Thank you so much for this video! I was an avid hiker in the whites, completing my 48 just after becoming a mom. Now I have a two-year-old and really yearn to get back into the mountains. These types of hikes make it accessible and realistic for me and my daughter.
Rocky Gorge looks quite different when there is no snow. I love that place. Thanks for reminding me. I have to get up to Gorham to shoot Glenn Ellis. I have a waterfalls playlist I need to add to. Have you upgraded your camera? It looks like you are shooting with a DSLR or did you add a camera? Obviously, you shot this mid-week. Rte. 302 at the top of Crawford Notch is as crazy as Franconia Notch on a Saturday. When I did the Elephant's Head in the middle of the Winter on a weekend, it was nuts. There was NO parking for miles. That was a great way to end the day. Every time I head up there, I ask myself why I haven't moved back up, I grew up in Whitefield so you ended in my "backyard". I get jealous every time I watch one of your videos when you get above the notches.
Thank you for the video. I really enjoyed all the different hikes. I have never seen glen ellis falls with so much water rushing thru. I will be checking some of those hikes out this summer.
Thanks for this video, Taylor! Such a fun idea. I'm always looking for short hikes, especially for winter. We're lucky to live in a place where there are so many scenic spots. I bought the exact same Burgeon hoodie last spring and I love it!
Echo Lake in NoCo - yep you can swim but AALWAYS make sure your ears are cleaned out after - LOTS of folks have ear issues after swimming there. Also the ledge you saw from the shore was Whitehorse ledge with The White Mt Hotel at the base of it (Cathedral ledge would have been more to the right of that ledge) and in the winter, there is an impression of a white horse on its face when the snow sticks.
These videos are perfect for when my 3 year old granddaughter visits from out of state. She loves hiking, but has her limits. She does well on steep and rough terrain and even some scrambles, but when she reaches her limit, she plops down on the trail and then she becomes added weight for Dad to carry out, 40 plus pounds. It will be a couple more years before I try to take her on a 4K. Grandpa can't carry that kind of weight. I haven't noticed the subscriber count. I had to check when you said 30K. I was subscriber 600 something, so I have been with you a long time. I can truly say "I knew her way back when." Peace, Love and Kindness.
Perfect timing! Tomorrow I begin my journey to the Whites to start my backcountry caretaker job. Square Ledge is actually the location for the first outdoor class for all the caretakers.
Great selection of hikes! Thanks for sharing. Regarding Thorne Pond the quality portions are actually a great network of trails that run along the Saco River there… they aren’t well signed but it’s pretty straight forward. Also great for beginner mountain biking. The pond itself is definitely a bit blah. If you haven’t yet Artists Bluff and Bald Mtn are amazing
You can swim at Rocky Gorge. Very nice spot. People also jump from the rocks into the gorge. I think the no swimming applies to only the rough section on the gorge/falls
I've done four of those short trails. It's tough to go to Elephant's Head without also going to Bugle Cliff outlook but that's just over 1 mile round trip.
Kudos on the video... You gave a ole guy some hope that I can maybe do it. I was going to take a week to go hiking. You gave me some ideas. Question though. Are there any camp spots near these spots. I am from Ohio so I won't be goin back home after these hikes . If can help thanks. Share many other good hikes to share
Thanks for taking me along!
I think that you are a great ambassador of New Hampshire's outdoor areas! The state tourism department should write you some checks ;)
Yes! They should! She is an awesome ambassador for the beautiful state of New Hampshire…❤️❄️🏔⛺️🏕🗻

Thanks Taylor! I only wish it covered more day hikes in the Western White Mountains.

I love these videos! My daughter and I hiked Pitcher to get the fire tower this past weekend. Such a big reward for a small hike!
... What a great idea !! .. Interesting and beautiful nature hikes ..
Makes me feel like going on a hike.
Glen Ellis Falls is an absolute winter hike. The falls turns to blue ice.
You make my days so happy watching your videos. Continued successes with your store.
Foss mountain in Eaton is another great hike under one mile. It has lots of blueberries and offers 360 degrees views from the summit.
It's great to see a firetower in use! In NY they are not in use but you can climb and go in the cabins .

Great way to highlight some easy day trip hikes for those who aren't hardcore hikers!! Thanks for the assortment!!

Will have to check some of these spots out. Quick note, Echo lakes looks at Whitehorse Ledge, with Cathedral just to the North.
Spectacular awesome beautiful vlogging, hiking and scenery, thank You for sharing these beautiful walks, all the very best.
Rocky gorge is my family’s main swimming spot. I’ve never seen any signs for no swimming.
Absolutely great video. Thank you.

It looks like the Mount toby trail in Leverett,Ma.
So at Thorne Pond if you continue out to the Saco River a couple hundred yards the views are really nice.

29.9. Almost there!!! 💜

Tylor, you need to quit teasing. It’s a long way from GA. Wish I could do all of those trails. I’m so jealous, it looks so beautiful!

Hello from Walpole nh👍

First, Amazing video Taylor! 🌄
I've never been to New Hampshire but you've made me want to visit. How much did you spend on snacks and coffee? 😉
Great video! I'm just wondering/guessing.... Did you complete these hikes before the Crawford Notch fire?
Yes
3:40 Who is that sneaky little bird on the right of the gorge?
Haha I didn't notice that!
are any of those hikes in the White Mountains near the fires?
The last hike is probably the closest, it's in Crawford notch. This was filmed before that fire tho
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Beautiful young woman, going to make someone a great wife.
Thanks for the 411 on Rocky Gorge. I'm always looking for accessable trails for my wife's mobility scooter!
7:10 Whitehorse Ledge, Cathedral Ledge would be to the north.
Good to know, thanks!
