May. It’s a lot more refined compared to the Infiniti, which is a class above this.
As a car guy, who had everything from 427 big block to turbo 4 Japanese sports car to bi turbo v6 german and no longer into cars, I can see the appeal of this and Toyota equivalent. I’m in the stage of life where I don’t give a fuck about what I drive nor have the time to spend around cars. This seems like a perfect tool to get me to places so I can do things that matters.
I don't even care that much about this CR-V tbh. What I really want is for Honda to either make a 1.5T or 2.0 Hybrid HR-V. That vehicle is "just right" sized and looks amazing. It's just completely nerfed by its sole 2.0L NA engine option.
this hybrid powertrain is completely new in the Accord and CRV this year. Quite a test market to gamble with. Assuming no major issues I would expect same design but maybe slightly smaller engine to be in Civic & HRV soon (notice no Civic Hybrid or Insight right now ?!?) and probably a larger engine version for Pilot/Ridgeline/Odyssey soon also.
I agree also add lumbar support, I bought a vw Taos over it due to how slow they are and no lumbar and certain other features. Plus no cvt to worry about. The 1.5t would have been wonderful in it or atleast in a sport trim, something.
Just brought ours home this past Monday, and this review helped give me confidence that we were making a good choice in a sea of options. We couldn't find fault with it and it's good to know that you guys didn't either.
Big time Honda fan boy. I have owned a Civic, Accord's, Odyssey and CRV'S over the years all new. We still have our 2017 CRV touring. Last April we purchased a 2023 CRV Sport Hybrid. It is definitely a step up from the 2017. I have only one gripe that i wont let Honda off the hook for. In 2022 they did not include a spare tire when retrofitting the 5th gen Honda to a Hybrid saying they couldn't fit it in because it was the older platform. Now, with a total redesigned 6th generation vehicle they still did not include a spare. LOVE the car, but if Toyota can put a spare tire in a Hybrid, so can you Honda. See ya on the road. 😊
I felt the same way. I sat in one I wasn’t excited or thrilled but thought very practical. I also didn’t feel crammed in there and great cargo space with some adaptability. Wasn’t thrilled hybrid has no spare tire but they said the run flat was good. I’m still shopping but for the price point, this is what I’ll most likely get. I can’t justify buying a more exciting suv for double the price when they’ll both last same amount of time. I tend to drive my cars as long as I can. I have a 20 year old Honda Element with 300k mileage and still runs like new with some little quirks that come with age and mileage. I’m use to practical, adaptable, and space with good gas mileage.
I like the exterior far better than any previous CRV. The boxier shape would make me less embarrassed to be seen driving this. If I just needed a boring reliable hauler for a family of 4, I think this would be near top of the list.
I’ve owned several generations of CRV’s & sometimes the new iteration loses features: 1. No spare tire (in an SUV?) All the CRVs I have owned had flat tires at some point in time. It was ALWAYS lifesaving to have a spare. 2. No self folding rear seats- my 2012 CRV can self fold the rear seats at the pull of a handle. This was great! 3. No fog lights- I have also found this useful in getting less tunnel vision in areas that were dark, with no street lights. It’s useful seeing where the edge of the road is, a safety issue. 4. No Honda picnic table- It was just so cool to whip that out that made people’s eyes large- a surprise wow factor. Evolution is not a straight line. Sort of like Microsoft products.
Really enjoy your engineering breakdown. Your the only folks that do that and in most reviews by others it is missing especially on the safety front. As an owner of a 23 CR-V 1.5 I can agree with your overall review. Honda still seems to be skimping on certain features on top trims. 360 camera pano roof
I never really understood why some people replace their Hondas, Toyotas, (and a few other reliable A to B brands/models) frequently. The whole point of cars like this is to make them last as long as possible with minimal time, fuss, and expense. Keep that 2009 as long as you are happy with it, it is reliable, and meets your needs!
@@ryannatividad3137 Safety. Older cars hold up far worse than modern cars. I feel really unsafe with a 10+ year old car, since there are so many 5000lbs+ pickups and EVs on the road
Every time I see one of these, there's a mom behind the wheel. It's like the new minivan. Always going under the speed limit. Driving like there's kids in back.
Absolutely love my 2024 CRV Hybrid Touring. It rides like a dream and is so comfy. Test drove a 2019 Rav4 and didn't like it at all. My husband had to squeeze into the drivers seat and still had the steering wheel right on top of him. Drove the CRV and loved it immediately.
perfectly normal vehicle. the kind that will get u from Monday to Friday with the least hassle and just be as transparent as it possibly could. i like it.

