The difference between the gmc and chevy is that chevy is more of basic brand they just give the consumers what they want, the GMC from what I herd is more of luxury brand where I'm guessing more detail goes into it and a little bit more expensive then chevy.

    For crying out loud...
The zr2 has real offroad shocks. Offroad shocks ride more rough than plush, squishy, street comfort shocks. Even Ranchos are noticeably softer than the zr2's. It's so that you can go "offroad" and not bottom out. You'll feel everything, but the suspension will live.
Street performance shocks ride more rough than OEM shocks as well. You can corner better and the vehicle will feel planted...but are noticeably rough riding in comparison.
    Tires play a big part.
Both are very nice trucks...and expensive*

I agree with you on this. I wish you could get massage seats as an option in ZR2 and High Country Tahoe. I own both a 2023 ZR2 and Premier Tahoe That would be great for long road trips which I frequently do more than rock crawl. I’ve ordered a 2024 ZR2 with 3.0 DuraMax for better fuel economy. 15 MPG all around on my 6.2L and premium gas makes it a no brainer for me. Love ZR2, can go almost anywhere with it!

Both are great. I just got a 22 Custom crew cab with multi flex tailgate. It’s great for me. I love the videos when you are driving because I get to see Utah.

I’d go with the zr2 as I prefer the look. The approach angle is good but in the end you are still limited by the departure angle which like most pickups is on the lower side since it has a bed and long overhang.

What's up with gm adding a $1500 onstar fee in the msrp ?

    У меня zr2 22 года. Не хватает:
    1. Колеса35.
    2. Другое передаточное число главной пары.
    3. Oil catch can.
    4. Выхлоп Borla.
    5. Тормоза получше.
    6. Компрессор.😅
    А вообще, очень нравится.

What is the point of having the ZR2/AT4X truck? To be the best off road truck GM has. The ZR2's front end gives you that. That is your conclusion. Also, the AT4X doesn't stand out at all. You can barely tell that it is "upscale" versus the AT4

Thats why I’m probably gonna go with the AT4 instead of the X

I'm in Ecuador now and sold my vehicle before I came here. It's been about it a year now and I've determined when I get back I want a ZR2. The last vehicle I eliminated was the Ford Tremor. And that was simply because the Super Cruise system is better than the Blue Cruise. ZR2 shows Super Cruise available but I don't see any ZR2s on UA-cam with the option. If it's not a true option I'll have to reconsider all my eliminations: Ford Tremor, Tesla model y (X is too expensive for me), Kia Shortage, Telluride. I am so hoping Super Cruise is truly available on the ZR2 and I'm done. Have you seen the option on 2022 or 21? Thanks

Would love to see a comparison of the AT4X 6.2 vs the 3.0 Diesel in that particular truck. Id like to know real numbers in the highway mpg and the towing mpg. I have the 6.2 AT4X and its a great truck but the mileage,,eh,,not so much and I tow a boat quiet a bit. Oh, btw, thanks for this video. My wife wants to move back to Utah, I see why.

Any chance you can do an update comparison with the AT4x and AT4x AEV?

As it should be, GMC is more luxurious! They need to get away from saying same truck different badge.

I got ZR2… it drives like truck… the AT4x is about 10k more and don’t see the value there and it drives much more like car… aka tundra etc

my biggest issue with my ZR2 is the sound system, I traded my F150 King Ranch which was WAY more comfortable to drive and the bose system was amazing, Im fine with the bucket seats but why did Chevy cut cost by skipping a few speakers? nowadays it just doesnt make any sense why you dont get the best sound system when you spend 70k+.
I couldnt pass up on trading in my KR getting very close to what I paid for a two year old truck, I wanted a raptor but theres just no way Im gonna pay 25k market adjustment, sorry Ford but the ZR2 was less then sticker, chevy had rebates plus the costco $1k rebate, it was a no brainer and except for the sound system Im satisfied
