Lastly, he never strikes first. He only go after someone hard if someone take the first blow. He was bullied when he was young, and he reacts much more severely than others when picked on.
@@lanzer22 I see your point, but I'm not buying it. His hours upon hours of his interviews are a public face that he can prepare for it. He's good at that. But that Thailand thing was like, something he wasn't prepared for and his reaction was thus kind of sincere. Much as I had been interested in his forging a way to make electric cars happen, and of course impressed with his previous financial innovations, his terrible judgement and desire to destroy a man simply because he had better expertise at cave rescue, sickened me. No “good guy” calls someone a pedo for trying to save kids in a practical and timely manner instead of trying to make a PR stunt from it. To me it kinda proved that behind that mask he wears in interviews, he's a narcissist with a big ego. His recent manipulation with crypto market when he made people lose hundred of billions by market manipulation only confirmed me that he doesn't really care about others as much as he would like us to believe. Anyway that's how I see it.

I'm happy for him in that he has a loving family and I hope he finds someone in the future as a life partner. Even then, I guess, we are all still alone in some ways.
There's wealthy, and then there's stupid wealthy, my ex was a trust fund girl, so I agree, more money more problems, although I'm upper middle class, I can still relate because I have some wealthy friends that are so money oriented and obsessed they miss out on the best things in life
I love his honesty, his humility, and it's also apparent that he is deep. He will get to the point where he is content with his solitude. One is not truly happy unless he can be so within himself, in his own presence.

I admire the way he talks and lets his character out. He really is having a conversation and thinking about what other people say and draws his own conclusions in it, and then constructs his own opinion methodically and thoughtful. I think every single one of us can learn something from this man, depending on what your beliefs, values and your view on the world is we will all draw our own conclusions from seeing him talk and taking something from it... i think being more self concious and self aware of ourselves and thinking on our own is a skill we should really practice. I personally feel like, people get pressured into being part of something, to obey to something, to walk along with others... they feel like they are something when they are a part of something else. I think we should strive for being unique, not everybody will be unique, a lot of people feel nowadays like NPCs or heartless souls only copy pasting what others do. And its easy to fall victim to that... society also pushes you towards it, people actively or passively force you into it. I am not saying that i am myself not a victim of it, i definitely am... i am catching myself very often just walking with other people without even thinking about it and making my own opinion about it. Not activating my brain... but i am trying to fight against it. Being self aware is one thing, but you also gotta fight it, and you will make people upset, and people will dislike you, wish you the worst and want to see you fail. This goes for social life just like business. Jealousy is a big problem we have, but we should fight it as much as we can. Take care guys, and never give up! If you are lonely, Go out and try to make the world a better place. Find meaning and change the world! If you have time to feel lonely, They go and do something for the greater good… Like Elon!
Elon Musk, you are my hero after your three statements: 1) “Direct democracy is less susceptible to corruption than representative democracy!”; 2) “Laws should be short enough so that anyone could read them!”; 3) “It should be easier to get rid of a law than to make one!” Three thumps up👍👍👍
This man has the weight of human longevity on his shoulders. He thinks trans-generationally and is consumed by how to realise that seemingly crazy dream. Then the interviewer asks him about ephemeral love that would cease once he's gone! A classic case of talking at cross purposes. Elon's unique, and the few world-changing mavericks like him have always lived & operated from a different mental plane than everybody else. He won't be reduced to self-absorbing feelings of temporary love. His passion is much bigger than that. Hats off to this guy!
He has had several wives and numerous kids. He was in love with of all people Amber Heard and was broken hearted when that affair ended. He's not that easy to categorize.
@@hannannah1uk Thanks for chiming in. Let me make what I am saying a tad clearer. Elon has indeed had a higher than average number of marriages and children, but I'm afraid all of that information still misses the mark. Secondly, he is easy to categorise because the rarified group of humans that he undoubtedly (now) belongs to are consumed by solving macro and very complex dilemmas. He admitted to being in love before, but very quickly defaulted to what his consuming passion is - reversing the current inevitability of human extinction. What a gargantuan task! That concept and romantic love are not even on the same planet, literally. There is a highly plausible reason why his relationships ended - because for world changing entrepreneurs, solving the big issue always comes first, everything else (including love) is second. If love fails, you can find somebody else, but if the planet becomes unhabitable before safe interplanetary existence is realised, all the love in the world won't mean a thing. As his marriages have shown, love is ephemeral, but existential destruction is permanent. His consuming pursuit is solving the latter. And by God, for the sake of future generations, hope he does!
I agree with loneliness being a natural thing - sooner be alone than hang around toxic people especially the ones that know more about me than I know myself.