reviews are always about fun, power, handling, as if the roads were winding and if they were, the speed limit ruins it all. in reality all we need for our boring commute is a car that is, comfortable, economical, cheap to maintain, reliable.
I just switched from a Toyota Prius, one of the most reliable cars out there, to an Outback. WAY more personality... Really happy with it! But already had to have the sunroof checked for strange noises. Hopefully that's not a sign of problems to come...
@@minnybiker4505Guess you'll either learn to live with it or it'll hopefully settled down with some sun exposure. Very odd how those early rattles settle after a good few days in serious heat.
Last year I needed a new family car in a hurry (to go with my freshly birthed baby daughter), and ended up going with this CR-V hybrid just because it was so obvious and was getting good reviews. I didn't expect to end up *liking* it, but it turns out to be a fantastic car that I have zero regrets or even minor complaints about. You really hit the nail on the head here.
I really enjoy your channel, this is like the first video of yours I’ve watched. You stand out from other personalities because you give me the impression you don’t have one, in the best way possible.
I test drove one of these last month and I was surprised by how smooth it was compared to my 2020 Acura RDX with it's 10 speed auto... I really liked it. I just can't get over the fact that everyone and their mom has one. I want better gas mileage but don't want to be an NPC. It felt like an Acura compared to my 2013 Honda CRV I had before the RDX.
I care a LOT about driving, have been in Hondas and Acuras for 40 years, as well as Audi, BMW, and Porsche. My wife just bought a CR-V Sport Hybrid, replacing the TSX wagon we'd been driving for over 10 years, and she is very happy and I love driving it. We were originally (in the winter in WI) getting mid-30's mpg and were disappointed. Over the summer it's been mid-40's mpg and we are no longer disappointed. You have to clear your mind of typical motoring preconceptions when you drive the CR-V hybrid. There is no connection between engine speed and road speed, and if you can let that go and just focus on enjoying getting from point A to point B, it works very well.
Just got a 2024 a few days ago, Sport Touring. I love it, I would never buy a Honda previously, but now they look so much better. I really want to drive again using this car, mostly to maximize MPG. Gone are the days of having fun driving my old 98 Viper GTS, can't have fun in that crap anymore with all the idiots on the road.
I agree with everything except its really expensive for what it is. It doesn't have ventilated seats, panoramic sunroof, 360 degree cameras, 12.3in screens, etc? I personally think the last generation was much better for the price. The CRV has the most expensive base msrp but also doesnt have much features in the top trims.
We aren't living in the 1900s anymore, I can't believe these uneducated Post I see here online, I guess you Haven't seen the price's of everything going up Have you? I just don't get it, Because everything I have to buy Now is at least 20 to 30% higher in price over 10 years ago, And by the way is still getting worse now that Regular gasoline is almost $4.00.00 a Gallon and even higher in Canada by the liter, Where too much of our gasoline comes from here in the Northern States, This is only the beginning. 📈 As a Diesel Mechanic everything worth buying like tools erc has gone WAY UP, I'm talking anything high Quality not Garbage from China now that crap is even over priced now in many cases, Just look at the price of a High end Jeep now $70,000.00+ dosen't get you much, It definitely in most cases dosen't get 40+ mpg not even close because of it's tow ratings it can't be better..any...higher.
Well they made the Accord much worse without that 2.0t so I honestly think this CRV is going to be my next big move since I’m a new dad. Nothing else to look forward to around $35-40k mark
But you can get the Accord with the same hybrid set up as the CR-V, and it handles better and still can haul a ton of stuff in its trunk. The Accord is still a great option.
You can still find the 2.0T Accords for sale. Or even lightly used. I'd definitely go with one of those. The K20C3 engines are awesome, and will last you forever. The transmission options were great too, you could get it with either a 6-Speed manual, or a proper automatic...none of the CVT nonsense. Plenty of space, drive great, and cheap to maintain.
Get a hatchback Civic or Mazda 3. More fuel efficient, fun to drive, cheaper to maintain, easier to park, better looking, cheaper to insure, and you get the great benefit of not being a road NPC.
Remember when they were doing the plasti-wood trim and the journalists were bashing them? They responded with something more modern and gave the consumer plasti-piano trim.
We’ve owned four Hondas, but I switched to a Mazda with my last purchase and will never look back. Mazda’s have good reliability, a better fit and feel inside, and better driving dynamics. The one drawback is that they don’t have as good a resale value. But, my last two Hondas had paint problems that really tanked their resale value, so that events things out for me.
Does the hybrid Atkinson 2.0L engine have the direct injection only without the port ingestion? If this is the case, it will have carbon build up and very difficult to decarbonise the intake valves.
