One major thing that might not be immediately apparent is that repair hull at this point is a trap. Just upgrade shield instead since it adds 1 to both current and max and therefore accomplishes the same thing, so only repair hull after you exhaust the shield upgrades. Plus shield upgrade 3 leads into Gellar Field, and any fan of 40k knows exactly what 'that' does .

you're getting better on the tactical side, but you need to be working on the strategy side. That "hurry up" message was telling you to progress the story
