Amazing video as always! Sekiro will forever be one of my favourite stories in games and thanks for the detailed and easy to understand explanation
Sekiro hadn't obtained sakura droplet from Kuro! We get it from defeating Lady Butterfly. It is already said in description that it's left after unsuccessful bound of the Oath with a Divine Heir - which is not the case with us as we are properly bound with Kuro, but it happens AFTER fight with Lady Butterfly -, and after showing it to Kuro he says that it belonged to Takeru! Which implies that somebody tried obtaining immortality through unwillingly bounding Takeru with a new servant. And because it had been unwillingly made it was an unsuccessful try, 'cause it seems that the point of the Oath is that a Divine Heir must be willing to do so (based on that Sekiro was practically unconscious when Kuro bound him with Oath and on that Genichiro never forced Kuro, but he had all the opportunities and willingness for it as he said that he would even leave his humanity behind for achieving his goals)
It took this video for me to realize that the reason Anayama didn't show up for me in my Sekiro randomizer run is because I killed him in the past and now I'm locked from completing the game
It was awesome, I had no idea what the story was about! I hope one day I actually beat bloodborne or elden ring (the ones I own and suck at) so I can justify buying more of these games 😂😂😂

40:03 perhaps Kuro was under a spell? That was my first impression EDIT: no, actually this was a mistranslation. Kuro doesn't ask "who are you?" he asks "what about you?" Furthermore Wolf is well-known to be Kuro's Shinobi by the residents of Hirata
i come back to this game for both the fun and the story, its no contest for me that this is the best story they have told. its beautiful, its thrilling, its heart breaking, and i will come back to listen to this tale again and again so thank you for this video
Also don't know if you noticed this but I theories that the black mortal (open gate) blade belong to lady Tomoe and lord Takeru, they didn't reach the inner sanctum (which is also why the red mortal blade is still in possession of the Divine Child of Rejuvenation), however they did find the black scroll (which is why it can be found near where Isshin reside after you got all the ingredients to go to fountainhead palace) and got their hand on the black mortal blade instead, which is also why Genichiro was able to recover it, he was Tomoe pupil! But what bugged me was how did they failed their immortal severance, as Divine Heir (such as Kuro) are still being born, and they did have all the materials needed to reach the Divine Realm, so perhaps the black mortal blade couldn't perform the Immortal Severance? But it comes with an ability unique to the red one which is the ability to bring back those from the beyond
I absolutely love this video, your accent and intonation are therapeutically informative. This would be a good 'going to sleep now' vid if it wasnt so interesting. Love all the lore vids, man. Keep on keepin on!
Great storytelling, and presentation. One singular solitary nitpick. Concerning the cutting off of Sekiro's arm, the word is 'dismembered'. "Decapitated' means SPECIFICALLY that the HEAD is separated from the body.

"Sekiro had his arm decapitated" ahhh say what now? 😂😂
Jokes aside this game is my GOAT. I cannot even tell you how many runs I've done and I cannot get enough. I will never forget seeing Fountainhead Palace for the first time. That is what I live for in videogames. Thank you so much for making this. You've broken this down amazingly and the way you've put it together is pure bliss.
The way you explain the story throughly is like reading a Novel and each word perfectly align with the scene, the video is very nicely done 👍
The combat in this game is so addicting. The clashing , the parry mechanics. What next game must I lose my mind too
I'm so hype for this. I listen to a lot of these longer, more drawn out videos while I'm at work and sekiro is all time favorite game of mine so this is awesome
Such an incredible and well made video. I myself haven't gotten around to playing Sekiro yet but I love this lore and story so much I know I will eventually.
You should definitely play it when you get the chance, and thank you for watching my friend! ❤️
100 deflects
100 mikiri counters
100 dodges
Every single day!
Its better than the Souls games
It’s definitly harder than a souls game but harder because it’s different once you learn the mechanics and how combat works it’s super fun
Says yet on a 4 year old game u ain't finna play bruh stop I just finished platnum the game again soo yea don't lie
If you ever release these lore videos on blu ray id be so excited
This was amazing. You guys did such an amazing job and I can’t stop crying.😢
Can already tell this video is going to be amazing, your videos are such a high quality. This is gonna be a joy to watch through.
Thank you for the kind words my friend, let us know your thoughts on the video! ❤️
I beat the game twice And had no idea what most of the game was about. You guys made a perfect documentary for me 🙏🏼
Honestly love the love this game since day one. The lore is deep and I understand that not everybody understands the parallels of the lore. It is also a story that happens in real life.
Thanks for the amazing content again! I always look forward to your guys' videos they are so detailed and so well shot. Its brilliant!