@@mtnman1984Yes, I am aware. My point is still valid that it's concerning. I much prefer the model being developed in the home country of the manufacturer. Look at what Honda has done with the BR-V, WR-V and all those models developed outside Japan.
@@benoit.b9337 you haven't made a point. You're essentially "JAQing off" (just asking questions). I don't know what your concern is. You first said that you were concerned with the car not being built in Japan. If that was your reason for concern, you're going to have a hard time with the entire lineup because only some versions of the HR-V and Civic are built in Japan. The rest are built in North America. Then you said "developed". The US pretty much has had its own Honda lineup for years. In other words, the Honda cars sold here are, for the most part, developed here. So what's your concern?
Spoken like a true beta. Are you gonna pay the extra costs to ship it from Japan. Are you find it 'concerning' that it would th3n make the price tag jump several more thousand dollars. It's a damn Honda they're well made and designed. It's not the 70s.
Benoit, Honda has built Accords in Marysville, Ohio ever since 1984! I think you can rest assured the quality from Marysville will continue to be top-notch. It’s all about their central corporate philosophy and how they train their people. Contrast that with Nissan JATCO CVT’s which were designed in Japan whose first generation transmissions have been really bad. I own a 2013 Maxima with the 2nd gen JATCO CVT. No problems so far at 70K miles, but still a bit worried as it ages.
Having actual buttons is a must for a vehicle. You need to just feel the button and use it. Keeping your eyes on the road. Always a plus. Just negative is the hybrid battery takes out a spare tire. This can be remedied, but that’s extra money. The US model doesn’t have fog lights but the European models do. The US has blanks in the bumper and Unser buttons next to the steering wheel so they can be added. But again more money. Only two negatives really on an otherwise impressive vehicle.
I know manufacturers are bent on sending absolutely loaded vehicles as media testers, but it's always good to remember the low end of the spectrum. You guys occasionally do a good job of suggesting those. The CR-V LX FWD starts at $29,500; $30,825 after destination. It seems like a lot of car for that price. I wonder if a Car and Driver style "which trim to buy" blurb would be a good thing to have on videos of these commodity cars that are offered in several trims.
In the CR-V EX for the conventional gas engine, Sport for the Hybrid. Both get power adjustable, heated, cloth seats, and a sunroof. With no ventilated seats available on the higher trims with leather, I'd stay with the cooler cloth seats for summer. AFAIK a dealer installed Honda heated steering wheel can be added for about $500. Honda needs to ditch the Touring trim across the board and just bump everything up to Elite when you go above EX-L / Sport-L.
If at all possible, I think bumping up the budget to the hybrid sport (the base sport) would be the best value if you drive enough miles yearly and plan to keep the car a long time. Depending on fuel prices in your area, the MPG would make up for it. Also, the additional features and slightly sportier looks are a decent value all things considered.
I like Honda's newest cars. They may all sort of be the same inside but the exteriors are now streamlined and better looking. Seems refinement is up. I think the next RAV 4 will match the CRV for refinement as the RAV 4 is the old platform now.
I'm quite surprised that the top-trim doesn't have a 360 camera nor ventilated seats. The previous-gen RAV4 had a 360 camera, and that was a driving factor in why we got it over the CRV.
Euro market gets 360 camera, ventilated seats, heads up display, adaptive headlights, parking assist, push button gear selector, power folding and reverse dipping mirrors. Asia market also has active cornering lamps in the headlight housings, led fog lamps front and rear, fully digital driver information screen (we have only half). That's a lot of corner cutting by Honda in a $40k US vehicle just because Acura exists...
I have been considering upgrading my Civic for the new CRV only because of ride height and AWD (Winter concerns) and you guys are right. It's very quiet compared to the civic, very nice ride, but it's insanely boring. That being said it checks all the boxes for what I need, not what I want.
Yea but you can haul a ton of stuff with this or even camp in it say on a long fishing trip or something and if you take passengers in this vehicle they'll really appreciate the spaciousness of the back row.. With 500+ miles of range on a single tank, for a vehicle of this size, its the perfect vehicle imo.
Make sure you test drive one before buying. I test drove a CRV Sport L Hybrid a few weeks ago. After sitting inside, I realized how dark the interior was. @@jeschr3462 True. My light gray cloth seats show water stains horribly. It’s not such an issue if the seats are black with a light colored ceiling. Many cars have that two tone interior where the posts and ceiling are light grays. Wish Honda would have done at least that.
@@Josh-yr7gd I'm sure you can easily get that replace with customized auto upholstery services. Most of them only do seats but doesn't hurt to try and ask them. As for me, everything about this car is great from its roomy comfort, cargo, handling, mpg, etc... I wouldn't forsake all of that just because a few things (that can easily be changed). Some people even pass on this car because theres no spare tire lol. Which they can easily buy one and store it in the large cargo space if they really wanted it.