Elon Musk has a saddens in his eye's that breaks my heart. I understand what he's saying. You can be with someone 23 year's and still be lonely. Love is deeper than surface thing's. You want to be yourself and sti have love call your name. You want someone to love you for you. Not what you Bring to the table. Genuinely love you,get you. Have your back, front, side and your middle. It's a blessing to serve, create, to build,to change the course of human life to make a major victory in today society, and still feel lonely. Best gift to give someone who has everything is your time and being really presence for them.. Love n prayers

Yeah lol thought the same. A bit of a displaced intrusion of emotions and thoughts at some point. Like asking if he's searching for true love, who doesn't. It's not revealing in any sense, as at least you wouldn't know you missed it until you experienced it. So kinda pointless to ask.
I think in my opinion (since I'm older & have lots of life experiences), that deep down Elon is "a nice man" and blessed with intelligence. But he is a committed CAREER PERSON, which is why he works a lot and married to his job. And there are ANSWERS FOR EVERY PROBLEM. HE NEEDS TO FIND THE "RIGHT LADY", A WOMAN THAT IS MENTALLY MATURE, not selfish, but a person that is strong, fearless, secure with herself, and never a jealous insecure woman. At the same time NOT a spoiled gold digger, a woman with high moral standards, that respects him but he also respects her and appreciates all her strengths. At the same time a lady that loves to take care of herself, knows how to be sexy for him. And genuinely LOVES HIM FOR WHO HE IS. NATURALLY, SHE NEEDS TO BE SMART TOO, INTERESTING TO BE ABLE TO CARRY ANY TYPE OF CONVERSATION WITH HIM. LOL! I HAVE SOLVED Elon Musk's personal problem. Now, next where can we start to find this "unique" woman for Elon Musk?! I LIKE Elon's mind and personality cause he is an interesting person. God be with him and keep him safe and his children.
I am very happy being alone but get lonely if I get fear of missing out. There is a difference between being alone and lonely, why don't people understand this!!!
Elon could have so many good friends if he had the time... He could make wonderful connections with other astronomers if he wanted to and out of pure passion.
We all get lonely. Especially when we know we are bright, different, cultured, and one who never turns the brain off. Curiosity is such a positive quality. You have to remember the difference between lust, loving another in spite of their frailties, and loving another for the long haul.
He said, "If I forget my dog..." Maybe that's why he feels lonely sometimes because when he is immersed in projects he has forgotten others...and I included the dog in "others" as animals are creatures we love. I sort of thought maybe he forgets his family too, or his child, and to be remote like that, when you remember you have forgotten then you would feel lonely. But feelings of loneliness come and go like all other feeling states, and the feeling of love and liking come and go and come back again too.
...just to add to what I was writing before: YOU conjugate the verb TO BE, while the others. more or less financial bracket conjugate the verb.ONLY the verb TO HAVE....
When we talk about people we use I, You, She, He, We etc. but focus on work we use "It", cause it is a thing same as T(w)itter, rockets, cars that's why in "It" no love can be found.

