Coo videol to see, I have several 80lb bows, the core sr is what purchased this year. Pse Mach 34 is 3.6 lbs 34 inch ata. pse does carbon right hand laid in the USA. That said I got a lift 33 and it’s a phenomenal bow. Have a feeling all the companies will be coming out with lighter bows next year. Mathews sets the trends.
It’s not a new trend . 12 years ago most bows were sub 4lbs. Including Mathews . I don’t think Martin even made a bow in their lineup over 4lbs back then.
@@danielsmith8659 Split limbs, wide platforms, and enough material to make them vibration free makes it nearly impossible to be sub 4. Bows of yesteryear dont compare in size and shape of todays bows.

Awesome video. I'm 50 years old and have been shooting since I was a kid. Shot 70 lb bows maxed out and a couple of hundred arrows a few times a week for many years and I'm paying the price now with elbow pain and shoulder pain. It's so unnecessary compared to the price you may pay later on. That said good luck with the new puppy.

They have new V3X bows now for $700-$750. I think it's better than the lift especially now with all the limb problems the lift has, main thing is I like the draw ay back wall better than the lift . The 430 grain arrow is the way to go. Great video, just found your channel.

Shot Mathews for years, then went with the RX seven was planning on going back to Mathews because of the hype of the lift! To me Hoyt has a lot better you’re draw cycle less vibration and doesn’t jump forward like the lift but, that’s just me. Enjoy watching your videos subscribed!
Bro I believe bows within 3 years of each other are going to be similar. There’s not a lot these days that are game changers. The Phase 4 and the lift have been the biggest changes in two years for Mathews but your V3X is hanging with the front runner. I’m just shocked (still) how they have shaved the Lift down to get the weight down to compare to the carbon bows. That’s pretty impressive.
After being into archery even before the wheelies were invented the best advice I tell people is shoot a bow that draws smoothly AND fits your body size ( which is hard to explain but is a real factor). For 99.99% of time speed is not the answer. The answer is ACCURACY. And when a bow is easy for you to draw and hold you will shoot more. And that is what will make you a better archer. Lots of people draw 75-80+#’s but they have that physical ability which is fantastic. It boils down to what an individual enjoys and is comfortable with. So many options anymore it’s ridiculous.
I've been shooting a Mathews DXT, 29 3/4 ata, 29/70, 3.75lbs, for 16 years. I'm 6'2 and my wingspan is 75.5 inches. I've shot it well at times, but it definitely doesn't "fit" my body. I think I've been missing out and I'm about to upgrade.
Curious which one has the smoother draw to you? Shot them today and the draw cycle on v3x seemed way smoother! Lmk which one feels better on the draw - thanks!
Great video man! I think the reason for the v3x seeming to be faster is due to the string twists where as the lift is 80 pounds with mods. Idk if that is making the difference or not?
Did I miss it what ata your Mathews are? Can you get mods at 31” for the Lift 29.5? How did you set up for 31.25”? Great video & glad you mentioned the weight benefit of the Lift! One of the main reasons I’m switching from V3X to the Lift. Also the the 80lb mods- Can’t resist! Happy Holidays