Something to keep in mind. Hybrid crvs don’t have spare tires or even the ability to add one. Accord hybrids don’t have spares but you can add one under the floorboard

The looks of this vehicle are really impressive. Does anyone else agree that this will age really well?
As in, you're going to see it everywhere and it's going to get annoying?
Yes, it's really the first attractive CR-V and looks like a miniature Pilot.
looks like any other god damn cuv to me. But hey, maybe I am just too jaded to notice any difference.
Unlike Stockton Rush
Of course we are going to see it everywhere, it's a CRV.. I just think that in 20 years, the styling will still look decent.@@brandonclark8736
Honda's current design language is on point imo. Cars (including previous year Hondas) have gotten too busy and aggressive looking for my taste lately. It's nice to see Honda pull back and make more clean, understated but nice looking vehicles again.
Second to that
Design is PERFECT, Perfection for next 20 yrs.
Agree...if the grills get any bigger on some of the Toyota/Lexus products you will need a booster seat to see over the hood...ridiculous.
This is just about the best “daily” for a sports car owner. Keep the princess in the garage and stack the miles, kids, fast food stops, dogs, and everything else into one of these.
When I first read your comment I thought it said stock up on food stamps.
My little brother once told me that the CRV is the perfect car for someone who absolutely doesn't care about driving and it's totally stuck with me
I always thought that was the RAV4
That's Toyota. Hondas are more driving focused.
The 1 and Gen 2 CRV can be supercharged lol for the longest time I didn’t realize I had a K series engine
What does that even mean?
I think the new CRV looks freaking nice af.
Still loving my 06 but the styling on the new ones is much better than many of the previous generations
I had an 05 ex awd with a manual. It was slow and gas mileage wasn't good but it was reliable and utilitarian.
@@Tool0GT92 I’m only now learning that they are pretty tuneable since they have a good engine. I kinda wanna supercharge it.. lol
If it has the 2.4, hang on to it. Nothing Honda made afterward comes close to that.
@lajya01 meh still slow AF and only got 23mpg, sold it got a 2020 Si and tuned it. Thing ripped and got 44mpg highway.
I love the interior now. Can't go wrong with a CR-V. Kinda boring but it's a Honda. They are so damn reliable.
Culture shock.

That's exactly it, it's the perfect complement to your Sunday driver.
You telling me you canT already do that in the 3 series? Or did you need more space for family
You drove 12,000 miles in 6 months? Holy shit.

Picked one up for my mother earlier this year. Best parts for me are the good blend of power/economy, rear cargo space, and simple interior design. CVT will always be odd for me personally, but as a daily it checks all the boxes of getting from A to B with content.
What's your car?
Great vehicle that I will be keeping for the next several years
I'm actually a little Jealous 🤫
Thanks for sharing. I commute from PA to NYC once a month. This sounds perfect, still fits in the city, the seat and the drive train and the bose system definitely are desirable for 40k.
Do you have a hybrid? Impressive MPG figures!
I think you need a new job, my man.
what job requires you to drive 1,000 miles a week?
My wife has a 2017 CR-V and we love it! Seriously, the most easiest car I have ever driven. Truly a Comfortable Runabout Vehicle!

My brother in law bought this. Very good car for all those points. Practical, comfortable, plenty of features/tech
Thank you Honda for keeping physical controls.

I still think it’s funny that this is a “midsize cuv” in the states. In europe it’s a behemoth
In the States if you can't fit your family couch in it, it's considered compact lol
Well, we have to fit mormons with their six freakin kids into these things..
He misspoke, this is a compact. Honda Pilot is their midsize offering. Honda doesn’t sell a full size suv in USA.
Really appreciate that ya'll are putting in the effort for good HDR. Looks great.
The thing the CRV does perfectly is fade into the background, so you can be alone with your intrusive thoughts on the drive home. It's fantastic.
We have one. I love it. Honda really did a great job on this generation. Just wish they would make the rear turn signals LED like the fronts.
They still aren't LEDs?! Ugh - wish car manuf would stop mixing in the old lamps.
yeah that was a downgrade from the last gen
The rear turn signals were LED last Gen but the headlights were all halogen unless you bought the top trims, and now the roles are reversed 😂.
Cars just seem to forget that have to be around for 20+ years
i just bought one the handling is buttery smooth!! averaging 38-40mpg
It’s a setting, they can be changed to be more or less sensitive