@@Epictetus888 I think he more simply meant that he doesn't want human race to go extinct. We as humans are light in this universe full of darkness.
@@Epictetus888 I think you're exaggerating this a bit. It simply means that even in darkness of days, there is light (I prefer to use the word hope, it makes more sense). As long as there is hope, there is a chance for future growth and like you stated, who benefits from these sort of powers? Humans do.
@@Epictetus888 Everlasting? Are you religious or 5. Even the 6y old twins of my dead friend (at 38) know you are wrong.
The planet is cloaked in darkness, as are we, who have become increasingly vulnerable. Elon knows. The truth of the situation is more profound and apocalyptic than most people are willing to comprehend.

I can tell Elon Musk has a good heart. This interview made me tear up :')
why you think so? I lost all faith in Elon Musk as a man over that business in Thailand.
@@polpol1005 I think a person's capability in hurling insults is but one tiny aspect to the person as a whole. There are hours upon hours of his interviews, where he share thoughts and actions that are very agreeable. So I can take the bad along with the good, as long as the good far outweighs the bad.
Anyway that's how I see it.

its very hard for most people to understand that money isn't the answer to loneliness. My family is wealthy (Obviously not in the same league as Elon) but I recognise it is isolating, must be nothing compared to Elon. Or be with emotionally supportive friends
There's wealthy, and then there's stupid wealthy, my ex was a trust fund girl, so I agree, more money more problems, although I'm upper middle class, I can still relate because I have some wealthy friends that are so money oriented and obsessed they miss out on the best things in life

Amen! He needs of our prayers. Deep inside, he feels extremely lonely 😭😭😭

Elon is so authentic and honest to the core. He is lonely. He achieved a great success, but at the expense of his personal life unfortunately. Great interview, insightful questions. Well done!
This interview struck so many topics, However reading the comments it would seem loneliness was the only topic discussed. Very revealing! If you are lonely, Go out and try to make the world a better place. Find meaning and change the world! If you have time to feel lonely, They go and do something for the greater good… Like Elon!
Elon Musk, you are my hero after your three statements: 1) “Direct democracy is less susceptible to corruption than representative democracy!”; 2) “Laws should be short enough so that anyone could read them!”; 3) “It should be easier to get rid of a law than to make one!” Three thumps up👍👍👍
👍👍👍
This man has the weight of human longevity on his shoulders. He thinks trans-generationally and is consumed by how to realise that seemingly crazy dream. Then the interviewer asks him about ephemeral love that would cease once he's gone! A classic case of talking at cross purposes. Elon's unique, and the few world-changing mavericks like him have always lived & operated from a different mental plane than everybody else. He won't be reduced to self-absorbing feelings of temporary love. His passion is much bigger than that. Hats off to this guy!
This is a really good perspective that i did not consider. Very well explained.
Still at best he states that those lofty pursuits at best can make someone half-happy…

I feel like he works so hard to solve the worlds problems because it’s the only way he can justify the sacrifice of raising his children.

We all get lonely. Especially when we know we are bright, different, cultured, and one who never turns the brain off. Curiosity is such a positive quality. You have to remember the difference between lust, loving another in spite of their frailties, and loving another for the long haul.
If I was 30 years younger I would steal his heart and he would never feel lonely again-i ADORE ELON ❤
Weird
He said, "If I forget my dog..." Maybe that's why he feels lonely sometimes because when he is immersed in projects he has forgotten others...and I included the dog in "others" as animals are creatures we love. I sort of thought maybe he forgets his family too, or his child, and to be remote like that, when you remember you have forgotten then you would feel lonely. But feelings of loneliness come and go like all other feeling states, and the feeling of love and liking come and go and come back again too.
I feel less lonely knowing that No1 man in the world has the same feelings

As a pastor I find everyone feels loneliness from time to time. It’s just being human, but if you respond to it in a healthy way is the key.
When we talk about people we use I, You, She, He, We etc. but focus on work we use "It", cause it is a thing same as T(w)itter, rockets, cars that's why in "It" no love can be found.