I’ve listened to this at least 3-4 times now! This was fucking amazing keep up the hard work!
You have no idea how much I love your lore series. After watching the videos once , i listen to them and feel relaxed and fall asleep. You talk about games i love and at the same time helped me quit the pills. So thank you for everything 💓🙂
It’s always mind blowing to hear the ways in which our videos impact people, with that said, we are always humbled by the stories you guys share with us. It’s amazing that you we were able to change your life for the better, and we’re here for it! Thank you. ❤️
Much appreciated for the video. All the editing recording writing and reading must have taken a while. Great job
I think you said Gyoubu's name incorrectly. It's GYOUBU MASATAKA ONIWA (Sorry, had to write this down). Also, an amazingly put together lore video.
This video was beautifully constructed. It was a masterpiece, and the music took it to another level. Well done ❤❤❤❤
UA-cam autoplay showed me this video while I was sleeping lmao, very good work!
Thank you for giving me the lore behind my favourite game of all time!
That O’rin lore brought me to tears man wtf?!!
Just finished all the endings of sekiro within 4 playthroughs and found your video .. your explanation and voice really made me speechless as well as emotional to the point where I teared up ..
Yeah and that guy is Owl, not much to say when not only he was the one who cut the branch of the Everblossom
It took this video for me to realize that the reason Anayama didn't show up for me in my Sekiro randomizer run is because I killed him in the past and now I'm locked from completing the game
I'm here thank thank you for another work of art
You’re welcome my friend, thank you for watching! ❤️
I've been waiting for this one for over a year myself. I'm sure it's been longer for others.
Dude I have to play this game. This was beautiful and damn tragic. Thank you so much.
You’re absolutely welcome, you owe it to yourself to play Sekiro! ❤️
Best Fromsoft story narrators!!!
I'm at work, but I'll be watching this tonight!
It was awesome, I had no idea what the story was about! I hope one day I actually beat bloodborne or elden ring (the ones I own and suck at) so I can justify buying more of these games 😂😂😂
Love it! Awesome job. One nitpicking remark though. 14:32 An arm is either severed or dismembered. Only a head is decapitated. 🙂
Such a well made video. You deserve more subscribers and views. I hope the algorithm picks this up.
Thank you so much, your kind words are appreciated. We sure hope the algorithm picks this up to haha.
Perfect story explanation as always keep up the good work
Sekiro lore and story doesn’t hit nearly as hard for me as other fromsoft, but it’s still quite good, and of course this video was outstanding. Amazingly executed, I’m constantly blown away by the quality of your work, truly the greatest comprehensive fromsoft lore videos out there
Thank you very much, we’re glad that you enjoyed the video! ❤️
The Best story of Fromsoft. Sekiro is a great persin who found his goal not for himself but for his Master.
Great work, it's been a while since I played so it was great to have this "extended synopsis" remind me of what a masterpiece this story was 🙏
LETS GOOOOOO MY FAVOURITE CHANNEL UPLOADED IM SO HYPED IM GOING TO WATCH THIS ON REPEAT FOR DAYS THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HARD WORK
YOU’RE WELCOME hahaha, thank you for supporting our channel, it means so much to us! ENJOY!!! ❤️
Wasn't expecting Sekiro, but glad you did!
30:58 “hit that like button”
Me. “Well damn I’ve already watched half an hour, might aswell”
Bro make the most detailed fucking story explanation of one of the worlds best games and only got 12k likes. I dont know how but people are underappreciating this mans work. This is what i would call a perfect story explanation
This is my favorite game and I always love to learn more about it. Thanks
Great video
Now I am crying
40:03 perhaps Kuro was under a spell? That was my first impression
EDIT: no, actually this was a mistranslation. Kuro doesn't ask "who are you?" he asks "what about you?" Furthermore Wolf is well-known to be Kuro's Shinobi by the residents of Hirata
Can't believe Nord Vipieen of the Nordic Clan was the real Sekiro all along
I love your story explaining series bro
They're really interesting
Bro, I've played this game upside down 😂😂 jumping from 1 end to another knowing nothing about the story but Im excited for the ng+
i come back to this game for both the fun and the story, its no contest for me that this is the best story they have told. its beautiful, its thrilling, its heart breaking, and i will come back to listen to this tale again and again
so thank you for this video
Thanks for keeping me entertained at work lol. Amazing video, well done!
Exactly. Black Blade opens the gate, Red Blade Closes the gate.
I was waiting a while for this to drop 🤘
I absolutely love this video, your accent and intonation are therapeutically informative.
This would be a good 'going to sleep now' vid if it wasnt so interesting.
Love all the lore vids, man. Keep on keepin on!
Thank you Steven, this comment made our day! ❤️
You have a great story telling voice.
Great storytelling, and presentation. One singular solitary nitpick. Concerning the cutting off of Sekiro's arm, the word is 'dismembered'. "Decapitated' means SPECIFICALLY that the HEAD is separated from the body.
This is a very indepth and beautiful video essay. Thank you so much for this
@@bigcatgraphics007 You’re welcome! Thank you for watching. ♥️
I’m so glad i stumbled upon this I can pass out in peace now