I’m in the stage of life where I don’t give a fuck about what I drive nor have the time to spend around cars. This seems like a perfect tool to get me to places so I can do things that matters.
When Mark turned right instead of left, I felt a distortion in the Force.
Yes, for the love of god please. A hybrid hrv or civic hatch would be a dream. Sad that North America didn’t get the hybrid hrv this new gen

My wife just got one and the back up camera is showing up black and white.
Honda...bring back the Element.
I like the exterior far better than any previous CRV. The boxier shape would make me less embarrassed to be seen driving this. If I just needed a boring reliable hauler for a family of 4, I think this would be near top of the list.
The trunk cargo space is massive on this thing and the back row seats are the roomiest in its segment.
10:50 10:56 sounds like a win. Honda CRV vs Toyota Rav4 vs Mazda CX5/CX50 all just solid choices
I’ve owned several generations of CRV’s & sometimes the new iteration loses features:
I really like the 2023 CR-V. Only one problem...my 2009 CR-V refuses to die (or even get the sniffles). So maybe next year Honda!

They also removed the pair of fold-down seat handles in the rear cargo space. That was standard in all previous gens. Real bummer.
@@joshusa91Exactly. Accord hybrid is a great car!
nobody bought the 2.0t
You can still find the 2.0T Accords for sale. Or even lightly used. I'd definitely go with one of those. The K20C3 engines are awesome, and will last you forever. The transmission options were great too, you could get it with either a 6-Speed manual, or a proper automatic...none of the CVT nonsense. Plenty of space, drive great, and cheap to maintain.
Get a hatchback Civic or Mazda 3. More fuel efficient, fun to drive, cheaper to maintain, easier to park, better looking, cheaper to insure, and you get the great benefit of not being a road NPC.
The mouth crust comment had me laughing for the rest of the video. I had to watch the video again because I missed everything.
Currently looking into one of these. I don't need performance. I want smooth, quiet, capable, and efficient.
But what is it like compared to the STO you reviewed last week?
It's surprising how long it takes for auto manufacturers to finally ditch the piano black in the interiors.
Thankfully not that long, but they resist it, since it's cheap "luxury"
Remember when they were doing the plasti-wood trim and the journalists were bashing them? They responded with something more modern and gave the consumer plasti-piano trim.
Now we wait a decade for the removal of touch-screen-everything...
I like the looks. Taillights and front end taking some cues from the nice Volvo designs of the last few years.
The rear end kinda looks like a baby bmw
Does the hybrid Atkinson 2.0L engine have the direct injection only without the port ingestion? If this is the case, it will have carbon build up and very difficult to decarbonise the intake valves.
Great! I'm waiting for this review.

Pretty important car but I find the CR-V no longer being built in Japan at all as a red flag.
They stopped making it there because they are going to stop selling it there.
Benoit,
Honda has built Accords in Marysville, Ohio ever since 1984!
Please do the 2024 Subaru IMpreza.
I like Honda's newest cars. They may all sort of be the same inside but the exteriors are now streamlined and better looking. Seems refinement is up. I think the next RAV 4 will match the CRV for refinement as the RAV 4 is the old platform now.
I'm glad to see "hybird" hasn't been retired
I'm quite surprised that the top-trim doesn't have a 360 camera nor ventilated seats. The previous-gen RAV4 had a 360 camera, and that was a driving factor in why we got it over the CRV.
I blame that on Honda saving premium features for Acura. I think it’s dumb though.
This might be one of the best normal cars ever made
I have been considering upgrading my Civic for the new CRV only because of ride height and AWD (Winter concerns) and you guys are right.
Do whatever works for you.
@@Josh-yr7gd Black interior is easier to keep clean and is more luxurious. White cloth/leather interior are nightmares waiting to happen.
I think it's an incredibly good-looking SUV. I really like cars and I didn't really care for the last generation style but this style really grew on me it's one of my favorite looking Vehicles now file a lot of money I'd buy one just to have
Just bought the '24 Sport version in white/black trim and its just a beauty. Fun suv to drive too.
Something to keep in mind. Hybrid crvs don’t have spare tires or even the ability to add one. Accord hybrids don’t have spares but you can add one under the floorboard
You can mount one on a swing door like old times if you really want one
Subscribing to Savage Geese has turned me into the new CR-V - 15% more rigid.
Looks so much better than the RAV4 which just over compensates trying to look tough. This Honda is much classier
Now can we get the dealers to sell me one in hybrid trim at sticker price?
In the Northeast there still adding the “market adjustment”
Nervous about buying the turbo, wondering if the oil dilution problem will persist in the new generation.
